Why do I like Gundam Wing:
It is a story that is built around humanity's faults. Along with big robots with bigger guns, it has this emotion surrounding and exuding from it that never fails to draw you in. Even watching old episodes you can still pick up new subtle hints at why characters progess in the way they do...and above all that, Gundam Wing is one of the few...precious few series that does not have a central grand villain pulling the strings. It's never good vs. bad outright, it's Ideal vs. Ideal.
It is also the only anime where people I've absolutely despised in the beginning (Such as Lady Une or Zechs) Become hi ranking favorites of mine by the end. It is also one of the few anime with a destined couple I actually like...even if I make fun of Releena randomly...she knows I love her.
...I just hope Heero doesn't. >_> I do not want to die young here people.

Quatre/Dorothy- Sure...she almost kinda kills him but it's kinda like H/R to me.

Trowa/Midii and Trowa/Lady Une- The sweet little love story told between Trowa and Midii is just so adorable! And I'm in love with the idea that Lady Une and Midii could somehow be related...
Trowa/Quatra- Okay. This is really the only shonen-ai pairing I can stand to read. I think the two complment each other well. I also enjoy the occasional fic where Quatra ends up really being a girl... *snickers*
Wufei/Meiran- Her big death scene. Um. Too. sweet. For. Words.
Wufei/Sally- I'll read and enjoy these assuming they're well written. Mostly I think Sally's a little mature for him, but they have the makings of a fine couple.

Why do I like Gundam Wing:
It was the first gundam series that i have seen every episode. I wasnt able to see it on the tv. well there was one time it was epsiode 12 i think. anyways i was at a friends house i saw a part of it and it confused me at first but i thought it looked cool. i didnt know the name of the show until my cusion bought me a model of the death scythe hell custom then i decided i would check out the show. after that i became hooked on it because the gundams looked super cool and it had one of the best story lines i have ever seen.

Why do I like Gundam Wing: Back when I was in middle school, is was flipping through some channels on television after school, and I just happened to stumble upon Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network's Toonami. This was the first time I was exposed to anime and I loved the interesting style of animations. And seeing robots fighting other robots made me remember of Transformers and so I watched the series.

Heero/Trowa : Simply because during the time that they were paired, their tactical skills were based more on actions than words. They seem to be the deadlier couple opposed to others such as Trowa and Quatre...
Zechs/Heero : Ok. this really isn't a proven fact, only a suggestion. These two would make the best pair considering their combat skills, tactical advantages, and overall determination. If this pair were to become reality then who would possibly have a hold on it?

I started the series when I was a bit younger.. then as I grew, I understand exactly how detailed the story line was and how into the characters I was able to get. Simply put, I love mechs... and the GW storyline fits the profile I wanted to love a series.

Location: GP, Oregon Gundam series viewed: According to the box I borrowed from Jared, "New Mobile Report Gundam Wing -- Mobile Suit Gundam Wing." I'm pretty sure it's After Colony to the shorthanded. XP I've seen it all except for one episode, which I will see soon enough if I get around to watching the rest of the series. I'm also familiar with the Endless Waltz portion. The first time I saw GW, it was airing on Toonami (ohgawd), and I found it interesting because, due to the air date of 06 March, the second episode aired 07 March- the second episode being Relena's birthday. XP However, it's been years since I saw the show, and I'm only just now getting a chance to re-watch it. I have seen glimpses of SD, and glimpses of Gundam where they are used in competitions and instead of sitting in pilot seats, they are covered in what looks like a BDSM's wet dream. Favorite Gundam Wing Character: A hard one. I like them all when they're not being emo little bitches- probably I *heart* Quatre the best, given that I love Lawrence of Arabia (the novel, please) to death. Favorite pairings: 3+4, 1+2, 13+5. I detest 13/6. Otherwise, I can mix and match with slashing abandon. Favorite episode: In which Quatre is licked by puppies and Trowa looks sweet. Favorite Gundam: Sandrock after the customization. The cloak was incredible, and the scythes for sexy as all get out. Favorite Pilot: Trowa. People who say he doesn't talk much are apparently not taking into account the ridiculous amount of poetically strategic reflection he does inside the suit. Freaky, but quite awesome. Also, the circus twist he does while in the suit is quite incredible. Other interests: Writing fanfiction, at FF.Net.Collecting the highest quality slash (w/ alternative het and gen) with my FF.Net Boy Star C2.Why do I like Gundam Wing: That is a diificult question, especially as it seems I was better able to follow the political plot when I was fifteen. XP I love the male characters (not the females so much, as except for Une, they're all fairly two-dimensional to me); they're interesting and, to a hardened slash fan like myself, perfect for character rape. I'm part of the First Generation slash wave, which you occasionally hear about on the further reaches of the interbutt.
