Geokinesis - Hasan can manipulate stone and earth at will, and is in fact capable of performing great feats with this ability. However, he is unable to control finer facets of earth, such as sand. Overuse of this power causes muscle fatigue, but luckily he has a high threshold after years and years of training.
Crystallokinesis - The manipulation of gemstone and crystal. This is a newer sort of subset of Hasan's geokinesis, and one that requires much more precision and delicacy than he is used to. Thus far he can only manipulate crystal on a very small scale.
Personality ↡
In general, Hasan is an easygoing, friendly, and charismatic young man. He has no trouble making friends, though keeping them is not always his strong suit. When it comes to social situations, he always tries to keep the vibes positive. But underneath all that, he has a soul as hard as rock, and the stubbornness to match it. He has no reservations about doing what needs to be done, no matter the situation, and even when that means being the bad guy. He is riddled by guilt and shame over the actions of his youth, and the only outlet for those emotions he is comfortable with is violence. As such, he felt perfectly at home during the war, where he could unleash his frustrations on the battlefield - and has struggled with readjusting during this new era of peace. Unfortunately that means he's falling back into self-destructive habits.
Political Opinion ↠ Hasan supports any kingdoms that allied with Thah during the war, and hates those who were Thah's enemies. However, he is mature enough to understand that not everyone from an enemy kingdom is to blame, so he does his best to keep an open mind during this newfound era of peace. Such grace does not extend to anyone who was to blame, of course.
Biography ↡
To be a blight upon a royal family is not an easy thing to live with, and Hasan has carried that burden for many years. He was the firstborn of his family, and should have been the one to eventually rule the kingdom of Thah - but even during his childhood, his parents had an inkling that he would never measure up to the expectations of a future ruler. He struggled with his studies as a child, never able to sit still long enough for a lesson to be fruitful. Books bored him to tears, and he much preferred to play or learn to fight. His parents tried their best, but as Hasan grew, he stopped listening to them - and his rebellious streak would only get worse. By the time he was a teenager, there was little anyone could do to stop him. He was reckless, impulsive, oftentimes disappearing from the castle for days without a word. In his mind, he had to get all of his fun in before he became an adult and was forced to live a miserable life of politics. The influence of the friends he'd made did not help.
Of course, all of that came to a crashing halt when Hasan found out his lack of caution had serious consequences. A girl he'd slept with some time before approached the king and queen with a newborn, claiming Hasan was the father. To have produced an illegitimate heir before he was even twenty was the final straw. Hasan's parents paid the girl off and voluntold her to move far, far away to keep this dirty secret from going public. Hasan was made to suffer the same fate, and was all but disowned by his mother and father. He was cast out of the capital, and only by the grace of his uncle did he have somewhere to go.
After that, Hasan's life took a 180. Instead of partying and slacking off and having fun, he was suddenly thrust into the thick of battle, fighting on the front lines of the war. Once he got over the initial shock of the violence, however, he began to thrive. Whatever emotions he took into battle, he could leave them there. The anger, humiliation, shame - all of it sweated out as he pushed his body to the limit, over and over again. As time passed, he developed a new sense of clarity. He couldn't take back what he had done, nor did he have any interest in begging his family for forgiveness. But what he could do was this - the dirty work, the dangerous s**t. It was his way of earning redemption, and it was his way of keeping his sisters safe.
And yet, that wasn't enough. When he caught word that his parents had sent Amena out to the battlefield, he was furious beyond words. For the first time since his exile, he returned home, much bigger and stronger than when he had left. Tensions between him and his parents only worsened - as did his guilt. He saw finally what trouble his actions had caused for his little sisters, and he swore he'd continue to do whatever he needed to for their sake. He began to return to the capital more frequently, always for them, and bit by bit he attempted to repair their relationship.
He could have gone on like that for a long time. But the war ended, and Hasan was now faced with the question of what he was supposed to do next. The thought terrified him. With nothing left to work toward, he instead focused the bulk of his attention upon Amena and Nadia, whether they liked it or not. He could be the unforgiving earth beneath their feet, so that they were free to grow.
And when they left for Utopia Academy, he followed.

Nadia is very kind and reliable. Tends to take things too seriously and doesn't always understand things like sarcasm. Nadia is loyal to those close to her but weary of letting outsiders in. She tries to be outgoing like her sister but feels out of place. She likes to be praised for her achievements and tries to find ways to stand out in her own way.
Political Opinion ↠ Nadia thinks the whole war was a fearmongering grab for power. Thah never stood a chance but was proud of her parents for not backing down. They managed to make some good alliances along the way but she won't forgive Winduria for taking her sister for such a long time. The castle maids used to try and scare her when she was small with tales of villains from Shahiti and Siscia.

