Sora sighed, trying to figure out how to exsplain it.
"Have you ever heard of someone who can change shape?" He finally asked.

Remembering that Leon had mentioned something like this to her; Athena nodded.
"Yes, I heard of people that can change shape. Are you saying that you can change your shape?" Athena asked wondering what the big deal was.
'So you can change your shape, big deal,' she thought to herself.

Well geez this is going well... might as well just right out an tell her boss... The kit thought to him going back to it's fish
Yea well some things are easier to accept with some people... like Eli... Sora remined it.
"Yes I can change my shape, except I'm not what some people would call a shape changer. I'm more along the lines of a werewolf.... except I change into a tiger..." He finally said, hopeing that she wouldn't just run off.

Athena sat back in the chair when Sora began to do a bit further with the details. She then glanced at the ceiling thinking.
"So...you're a were...tiger?" she asked looking down at him.

"Yea..." Sora said, looking towards the ground.
"I just thought that you had a right to know before we started traveling together... not many people like were-creatures..." He tried to exsplain.
"Well... anyways... If you don't want to travel together anymore I'll understand... We'll probably just have to catch up with Leon..." He said looking up with a slight smile.
He then got up from where he was sitting. "I'll let you think it over... and whatever you decide I hope that it doesn't effect our friendship..." He said, hopeing he hadn't just scared someone else out of his life.
Sora quietly moved towards the back room where his bed room was in the cavern.
He sat down on the bed, and leaned back thinking about Eli, and his sister. Wondering where one of them was.
I'm sure Tara is fine wherever she is... The kit thought startleing Sora slightly. It had followed him from the kitchen. It was busily cleaning it paws, and face.
"yea..." He muttered, as the kit jumped up beside him, and settled down next to him purring.

Sora sighed. He wondered quietly what Athena would decide. It was always interesting when he told people of his true nature. Sometimes nothing changed, and others... everything changed.
Sora looked to where the kit was next to him. He began to scritch it behind the ears just as it liked.
Oh that feels good............ the kit thought.
Sora smiled. Things were so much simpler sometimes when the kit was around.
Don't worry boss... Athena will make the right decision... Besides we like her cooking! It thought with a kitten smile, turning it's head to get other areas to be scritched as well.
"And what does that have anything to do with it?" Sora asked amused.
Cooks like to be praised? the kit suggested.
Sora chuckled at it.

It didn't take long for Athena to make up her mind. She got up from the chair and walked towards his bedroom. When she got there, she just looked at Sora for a while. The usually smile that was on her face wan't there.
"Sora...you say that we are friends, right? But i don't understand how we can be if you don't trust me to stay with you. It's just...it seems like you don't want me to travel with you in the first place. And if that is it, then you don't have to bother Leon, he'll just find me when he's ready. You can just take me back to the city." Athena stopped herself from saying anything more and walked out to the dinning area, ready to leave.

Sora jumped off the bed and followed her.
"Athena wait. I say we're friends because we are. And I do trust you.... it's just.... there are many people who don't like were-creatures. Many people consiter us dangerous, and rather kill us than live with us. And basically I wanted you to know now, rather then have it sprung upon you in the middle of our trip..." He said calmly watching her.

Sora walked over to the table and pulled a chair out of it, and sat down.
"Let me tell you about my family. Since we are friends..." He began, as he looked at her with full seriousness.
"My family was pretty normal. Mother... Father... younger sister. Although me and Tara never found out if we had older brothers and sisters. You know... the whole long life with were-creatures." He broke off sighing quietly.
"My mother and father were lord and lady over the land that they governed. However the people they kindly ruled over did not know what the family was. They assumed we were human like them. My parents were very careful about teaching me and Tara not to tell the other children that we could do things that they couldn't."
The kit quietly walked out of the bedroom, and rubbed up against his leg.
"Anyways... We grew up being careful. We only had one incedent where the kitchen cat suddenly began to turn into a tiger. Tara was behind that one." He said with a smile.

"Soon... Tara was about 8 or 10 or so and I was a teenager..." Sora said and slightly chuckled.
"Let's just say I did somethings that my father did not approve of... One being... I became an assassin." Sora smiled.
"I was kicked out my home. My father pretty much said I could come back when I had a change in career, and had grown up a little. So I left. It hurt a little. Me and my mother, and sister were close, but I got over it, and traveled on." He said, then stopped smiling.
"Two weeks later I felt like my heart was being torn out of my chest and I was on fire. You can't even begin to imagin the pain. Another week went by before I got news that I already knew in my heart had happened."
Sora took a deep swallow. It had been years, but it was still difficult to talk about.
"The people that my parents had loved and taken care of no matter what... They found out what we were... and they burned my parents at the stake. I thought my sister was with them. But no... they just burned her hands, to test her. Because they hoped that the demon couldn't effect a child. Ever since then I have thanked the gods that my sister was strong enough, and she was spared." He said simply.

"Now do you understand. I had to know that even though we are friends, I had to know that you would still want to travel with me. Especially since even though I wouldn't hurt you... Most would still consiter me dangerous...." Sora said quietly looking towards the floor.
He then looked right at Athena.
"Athena I want to travel with you. Your my friend and I think we would could have fun exsploring... But I also need to know that you trust me and want to travel with me..." He said simply.

Athena turned to face Sora when he called out to her. She nodded her head when he explained that he just wanted her to know the truth from him and not some else. She understood that.
When Sora brought up the subject of his family, Athena moved over to the table, leaned on it, and listen attentively to his story. As she listened it would have seemed that Athena was mimicking his emotions.
As Sora come to an end, Athena sat down at the table.
"You should have just told me all of this in the first place," she said with a sigh.
She then looked down a her finger nails and started messing with them.
" I can see why you might have some trust issues, but I don't. I can trust easily. Leon said that is a fault of mine because I need to me caution. she said with a shrug, still looking down at her nails.

"I'm sorry i did not." Sora said looking at her. "But like I said... many people would have just ran."
The kit nodded in agreement. It had seen such things before.
"And I don't know if it matters, but I trust you now, and I will tell you anything you want to know Athena." He said.
"But I would like to know something as well... and you don't have to awnser..." He looked down at the floor for a second and then back at her.
"Do you still feel the same way you did when we were in town, and in the woods?" Sora asked. Looking deeply into her eyes that he still thought as beautiful.

Athena looked up at Sora when he began to speak.
"No I don't feel the same way..." she began.
"Now that I know you really do trust me, I feel like," she pause as she looked up at the ceiling, "we are closer, than before." she finished, looking down at him.
"Do you understand, what I am trying to say?"
