"Hm" The Prince almost smiled, but once again he became neutral, "I'm beyond caring". He then allowed her some time to go and wrap her hand, as many of her predecessors have done before her, then watched as she walked back into the room. When she asked him what he knew, he vanished, then spoke again from near the window, where he had materialised without her noticing. "Little more than you, unfortunately. But I do know that you were right about the undead and their disease being arcane in nature. The rest is up to you to find out. I've merely given you a means of obtaining that information yourself. What will you do? Go to Necrovalley and interrogate every necromancer there? Or will you sneak into Declasia's royal library? It was once mine, you know. However I'm not certain she has kept any of my collection. Or... should you face your friends and tell them of our contract? So quickly do the bonds we make twist and writhe with the thread of lies. Tsuna Miki

When she interrogated him he vanished for a second fueling her anger only to reappear next to the window. He then divulged that he knew no more than her, but could confirm that the virus was arcane and not necromancer. She nodded in disbelief, of course he wouldn't know anything beyond her knowledge because why would he? He gave her a verity of options, none of which sounded good, and even lamented about the library once being his although it's contents may have changed under a new ruler. Facing her companions wasn't an option right, especially after her fiasco this morning. The more he talked the most aggressive she became until she eventually picked up a black porcelain harrowsteed on the dressing table and chucked it at him. It went right through his ghostly form shattering the window behind him. "GET OUT OF HERE YOU INSPIDID CROW!" She shouted furiously until she heard footsteps coming towards her bedroom. "********." She cursed under her breath and decided to take the exit she had just created. Jumping down from the second story was nothing knew to her and she was able to land on her feet crunching the glass scattered on the ground underneath her shoes. If they did shout at her she completely blocked them out and took off.

She didn't even know where she was going, but somehow ended up near the stables. Unfortunately, none of the horses took a liking to her now that she was marked and began making racket probably alerting some guards. Tsuna had no other option that to keep running. She transformed to gain more moment and headed out to the field that held the infected harrowsteeds from yesterday. She didn't want to give that jerk the satisfaction of picking one of the options he laid out for her, although she would end up on one of those paths eventually. About an hour or so later, she made it to the site and changed out of Therian form breathing heavily from all the running she did. The grass field with the roaming harrowsteed, despite their corpse appearances was so calm. You could have never guessed that there was a battle here yesterday. Tsuna found a soft, green spot and plotted down staring out over the field as a gentle breeze brushed past her. Absentmindedly, she fumbled through her pockets finding the carton of cigarettes and opened it grabbing for one that was filled with the hallucination leaves. She also grabbed the old lighter she had been carrying to light it up. She had never really smoked, just enough for activate the special cigarettes in battle, but these ordinary ones always seemed to calm Ivan down. She stuck the stick between her lips and began to inhale and exhale the smoke like Ivan feeling instantly calmer. Maybe it wasn't such a bad habit after all.

As for Claudia, she was walking with Nyru down one of the corridors when she felt a very familiar chill up her spine. She instinctively looked down at her hand as if something would be there. She looked at Nyru mortified and shuttered, "You don't think..." She stopped wondering what he would answer with.

Tsuna Miki

"You'll see that i'm doing you a service... in time" the Prince of Crow's voice said as he vanished from existence, allowing Tsuna to finally be alone. But this respite was only for a few moments as her teammates began to stir, hearing the shattering of glass from her room.

Lottie was first to open the door to Tsuna's room, rushing in to find that no one was here. Lottie swept her eyes left to right, then back again as Micha'el tumbled in behind. She heard him mutter something under his breath as he began to summon up the Aria. She looked at the window, running over to it she leaned out hoping to find some trace of Tsuna. But as she stared out at the ground of garden below she saw nothing. "I suppose i'll be tracking her down again" Micha'el said, but Lottie turned around to stop him. "No" she said softly, "perhaps we should give her time..." This apparently surprised Micha'el, who stumbled on his words for a moment as rationalisation replaced his sarcastic attitude. "W-what if she's in trouble?" but Lottie shook her head slowly, glancing out the window again as she said "in the middle of the day in the centre of the city? I doubt it... we should let her breath and... well. We can't keep chasing her, can we? C'mon, lets continue researching."