Nadia grew up the youngest girl out of her parents but always felt old for her age. She would always follow the house staff around asking them questions about how things worked and would offer to do chores in exchange for information. When her parents found out they were confused but not upset, well at her anyway, they told her she needed to act more like a princess and remain in the castle unless instructed to do otherwise.
Nadia would watch as her sister, Amena, would attempt to sneak out to play with the bugs and dirt outside but Nadia never understood the urge. She talked to her sister about it but couldn't grasp it. There were plenty of plants and nature inside that needed their love. "Her love" managed to make multiple gardeners quit over the years as she would make her babies grow for them to reach her. She also liked to conduct experiments to see how far away she could use her powers, something many maids complained about as they tripped over suddenly appearing vines in the living quarters.
When her sister left to join the war front, Nadia was disappointed and crestfallen. One of her only companions had abandoned her. She understood her reasons but feared about her never returning. During this time Nadia started to dive deep into researching history. She thought the more she knew about the world outside of Thah the more life might make sense. Boy was she wrong! Wars were sparking left and right with no rhyme or reason.
Nadia found that Thah's greatest strength came from their ability to provide to other kingdoms. With her power alone she was able to help grow gardens to create food for an entire army. This proved helpful in creating alliances with other kingdoms, and trading safety and peace for food and supplies. Nadia felt like the whole purpose of the war was destruction and nothing good would come from it. She prayed her sister would return home and that reason would eventually find its way to all the nations and it did. Sort of. A school for the royals to attend and play peacefully. For now. She would soon accompany her sister in this attempt at harmony and hope.

Lava Flow - He is able to form figures with the lava that comes from his hands, hardening into solid Igneous rocks. The fire in him makes it so he is able to keep the lava hot for extended periods of time, but if his concentration is broken it is quite easy to harden his creations. Once they're hardened however, it takes quite a bit of strength to break them, as they are very sturdy. He is also able to move these figures, able to create up to two durable and loyal fighters if needed.

Right off the bat Nox may seem like a snobby, Narcissistic and Vain man. While he does value his appearance, maintaining face and keeping his looks in alignment with his beliefs; that is not all that makes him. He is a very proud man, who honors his heritage and family, placing those he cares about above all else. He has a fierce and protective streak for those around him who he deems worth protecting and while he doesn't enjoy fighting, he will do it. He isn't a playboy, per say, but it doesn't take much flirting to convince him to join someone. In return he will also flirt, and tease those he finds fun to get reactions out of. He enjoys playing tricks but will never risk his face, both literally and metaphorically, to play a joke on someone.
Political Opinion ↠ For the most part he is neutral, except to those from Funkazan. He has a deep seeded grudge due to what happened with his mother that has extended to everyone he met who was from the fire kingdom. Despite having such powers of his own, he prides himself on his appearance and maintaining his loyalty to Thah above all else.
Biography ↡
Despite being born and raised in Thah, Nox has always been a little more spirited than others. His mother was a Thah noble, and when she was travelling one day she found herself approached by Funkazan soldiers, and one of them ended up sleeping with her. They fought, and he attempted to make her give up said child but before he had the full chance they were called off and he never returned. His mother assumes he died. When Nox was born he resembled his mother, but the older he got the more it showed in his powers that he did in fact have the blood of fire running through him. He would accidentally start fires when he got into fights with other kids, and his mother quickly realized she'd have to train him to use these powers despite what bad memories came with them. Lucky for her, she raised him to be a good man and when he turned 18 he got traditional Thah tattoo's across his entire body, permanently marking himself as only a citizen of his one true home. This wasn't able to stop his powers from continuing to manifest so when he was called to war he found ways to use them to his advantage. Now with the war over, he had returned home to find his mother having created a new family and was recently married. He is excited to be an older brother to his new little sister; and when presented with the chance to go to the academy he took the offer with open arms, wanting to pave a way for his now one year old sister to have a good life.

An incredibly serious person, with a wicked sense of humor. Despite her serious nature, she doesn't care for formalities and show. She has a deep curiosity for the world around her. Fio has a fierce motherly instinct and wants to protect anyone she cares about, regardless of the harm it could potentially do to her. She knows little fear, though the fears she does hold rock her deep to her core. Incredibly pious, with an extremely personal relationship to her Goddess.
Political Opinion ↠ Her deepest grudges are against Winduria, as she personally fought against them in the war. The people of time wield far more power than anyone, in her opinion, should ever be allowed. She is indifferent to the people of Musique and has a deep respect for the resilience of the people of Hyouden for maintaining a connection to such a harsh element.

