Comments: 04/21/25 edit: This probably could use more work, but.. I think I'm done with it. I fixed the leg. When I was coloring the first time, I always knew the shape of the leg... I just wasn't paying attention to the colors that I gave the fur, so it made it a lot skinnier. XD; I finally added claws. I had time left so I opened the ref and started scrutinizing. I knew I hadn't made a perfect face and was okay with that... but decided to change the face to fill time. Glad I did.

Comments: I didn't have much time; coloring existing art felt faster than coming up with an idea to draw. I usually like to mull over ideas during the day before I draw, but hadn't.
Just added in some rough colors for the background. If/when I continue, I plan to tighten it up in spots. I haven't added shading/lighting yet, but couldn't resist adding some to the clouds. I say this often, but I was surprised that this filled 19 mins. It doesn't look like that much effort to me but I guess I do have a lot of bits I colored over and covered
I find it amusing that the monster is like a see-through ghost. I might repeat this concept in the future, but with a monster of my own so that I can make it ghostly

Comments: 04/21/25 edit: I feel like this has been a rough event so far. XD Halfway through and I dislike the majority of what I've posted so far. Yikes. It also feels vulnerable to have these days where I have to post art I dislike. XD; Buuut oh well (that's how these events go). It's still been a win overall. Leading up into this event, I had the strangest art block. Akin to "the yips" in baseball. It lasted like half a year. I didn't just lack ideas... I felt like I forgot how to draw. I tried to draw; I just couldn't. I lacked both ideas and ability. Soooo I consider the fact that I even made a few pieces that I like to be a major win.
I was gonna use this event to try to pull out of the art block... but the weird feeling happened to lift itself a few weeks before event start. I'm glad to be drawing again, but feel rusty and also like I'm rediscovering how I draw. It's been weird. It's been good though. It's nice to have drawing back
.... I'm not using this as an excuse for this dog art. XD; I'm plenty capable of drawing crap all the time. B]
For this art, I drew from two different refs to piece this together. The refs were taken from different angles and sizes.. and different dogs... It really wasn't enough refs to pull this off because I have no idea what length the dog should be. XD; But I didn't care about this piece enough to go find and study more photos

Comments: The emoji is purposely silly. This is it; there's nothing to refine. I filled the rest of the time minimum by drawing a quick pokemon swan (Swanna)
I lined over my sketch so the "quick" swan ended up meeting the time min on its own. XD;
I prefer pokemon designs that are basically animals. I love that this is just a bird in some Swan-Lake-Ish costume

Comments: I'm at the point of the event where I don't enjoy drawing. That's counterproductive.
I'm thinking of using some SPs soon to reset. I'm here to enjoy drawing (and see others' drawings) and not make it a chore
... But I saw the SC coming up tomorrow and want to participate. Bad timing, gonna delay my break. XD I feel so conflicted because I have a lot of ideas for the SC but really really don't feel like drawing.

I tried to find a good ref but reluctantly just used one of the first images in the google search. It was hard to find good refs with sooo many results being AI images

Comments: Main takeaway: He's a turtle man (tortle race) and a druid. He's a spellcaster (and eventual shapeshifter level 2+).
Yeah he's got a shell, but he's still allowed to carry a shield. XD
I had the character done after around 30 mins and then spent like another half hour just writing crap that doesn't matter. For the ambiance. XD; So stupid.
I've only got a rudimentary working knowledge of DND. Because he lives in the DND world, he'd cap out at level 20... if lucky. XD;