On their way towards the Queen's quarters of the palace, Claudia stopped just after Nyru felt a chill sweep over him. Odd, he thought, there couldn't be any wind in here. He looked to her, then noticed her look at her hand. It was the place that the Prince of Crows' mark was once upon a time, where their mark was. Nyru looked at his own bare hand and felt a wave of relief when he saw there was no mark, not a single sign of it. Those days were long gone - although sometimes he missed the power of the Prince, it certainly made subterfuge and murder much easier. He shook his head. "No" he said quietly, then placed a hand on her shoulder, "I mean... who are we to know? The good thing is, he's not here." No name was mentioned, but both of them knew exactly of whom they spoke. "Go" he then said, gesturing towards the doorway leading to the palace conservatory, "I must make some preparations, update the Queen."

Beyond the double doors were a gigantic space surrounded in glass and black metal frame. Plants covered the ground, separating only for bending stone paths. Tall trees and broad-leafed plants towered above, with some vines dangling neatly from specially made wire-frames hanging in the taller section of the room above. There was always a walkway suspended in a circle, for better viewing of the conservatory as a whole. In the centre was a largely cleared out area, with a circular stone mosaic made from varying shades of grey, lilac and black. A tree grew at it's centre, reaching up into the suspending walkway. Birds, slender and narrow, darted by to perch on it's branches. The Queen sat upon an ornate metal chair off to the side, enjoying a glass of tea with her Vizier, Horakhty. As Claudia entered, Horakhty passed her, eyeing her respectfully as he vacated the room to leave the two girls alone. "Claudia" the Queen began, turning her head gracefully in the girl's direction. She then gestured to the seat Horakhty had left. It was as ornate as her own, topped with a plumb black cushion. "Please, sit. You've returned earlier than expected, did your visit to Team Elixer not go as planned?" by the time Claudia had sat, she had already taken a spare teacup and began pouring the pale liquid from the teapot. It was a fragrant tea, lilac in colour, but mostly transparent.

Nyru was always a reassurance as he touched her shoulder gently, thankfully, it wasn't the one that was infected. He hadn't shown himself in years and maybe it was just all the pandemonium from this morning must have brought things up. Anyway, her job right now was to update the Queen on their conversation with Team Sun. She'd after wish Isabelle and Nyru a good journey after this because she probably won't be seeing them for a while. Inside the conservatory, the space was open surrounded by a glass dome. An abondance of plants covered the area with stone paths branching out everywhere. Taking any path will lead you around the place at least once so you can take in the whole view. Trees with broad leaves towered above and some of their vines dangled nearly from a wire ceiling frame. In the middle was a circular mosaic stone opening decorated with grey, black, and lilac stones, the colors of this beautiful nation. A large tree grew up in the middle housing slender, narrow birds that darted out the branches when she arrived. The Queen and Horakhty occupied an ornate metal bistro table and chairs set, enjoying tea. Out of respect for their privacy, Horakhty vacated the area leaving the two women alone.

The Queen gestured for her to take Horakhty's seat, a blush black cushion was waiting for her to settle on. Claudia sighed deeply as she nodded and sat down accepted the tea gracefully. She peered over the rim of the cup at the fragrant, lilac liquid, although it was mostly transparent, as she formulated the best answer for her Queen. However, there was no best answer so she figured she'd just come out and say it. "I suspect they are onto us. Judging by Tsuna's resentful attitude...Still, their sticking their noses to far in." She took a sip before bowing respectfully, "Also, I need to beg for forgiveness. I barred them from the library as punishment. I shouldn't have done so without your permission, My Lady." When she thought about it, what she did was equally unfair, but she couldn't stop herself in wanting to protect them. After all, her and Nyru were in their shoes once and had made a lot of mistakes. Queen Declasia may had hid things from them, but it was for their protection first and foremost.