For Ampelio Affini, life in the military had not been to gain rank. He believed in protecting the people of Thah and the goddess oh his people, Isixochitil, with everything he was. It just so happened that he was good at his job. Despite being born of simple means, he worked his way up through the ranks. From Private to Specialist to Master Sergeant to Second Lieutenant to Major General. His impressive flight up the ranks gained him notice from the higher ups. Eventually he was working with a small group directly under orders from the king. He was the only one within the group that was there based on talent alone. The others had made their ways through the ranks based on some talent, but were of noble birth and given high positions from the start. Deciding to rectify this, the king arranged for his marriage. It took some time for the ideal partner to be found. Finally, a maiden was selected and wedding bells swept through the noble quarters. Ampelio finally an official part of the Thah Elite.
Lady Diana came from one of the lesser noble households, yet her birth was still much higher than Ampelio’s. Her family was not quite pleased with the decision to have a nobody forced upon them, though the addition to their family being chosen directly by the king gave them a strong sense of pride. Ampelio was quite a bit older than Diana, having put off his personal needs for the war effort. And so the couple entered into a loveless marriage. Despite his rank and line of work, Sir Affini was kind to his new wife. It was not long before she bore him their first son. They would have five more before little Fiorella entered into their lives. By this point they had entered into an easy friendship, and both Diana and Ampelio considered that far better than a turbulent love.
From a young age Diana tried to mold their only daughter into the perfect court lady. She was taught to arrange flowers, proper manners, and was often swept away from their dusty village that bordered the rainforest to attend extravagant garden parties in the capitol. Those were the worst. Being cooped up for days in her maternal grandparent's villa having impractical dresses fitted to her only for it all to end in being paraded around like a rabbit to a group of foxes. Fiorella much preferred spending her days in their village, playing hide and seek among the trees and having mock battles with her brothers. The villagers were much nicer than the noble children.
As she got older, it became clear to Diana that Fiorella would not become the model child that she wanted. This became all the more evident when Firoella found her powers. Following the tradition of her father's people, she undertook the trials at the age of ten to determine if she was a therianthrope. They were a special sort whose powers were ones that the village revered. When it was found that she had the ability to become any animal as long as she was wearing it's skin, it was cause for celebration in their village. She was taken in for specialized training, using her powers to transform into animals and assist with anything that the village needed. Much like her father she formed a deep rooted love of her people and their lifestyle. She would do anything to protect it. Which was why it wouldn't be long before she entered the war.
The frontlines were too much for a child, but her father couldn't argue with her when she pointed out that her power would help him. No one would blink twice at a baby deer munching on grass nearby as they explained their strategies. And so she started spying as young as thirteen. She slowly proved her worth, going from holding mock battles with her brothers to being taught self defense and how to use her power to fight. Years passed with her using her abilities to spy during the day and passing the night at camp with the men and women in her father's army. More often than not they were around Langalibebe's camps on the boarder offering assistance as needed to hunt done those that escaped past the boarders. Which was how she met Hasan when she was fifteen. The Thah prince wasn't what she expected. He was easy going and charming. The more time they were forced to spend together as the only people around the same age, the deeper her crush became.
It didn't take long for him to really charm her, and she discovered she was pregnant just after her 16th birthday. Nearly at the same time, her father realized she was pregnant and sent her back home to their village when she wouldn't tell him through the father was. It was a secret she was determined to take to her grave. Both of her parents were outraged. Diana didn't want Fiorella to have a shameful, fatherless baby. Ampelio wanted to know who had taken his youngest and only daughter's innocence so young. When she returned back home Diana attempted to convince her to terminate the pregnancy. But her headstrong daughter insisted she would be having it, and gave birth to her daughter Aithne shortly before her seventeenth birthday. Fiorella's relationship with her mother deteriorated from this point.
She took two years off from the war to give birth and raise her daughter for the first year, before going back to the war more determined than before to protect her precious new treasure. What she didn't expect was to see Hasan so soon upon her return to the battlefields. Part of her knew she needed to tell him, but anxiety prevented her from being able to mention it. She'd heard the rumors of why he was here, what if he thought she was trying to trap him the same way? But more importantly, was he able to be the father Aithne needed? Days of not telling him slowly morphed into years. Then the war ended.
After the war ended and Fiorella was called to perform her duty as a duchess at Utopia, she left a 6 year old Aithne with her parents to come to the school.

