A little close, but he couls make due. Hitting the ropes opposite of where Mason was, Ares got a full head of steam. Diving through the middle rope looking to bulldoze his opponent down with a suicide dive.

Mason had no time to breathe as as suddenly as he rose to his feet he felt the body of Ares come crashing into him like a freight train. The body of his opponent knocked him backwards slamming him into the barricade!
The world was a blur to Mason his mind and body reeling from the abuse it had been through. His blood pumping hard through his veins as he tried to rally himself together he knew if he took anymore like this he'd never be KOTC.

Unlike Mason who got slammed into the barricade, Ares would bounce off the big man and drop to the padding. Luckily he didn't take much damage from the throw, but it would leave him stumbling around on the floor for a minute before he got to the steel steps and forced himself back to his feet. High risk, high reward!

Mason wobbled before finally getting his bearings. The confusion fading giving way to anger and hatred towards Ares for embarrassing him on such a big night.
He cracked his neck eyeing Ares as he rose to his feet. He waited patiently for Ares to turn around before attempting to spear him into the apron

Despite the heavy assault of dropkick and the nasty suicide dive, Mason would only have been stunned for a moment. And by the time the next moment was happening, he was already on the move. Ramming his shoulder into the gut of Ares who lean over the back of Mason, holding his stomach which was just impaled.

Mason quickly looked to throw and elbow to the spine of Ares before trying to pick him up for an air raid siren to the outside!

The strike would hit, putting a sink on the sails of Ares deeper than before. But Mason wasn't done, lifting the man up he prepared to deliver a devastating maneuver. The only thing Ares could do is grab and cling on to the ropes to try and delay the efforts of the big man.

Mason was impressed with his opponents will to survive hanging on with all his might. He marveled at Ares strength as he held firm his fighting spirit flowing off of him like a Dragonball z episode no real visual but damn could Mason feel it.
The time for admiration was fleeting as Mason switched to a bear hug in an attempt to force his opponent free

Adapting to the situation, Mason opted to crushing the ribs and abdomen of Ares. The official would begin to warn the man to let go, so Ares just had to hold on long enough for the official to force him off. Gritting his teeth, he would hold on for dear life.

Mason would use the whole count holding on till the last minute before stepping back putting his hands back before throwing a disrespectful slap to Ares.

Well it went from a nice competitive match, to a bit of disrespect being shown by Mason with the slap. Ares got his footing only to get blasted in the face by the disrespectful slap, causing him to fall and sit on the steps. Holding his jaw.

The rider was a bad man an he had no problems showing it tonight he made his statement to the world. He felt slighted by Ares his skill and talent had almost cost him his shot at gold.
Mason would quickly roll back into the ring breaking the count before rolling back outside to continue his assault by attempting a right left combo the sore jaw of Ares.

It seemed like Mason was on his way to get back inside the ring, but he would be back on the outside shortly after going in, stopping the count of the official to keep the match going. Ares began to get up, but would begin to get struck, a right and then a left. Each one digging deep and almost knocking Ares down. But the smaller man ate the strikes, just stumbling back and away closer to the barricade.

Mason saw his opportunity to take Ares out for good. He stepped back sizing up his target before charging full speed towards Ares trying to shoulder tackle him into the barricade!

Alexander may have been softened up a bit by the relentless strikes that he had taken within a a short period of time. But he was well known for his grit and toughness, and that would be what was able to push him to move out of the way right before he got smashed through the barricade.
