Wah! I had to read the whole thread through before typing..... My eyes....
Anyway, I completely agree with the paint theory. It fits because, like it's been shown, he doesn't wear it at school. And besides, - distracting self from the controversy that is the actual DRAWINGS - it's sexier.
Tats are cool, but there's a line drawn somewhere. I mean, on the face? Even on Kai, it would be terrible! If Kai just happened to have a tattoo on his, oh, say, arm - that's cool.
And can't all of us crazed fans just see him stepping out of the shower in the morning, just finished drying his hair? Stepping into a pair of briefs and jeans, then pulling on a shirt. He'd pick up a brush and small pot of that special face paint of his and begin to trace the outlines of the fins. Next, he'd start coloring in the centers. All the while, focused on the dresser mirrow with that rare relaxed look on his face. Afterwards, he'd go out onto the balcony or look out a window, just to dry the paint faster. Then, imagine yourself as the young girl/guy walking down the street below and catching sight of him looking so...... Kai.
Isn't that better than the whole 'I have tattoos and need concealer every schoolday' bit?
