"I think I might have to agree with you on that one Mr. Kade. I think I would enjoy that very much," she smiled at his teasing.

They continued to eat and chat lightly until they had put a rather large dent in the meal. Finally she put her chopsticks down on the edge of her plate and gave Kade a brilliant smile. "That's it! I can't eat another bite," she grinned. "I know of a place we can go now if you're ready."

Slowly the meal dissapeared and his stomach filled up, just as Cirrus put down her chopsticks down, he was thinking about doing the same thing. Smiling he set his own utensils down and lifted his hand to signal to the waitress. She nodded at him and waved, still at another table, he nodded and turned back to Cirrus.

"I follow you lead Lady." The term had become a title and a habit now. The waitress came over and gave him the ticket. He fished his wallet out of his pocket and pulled out some yens. Counting he put a bit more than the correct amount down. "I'm ready when you are ma'am."

Cirrus smiled and rose to her feet. She waited for him to do the same, then led the way out of the restaurant. She restrained herself from slipping her hand back to the comfortable position on his arm as they walked side by side talking amiably about silly little things.

The previous week, she had gone walking with Kayne and had found a park that was filled with blossoming cherry trees. The sight had been breathtakingly gorgeous, but Kayne had just sighed and rolled his eyes at her awe. She really didn't care if Kade would be impressed or not. The park was beautiful, and she wanted to share it with him.

She turned through an ornate gate and stopped to give him a smile. "We're here. Isn't it beautiful?" she nearly whispered as her eyes filled with the pale pink of the blossoms. "There's a park bench just over there," she said, gesturing off to the left with her small chin.

Walking beside her through the streets, Kade resisted putting his arm around her, his logical mind telling him they had just met, and couldn't possibily already be at that comfort level. He followed along beside her, talking and enjoying her company. When they finally stopped, Kade looked up, he had not really been pay attention to where they were going, paying too much attention to Cirrus.

Looking beyond Cirrus through the ornate gates his eyes softened further at the sight. He knew the word Sakura, the word for Cherry blossoms, but he had as of yet to have seen them in the country. Drawing up beside Cirrus, he put his arm around her waist unconciously and looking back down at her he smiled.

"It is very beautiful." Looking into soft silver eyes, he forgot about the cherry blossoms for a moment. Tightening his grip around her wiast lightly, more a soft squeeze he guided them through the gates and to a near by bench. Sitting he kept his arm around her, fitting her into the curve of his side so perfectly.

When Kade slipped his arm around her waist, Cirrus's heart began to race and when he looked down at her with his soft smile, her knees turned to jelly. She was glad when he moved her over to the bench to sit down. He held her close and she liked the way she fit so nicely into his side, her head resting lightly on his shoulder. She gave a small sigh of happiness.

"This day has been perfect," she said softly, not realizing she had said it aloud.

He felt her sigh, and though he could feel her heart beating a bit fast, his own heart was a bit erratic as well. It had been some years since he had found a girl he really liked, and he had never had such an instant connection with any one; it was nice. Cirrus didn't seem like other girls that he had to impress and cater to, it seemed he had always had to do something else to keep the girl happy. With Cirrus, it seemed that just being together was enough, and that was perfect for his way of thinking.

He heard her soft proclamation and his lips curved into a soft smile. He didn't reply, rather he laid his lips on her head, inhaling her sweet smell, a soft kiss on her head and a smile and he moved back. Reaching across his lap he took one her hands and held it between them. He liked this, he liked just being here and not caring what time it was, where he had to be, or what he had to say. It was indeed a perfect day.

Cirrus closed her silver eyes as she felt Kade move slightly and then felt him press his lips to the top of her head. She breathed deeply and her lips curled into a small contented smile at his rich masculine scent. He had stolen her heart away, and probably didn't even really know it.

She had never had the opportunity to spend time with another guy like this before. Things had been so different in Ireland and America. She had never felt safe like she did here... and never more so than right at this moment. Kade wasn't here to take advantage of her. He hadn't set out to have the day lead to this moment in time. It had happened naturally.

When he took her hand in his again she knew her heart would be sure to jump out of her chest at any moment. She didn't care that they had only met a few hours ago. This was where she knew she was meant to be. Slowly she pulled her head away from his shoulder to look up into his deep blue eyes.

"Kade.... thank you," she said softly.

Kade felt her pull away a bit and loosened his hold on her so she could move away if that was what she wanted. When she looked up at him, he looked down at her, and the soft look on her face and the sweetness that was Cirrus, it was liable to make him melt, he just smiled waiting for her words. At the proclamation of gratitude a soft brow rose in question, he knew she wasn't thanking him for paying for dinner, he was at a bit of a loss what exactly she was thanking him for.

"Your welcome sweet heart." He said lightly. "But I should be the one saying thank you." And it was true, he hadn't had such a soft day in a long time, even living with his Pop there was alawys something to make the day move too fast. "What are you thanking me for Lady?" He asked, an unconcious hand coming up to give her platinum locks a soft affectionate tug. There was something else there, something he, still just on the edges of knowing her, was unaware of.

