Midori glanced at the man's hand, still a bit worried, but took up his offer. She grinned shyly, " Well, I guess I should introduce myself since I now know that you all aren't going to hurt me."
She dusted her skirt some more, stood up straight, or as straight as her injured leg would let her.
"My name is Midori Rinnu, and you all are?"

"Tarro," Tarro said again and smilied. "It's nice to meet you Midori Rinnu of the A-Moo-I-Kas."
Tarro looked at Midori's skirt and made a small frown of disgust. "Do all the girl from A-Moo-I-Kas, have to wear skirts, if so, I would never want to visit there."
With that being said, Tarro looked at Hikitsi as he offered his hand to Midori, "I don't know where the doctor is located in the town," Tarro said and shrugged. Looking back at Midori, Tarro noticed that she was standing a bit funny. "Does it hurt a lot?" Tarro said and pointed to her leg. "Maybe we can carry you or find a way to badage it until we get to the doctor's."

'Uh....' Midori thought, 'Amooakas? ...... Oh, she probably thinks I from America...'
"No, I'm not from America, I'm from Japan." Midori glanced at her skirt, "I only wear this because it is my school's uniform. I normally wear pants and a T-shirt. It doesn't hurt too much, I don't have to get it treated immediately."
She sat on the ground, not due to her leg, but because of this new place. It was too much for Midori to take in.

Hikitsu sat down next to her and opened his pack, pulling out his waterskin, a bun and some dried fish. "Here, just take it slow, some food and water might help you feel better. You don't have to rush." He smiled softly and handed her the food. He had this overwhelming need to help and protect her, almost like his little sister. "Just take it easy, we can sit here awhile."

She eyed the food that was placed in her hands.
"Uh... Thank you."
Midori started to nibble on the bun, saving the fish for later.
"So... Um... What was your name again?" she asked, turning to the man with silver hair.

He smiled, his aqua eyes glittered, "You can call me Hikitsu." He smiled and scratched the back of his neck, "Well I'd like you to call me that anyway." He chuckled a bit. "I'll try to answer any questions you have, if I know the answer that is."

''Hikitsu," she mumbled as she ate the bun a little more faster now. Midori turned to him.
"I like your name. It sounds funny, though. Why did your mother name you that? When I was in that dreadful marketplace, I heard everyone calling out names and none of them sounded like yours. They sounded more like Tarro's." She finished her bun and then started on the dried fish.

"The name my mother gave me was Meng. Hikitsu is the name of a constellation actually. That has to do with what we were trying to explain earlier. See, Hokkan is protected by a special deity, Genbu. He is the guardian of the Northern constellations of Tomite, Uruki, Namame, Hatsui, Hikitsu, Inami, Umiyame. So my other name is Hikitsu, the dipper." He moved his hand, causing a small gust of wind, then showed her the symbol on his arm, "See it's Hikitsu, and I can control and manipulate air."

Chills ran down Tarro's spine as Hikitsu mentioned the constellaion 'Namame'. "The woman..." Tarro thought, "No, that's not right. I'm getting my constellations mixed up again..."
Tarro looked over at Midori and chuckled. "More than likrly you didn't just hear names that sound like 'Tarro'. It probrably was 'Tarro'. My brothers have been trying to find me all afternoon." Tarro smilied to herself and looked back into the sky where clouds were forming shapes. Her eyes wondered over to the sun that was starting to make it's journey to the horizon.
"Drat!" Tarro said as she studied the sun, "I'm going to be late."
Tarro pouted as she turned to face the two of them.
"It's getting late and I have to run through the show at leaste one with my brothers before the performance tonight."
Tarro bowed to Hikitsu and then to Midori.
"I hate to leave after just meeting you, but maybe we can see eachother after the show tonight. Oh! And here," Tarro said and reached into her pocket to grab a show ticket, "It's my last one, so take care of it. I'll really be special tonight and I'm sure you've never been to something like this before."
Tarro leaned close to the Midori and whispered, "I think even the emperor of Hokkan himself will be there."
"Well, I'm off!" Tarro said and ran off down the path.
"I'll be seeing you to, as well, right Hikitsu?" she yelled back before disapearing down the path.
((Sorry to leave so suddenly but I might not be back on for a couple of weeks and I didn't want to slow down the story. Hopefully I'll be back sooner rather than later. Bye.))

"Well, it looks like we can go to a show later, doesn't it." He smiled and looked to the girl. "Midori, I have a room at an inn nearby. I have a bit of coin, I can get another one for you if you wish to relax a bit and get some attention for your leg. I wouldn't want you to get hurt worse."

"Bye-bye, Miss Tarro!" Midori shouted as she waved goob-bye. She glanced down at the ticket Tarro left them.
'I wonder what kind of show it'll be!' she thought, excited. 'But... Why did Miss Tarro whisper that the Emperor of Ho-Ho.... Whatever land this is might be there? It's not like I really care...' Hikitsu's voice broke her train of thoughts and brought her back. Midori then turned to Hikitsu and said, " Really? Thanks! My leg doesn't hurt that much, but maybe that inn has a phone, and a phone means that I might be able to call my parents to som and get me!" Midori then stood up, now only barely limping, and looked around.
"So, Hikitsu, where's this inn you speak of?"

Hikitsu frowned a bit and pointed west. "Not too far from here," He didn't have much money, being a goat farmer, but he had his personal purse that was apart from the money he needed to bring his family... which he knew he had to do soon. "I don't think they will have a fo... fa..." he tried to remember the word but wouldn't and just shook his head, "Whatever that thing you are looking for. As for your parents coming to get you, maybe you can hire a messanger to go to your village? Or I can escort you, but I have to go to see my mother and sister before I take on a journey." He started to walk in the direction of the inn. He took his outer robe off and handed it to her. "You kinda stick out in that short... garment. You might want to cover yourself for right now with this."

She knew that frown, it was a frown saying 'I don't have much money, but I'm too nice.' Midori always had that frown on whenever she was out at the mall with her friends. She always ended up buying at least the food. She took the robe Hikitsu had given her and slipped it on. It felt warm, probably from his body warmth.
As Midori walked with Hikitsu toward the inn, she asked, "Hey, Hikitsu, where can I find some work? I don't know how long I'll be here, so I'll need money. And I can't let you pay for everything, I simply won't allow that!"

He smiled, "I think I have the perfect job for you, and it will probably be supported by the nobility, so I wouldn't worry too much. Come on, let's get you a room, or you can stay in my room and I can stay out in the common area. We'll see what's open, alright?" He smiled and lead her to the Inn. He went to the cleric and started talking to him, then sighed and came back. "There is no extra room. I'll take you to my room and you can rest there. I'll figure something out for myself." He smiled a bit an lead her to the room.

Midori perked up, curiousity obviously showing in her eyes.
"What? What kind of-?" she stopped mid-sentence. She looked around the room, it had an ancient China feeling. It was fine with Midori, she liked that kind of stuff. She strolled around the room, it wasn't big, but not that small. After a few more steps of observing the room, she then remembered she was asking Hikitsu something.
"Oh, sorry. So, what kind of job? Well! Tell me!"