Spider Physiology - Akwasi has the proportional physical capabilities of a spider, and thus has enhanced strength, dexterity, reflexes, and a sensitivity to vibrations. He also has sharper teeth, but he isn't venomous.
Spider Silk Manipulation - Akwasi has spinnerets on his hands and feet, allowing him to produce spider silk that he can manipulate into webs or rope or to catch the air to glide with, or use to crawl over flat surfaces. He can vary the thickness and adhesiveness of the silk according to what he intends to do with it, and must handle it more carefully the stickier it is, lest it stick to him. He’s also fond of making textiles with it.
Personality ↡
The social, playful type. Enjoys speaking to people regardless of their class or social status, and is good at hiding his dislike of certain types. He puts negativity aside as something to only express in private, and maintains a cheerful public face, rarely ever frowning unless the situation is severe. He finds it funny to play jokes and trick people, telling casual, obvious lies with a straight veneer just to see the looks on their faces. He likes to take others under wing if they strike him as helpless enough to require a big brother type looking over their shoulder, and is lowkey very protective of those who have gained his loyalty.
Political Opinion ↠ His strongest negative feelings are toward the Windurians, the ones he faced the most often in battle. There is a contradiction in his heart; he holds a measure of respect for their prowess, but there is also a visceral hatred for them, and a deep pleasure in the prospect of seeing them struggling in his web, prey to sink his teeth into.
There is also some measure of fear for the people of Funkazan, and their land scorching tactics. Fire is certainly one of the most dangerous elements to have to face, and he will consider himself especially blessed if he never has to find out what it’s like for himself.

In Thah, it is known that the Ananse clan is blessed by a spider deity, one that prizes not just strength, but wisdom and cleverness, too. The most prominent members of the clan tend to embody these traits, with tales of generations of Ananse loyally serving their clan and country either through blood or speech. It was these tales that Akwasi and his many siblings and cousins grew up on, instilled from a young age with a yearning to one day be spoken of with the same admiration as their ancestors. To fulfill these desires, they were expected to pass through trials at important developmental milestones, ones that tested them body and mind, and if they failed, they were granted roles within the clan that were smaller, but no less important.
The adults in his life assured Akwasi that there was nothing shameful in finding the place you fit best, but he was determined to fit with the best. Only the most worthy within the clan were recognized as ancestors in death, and he wanted his name to live on in the mouths of his descendants long after he was gone. With war ever present on their borders, watching his uncles, aunties, older siblings and cousins leave for the front in order to perform their duty, he only grew more determined to join them through whatever means he could. He studied hard for the trials of the mind, practiced recklessly for the trials of the body, and endured the trials of pain. Under the encouragement of his elders, he also helped his peers where he could, for this was not a competition between rivals, but efforts to elevate and integrate the next generation. The more who did well, the more their clan would prosper, for war was not kind, and they needed every body they could keep.
While the blessing of the spider god was spread equally among the clan, it was up to the individual how well they utilized its gift, and Akwasi grew to learn how to use his silk as well as any weaver or trapper within the clan. It was due to this that when he gained his adult scars and was allowed to finally participate in the war, he was assigned to fight against Winduria’s forces. Many of their enemies could fly in the air, out of the reach of warriors who had a closer relationship to the earth, but Akwasi and his peers were able to weave elaborate traps to catch them like so many flies in a web. Of course, this was only the first step to taking out their enemy, and Akwasi had to be the better, luckier fighter to avoid death. Many of his peers were not so lucky, and his own hearing suffered from one too many close calls. He still breathed, though, so he considered himself exceedingly lucky, perhaps even favored by the gods.
Out on the battlefield, traveling from place to place to combat invaders and press out of Thah territory himself, there was plenty of downtime for Akwasi to learn of and utilize the clan’s lesser known trade: information gathering. Many of his cousins who had failed their trials to become warriors had become spies and informants instead, spreading not just across Thah but infiltrating many other countries to provide important intel that saved Thah lives. Akwasi participated where he could, using his natural social skills and charm to talk people around to inadvertently giving themselves away. As it turned out, people like to talk, he just had to learn how to listen.
The war’s end was abrupt and unexpected, and he returned home to find the clan diminished, but still kicking. He had lost many siblings and cousins over the years, people he had grown up with and would never see again, and now with reconstruction on everyone’s minds, he was expected to wed the woman he had been engaged to since he was a child in order to propagate the next generation. That expectation was cut short when he received the invitation to Utopia; as the eldest surviving son, he was the one who had to go, not just to represent clan and country, but to gather information and even potentially gain a political match. He understood well his duty, and set his original path aside for a new one.

A number of the trials Akwasi went through growing up involved body modification in the form of scarification; the ones immediately apparent are on his face, gained when he reached adulthood to indicate he was of age within the clan. He has lined scars on his chest to represent that he is a blooded warrior, more raised dots on his arms to show what clan he belongs to, and yet more patterns on his back to increase his desirability and show off how much pain he can endure. The rest of his scars were gained in combat, either during the war, or after in displays of strength and skill against his peers.
His tattoos are more expressions of his clan identity, his lineage, and his position as his father's heir.
Akwasi is hard of hearing due to his encounters with Windurians and their ability to use air pressure against him, resulting in ruptured eardrums on more than one occasion. He can compensate by reading lips, but it's made harder if it's very loud and someone has an accent he's unfamiliar with. He knows Thah's hand language, and is still in the process of learning what's known as the merchant's signs, the hand language used for international communication. He'll play up how good or bad his hearing actually is depending on the context, how he's feeling, and who he's speaking to.
