Beyblade helped keep me sane and get a high grade in my science class in my sophomore year in high school. I had this really creepy teacher who had this knack for sneaking up on various students. It seemed she especially liked sneaking up on me, or calling me for recitation. When she donned her lab coat, the 'Boris Effect' was complete (despite being of the opposite gender). My two friends and I pretended to be Tala, Bryan, and Kai (I was Kai) every science class.

And then there was the time we had a declamation exercise in class; our grade from that exercise was going to make up 45% of our final grade. We had the option of writing our own piece, or using one the ten provided by the teacher. I chose the former option, and wrote a piece from Kai's point of view. I swear, the teacher did a double take when I started speaking in a sort-of male voice. After class, he asked me if I were really female! rofl I said that I was and that I just had a naturally low speaking voice.

And don't get me started on the essays I wrote...

Nevermind. I'd rather not. I might think up something...unacceptable. I'm such a child. I'm 17, yet I still close my eyes during kissing scenes and the like in PG-13 movies. rofl

Back to topic...

My senior year in high school was fun. My physics teacher was kind of dumpy and balding (Mr. Dickenson look-alike! LOL!), so that made it easier to 'play' as Kai, and whenever there were formulae to memorize, I put in the Beyblade context, such as "Dragoon loses a lot of energy when he attacks because (insert formula here)..." You get the point. xd

wow..its really interesting to know that some people are like the characters sometimes..my teacher is also like that flameangel_child524! she is female too! the female Boris since she likes to..."whip" at people.. she tortures the class with her strict rules and almost screams at their faces once she caughts you doing something...she can make any HS boy cry! but not my big brother though so i imagine my school as "The Balcov Abbey" and my teacher is Boris and my big brother is Young Kai who is still training back in the Abbey!

Actually, what's happening right now is that I'm running into several people in my college who act like they came right out of the Beyblade series... complete with voices! eek

No, seriously, they do, and most are from my course block. There's Jo, who really acts like Hilary; and then there's Chris, the girl who could pass for Mariah (plus, she LOVES pink :O); there's Rick, who is very nearly the spitting image of Kai in both looks and personality (to the point of disappearing from most of our block get-togethers) xd

Then there's Angelo, who is a real-life Tyson. We ate out at a Chinese restaurant one day, the kind with those 'good for two to three persons' servings? Well, he ate two servings of yang chow rice, 1/4 Peking duck, and polished off Nic's (one of two who could pass for Emily) beef brisket and rice... and then complained that he was still hungry! rofl

And then there's Phil, the happy guy of the group (hello, Max!); and Aziel, resident Julia on account of her love of fashion, makeup and such (anyone remember the training camp episode where Julia had a face mask on?); and our Mathilda, Jika - small, spritely, very lively and friendly. And then Miguel, who acts just like Michael from the All Starz, and Migz, who's just like Miguel from Barthez Battalion. xd Oh, my word, even their names are close! rofl

There's Klaire, the 'other' Emily (ugh! She was my seatmate in one class...); and Loren, who's a bit like Judy (wow! That's out of place!); and Sam, the brainy but nice girl - Kenny! blaugh

And there's Andy (this one's a girl, though), who is eerily similar to Tala (note the opposite genders, both in name and physical traits xd ). She happens to be my best friend, too, but she's moved away to Canada now...

In truth, Rick has already opened up somewhat to the rest of the block...but I haven't. xd And I've beed described as the 'quiet and mysterious girl'... confused ...Okay, looks like Andy and I are the only ones from the Demolition/Blitzkrieg Boys, then, since Rick isn't really Kai anymore... xd

There are several others (such as my aesthetics teacher 'Boris', and my comics instructor 'Mr. Dickenson' - no seriously, they even sound like them! eek ), but I'd rather not go through the whole list...
