Discovered and added something new about viperfish... their stomachs aren't large, per se, but they can expand to twice their normal size. eek

I found the same with Vampire bats and Fleas actually~ Seems common with critters that gorge themselves but have a fast metabolism, blood-suckers in particular. :]
I drew bat-Fi with a pot-belly once. xD

Hey look, an update with substance!
I talked with a friend who said the most likely kind of damage in Sid's case would be to have gone into a skid with his leg under the motorcycle. At high speeds his leg could have been ripped off, but assuming he saw the oncoming car in time to try and swerve and break Sid managed to avoid that much. So he swerves to the right, the bike tips, and his leg is dragged under it for several yards before it comes to a halt. So while surgery saved his leg, it's pretty useless and a constant source of pain. The knee is the worst mess of all, and there's probably a few good scars here and there elsewhere as well.
In short: Ouch.
And that's assuming said friend knew what she was talking about.