He wanted to know everything about her, he wanted to keep all worry and pain from her eyes, protect her from everything and just be there for her, and he didn't know why; but he didn't care.

A small smile played across her lips at his words. "I'm thanking you for giving me a beautiful day... And... I know that we've really just met, but thank you for being with me... right here, right now," she said softly, keeping her eyes on his.

Suddenly the thought of Kayne popped into her head unbidden, and an unconcious frown creased her brow. Why did she have to think about him right now? Even when he wasn't hovering over her he managed to ruin special moments. She tried to shove him away and focus solely on Kade and his warm body pressed against hers, but his silver eyes glared at her inside her thoughts. A bit frustrated that he could so easily intrude upon her happiness, Cirrus pulled her hand out of Kade's to shove some hair behind her ear.

Kade smiled down at her at her admission and was about to say something to the effects of him being grateful as well, but she suddenly went cold. He could have asked what he did wrong, but he know he didn't do anything. Instead he reached out his hand to reclaim hers, not restricting it, but rather getting her attention.

"Whats wrong Cirrus?" He asked, mostly casually but with only a tinge of aprehension for her. In some cases, he would have let the person blos off what ever foul wind had blown over them, but this case was differnt, or he would like it to be differnt. He needed, and wanted Cirrus to know that she could talk to him about anything, she didn't have to hide from him if she didn't want to. But again he didn't wanna push her.

Cirrus's attention fell back to Kade when he reached up and took her hand in his again. She studied him for a moment then realized what had just happened, and an apology immediately filled her eyes.

"I'm so sorry Kade," she quickly said. "It's my brother. He... he doesn't like it when he doesn't know where I am. I think he may be a bit angry with me for disappearing on him." She quickly readjusted the hand he was holding to slip her fingers through his. Her eyes slipped down from his to their entwined fingers and she figured he deserved a better explanation. He would have to hear it sooner or later if they continued on this path.

"The thing is... my brother... has taken care of me our whole lives. He's... very protective of me and he would not be happy if he saw us here... right now. I just... don't want him to hurt you," she said, reaching up with her free hand to lightly caress his face.

Kade was a bit confused for a moment, well actually more than that, by her explantion that she thought that her brother was mad at her. He thought about him and Laurel, and while they didn't know what the other was thinking, they could generally be counted on to have a good hunch despite their distance. It seemed people who had lived together for so long they got a feeling.

"Do we need to go?" He asked genuinely. It seemed she was worried for his saftey, he hid a sardonic smile, but of course they had just met, and he kept his past to the past. "If you are worried and want to go thats fine." He cradled the hand that came up to touch his face. "But don't worry on my account." He took the hand and kissed her lightly on the palm.

"Go?" Cirrus repeated softly. She wasn't ready for that. She wanted to spend the rest of the day with Kade sitting under the cherry blossoms. But she could feel how angry Kayne was getting. It wouldn't be wise to continue to worry him. She had ruined the moment that had been so perfect, or, rather, Kayne had without even knowing it. The feel of his lips on her palm sent warm tingles throughout her.

"Kade.... you believe me about what I said, right? I meant every word. You really have no idea how much meeting you has meant to me," she said, then leaned over and kissed him lightly on his cheek. "I'm so sorry... but I think we should go. You do understand that it has nothing to do with you... right?" she asked, her eyes pleading for him to understand.

The warmth of her soft lips on his cheek sparked a warmth in his chest, and he lifted his hand free of hers to cradle her face and keep her close. "Belive me, as much as this day has meant to you, it has been the same for me." His thumb caressed her cheek lighlty, with her so close he wanted to kiss her, more than just the cheek, but he was determined to wait. "But if are you worried about your brother, I will gladdly go back with you." He had a feeling that if she went back along, the boy might give her a bit of undue harrassment as was the want of some brothers, and he wasn't about to let that happen on his account.

He stood then, smoothly pulling her up beside him, just because they were going back didn't mean he was going to give up being close to her. His arm retuned to encircle her waist. Looking down at her, he couldn't resis, he beant down and laid his lips just below her eye kissing her cheek. "It is totally up to you what we do Lady." He meant that, he wasn't going to do anything unless she wanted to do it, he wasn't going to push himself on her, no matter how inviting her lips look and how much he wanted to hold her against him and just kiss her.

Cirrus rose to her feet and fit easily into his side as his arm pulled her gently against him. Her mind was foggy with the electricity that had passed between them after she had kissed him. She was certain he had wanted to kiss her and she wished he had. But Kade was a gentleman and she knew and respected him for that. She leaned into him and slipped her arm around his waist.

They approached the school gate and Cirrus pulled him to a stop. She pulled away from him and looked up into his eyes. "Thank you for taking me out today. I had so much fun," she said, her bright smile returning. She quickly hopped up onto her tip toes and kissed him just to the side of his lips. With a small push off of his chest, she twirled around in a cloud of platinum hair and jogged away back to the dorms.
