Pi lets him go and does a handless cartwheel over the sweep. "Of course I wouldn't." She lands on her feet, facing him, and is ready for the next engagement.

His eyes shoot open, and instinctivly, Demetri's hand shoots for his sheath. Grabbing nothing but air, he quickly sits up, quicly becoming lightheaded. Confused, he begins to watch Pi and Chase fight, awed by the display.

"Not bad. I was to understand your martial skills to be lacking." Chase raised his hands again, palms forward, and bent at the knees. Shifting forward carefully, he lashed out open handed strikes that came rapidly. His left hand came across, attacking her right arm while his right hand struck from below, swinging upward toward Pi's jaw.

"It's just been a long time..." Pi accepts the hit to her right arm, then ducks back to try to dodge the blow to her chin, but she is not quite quick enough. Since she is moving with the hit, the impact is lessened, but it is still enough to send her to her back, since her opponent is beyond her even though he holds back. There is only a small grunt that escapes Pi when she lands. Taking about two seconds to assess any damage, she sits up. "Hmm. *spits a little blood to the side* Ouch." She gets back to her feet and relaxes her body to a ready position.

Standing up, Demetri looks around for his blades. Spotting them, he steps down from the arena and walks around it, picking up his blades and resheathing them. Stretching, he sends Pi a mental 'Thank you.'

Nunia flies in as a red hawk and lands on Demetri's shoulder, careful not to scratch him. [What's going on? Why's Pi fighting the old man?]
((by old man I mean that he's like forever older than we are, not that he looks it..))

Nunia drops to the ground and changes into her humanoid form. She grins and pats Demetri's head. 'It'll be ok,' she lied.
