Uri counted slowly and loudly, giving her time to hide. This was amusing. He'd watched other cheetahs, and indeed, other animals play this game before. But he'd never actually played it himself. First time for everything!
"Twenty! Here I come..." He spun around and down onto all fours. A playful snarl came after this, all the bite taken from it by the smile on his face. Uri had heard the splashes Kari had made in the shallows and the soft damp ground left a wonderful trail of clues. Uri subconciously filed away a reminder to teach her to hide better or tell whichever female she ended up with to.
Uri padded off to the right, the other side of the pond, feining ignorance.
"Now. Where could Kari be~?"

Kari squeaks in the grass, watching Uri as he goes off in the wrong direction. Unsure if it'd be better to be found sooner or later, she does her best to stay calm and still. Her tail flicks behind her, the tip of it visible from the grass, as she watches the grey cheetah with a bright smile on her face.
"Heee," she giggles inwardly, inching forward to keep an eye on him. It's only been a little more than twenty seconds into the game, and she's already having a great time- with a toothy smile, she makes note of how much fun this is.
"Oh!" she gasps suddenly, lifting her head a bit- Uri had counted out loud up to twenty! What had come before twenty? She should have been paying attention! She lowers her head when she realizes she's made noise now, covering her nose and squeezing her eyes shut.
Not a sound..
She carefully opens one eye, peeking in the direction Uri had gone.