The atmosphere was calm and collected, as though the space they sat in had a personality all itself. Insects chirped with the birdsong high above. Water danced somewhere beyond the emerald leaves and if there was ever minute of silence, it felt like piano and strings could have filled them. Declasia took a sip from her cup when Claudia announced that Tsuna was resentful, and the team suspicious of their motivations. Declasia placed her cup delicately on the table, not a sound from it as it touched the ivory saucer. Claudia then continued, expressing her apology for stepping out of line. Declasia made eye contact then with her subject, showing no signs of her thoughts. "I see" she began, lightly gliding her fingertip over the rim of her saucer. "Make certain that you make no further restrictions without my approval. We need not antagonise our guests further, nor besmirch my integrity." Declasia took in a deep breath, quietly sighing. "Tsuna Miki is too wise, or incredibly untrusting. I like to assume it is the latter. If she had truly wanted our help, I would have thought she would be more amicable. What exactly has she done to arouse your suspicions and force your hand in ruling the students? I would very much like to hear about their actions thus far. And what of Micha'el and Scarlot? Whilst I stand on the edge of caution, I still prefer to believe they are innocent and implicated only by circumstance. Even so, they are valuable in helping us understand the disease, as well as understanding what Alexis Truesvale is up to."

Tsuna Miki

Declasia made her intentions clear and corrected Claudia with a small slap on the wrist. However, Claudia knew she deserved a bigger punishment because not only was she lying to Team Sun, she was lying to her own teammate, and even worse her Queen. She moved the subject to Tsuna, how her proclivity pushed everyone away despite her needing the help. The Queen found it odd that she had become so hostile in such a short amount of time. Micha'el and Lottie followed her lead, but they were more understanding than Tsuna. Besides, the Queen believed they could still be useful and could lend them more information they need about Alexis. Claudia knew why these events happened the way they did, Tsuna could have outed Claudia this morning yet she held back. Being part Therian, she knew her sense of smell was ten times stronger than any of theirs and could smell the decay coming off her. Even in the beginning when they first meet, the girl refused to shake her hand and eyed her with caution in the throne room knowing something was amiss. If Claudia illuded to as to why Tsuna had become so suspicious she'd be revealing herself. A weight fell on Claudia and the color practically drained from her face. At this moment, she didn't realize how far the infection was progressing and was now feeling its effects. Claudia looked at her Queen almost dazed trying to formulate an answer in her jumbled brain. She felt like she couldn't breath as she shakily tried to stand up hoping to feel some rush of relief. The next think she knew her eyes were rolling back and she tumbled to the ground unconscious. Sweat dripped down her face as she convolved starting to suffer the same afflictions as Ivan. The magic had eaten away at her shoulder and into her muscle sinking into her veins.

Meanwhile, Tsuna had allowed herself enough alone time was was already trekking back to the palace. She allowed her mind to wonder on the way back reviewing what she knew and trying to clear away all worry. Now that she's meet the Prince of Crows in person his looming presence wasn't so daunting. She planned to apologize to Claudia and Nyru when she got back knowing that her attitude this morning was unnecessary and would beg to forgiven hoping to get into the library legally. She also needed to check on Lottie and Micha'el after leaving them as abruptly as she did. Hopefully all her attempts at peace will go well and maybe she can start over with the Queen and her knights. At least make a better impression than she had been.

Nyru had come as soon as he received the message from Horakhty. It cut short his goodbyes with Isabelle, who was waiting with him for Claudia to return from her meeting with the Queen. He ran to the infirmary, using the shortest route he could remember through the palace's corridors. It was located in the eastern wing, where the palace was adjacent to the city around it and the public could use it, where the morning sun would usually spill through the tall stained glass at the end of the hall. He burst through the open doors and towards the edge of the room that was curtained off, revealing a larger space behind it. The infirmary of the black palace was a large space, with some main corridors and smaller rooms, then with this larger room with a tall vaulted ceiling. Similar to the rest of the palace everything was mostly black, except for uniforms and patient clothing being an ordinary grey. Beds and other furniture were ornate, but with less extravagant detail or upholstery.

Claudia lay silent. She was in simple grey clothes and the menacing, diseased wound on her shoulder was instantly revealed. Horakhty sat quietly on the armchair beside her, speaking with a nurse that was stood beside him. She wore a grey apron over a purple-grey dress, complete with hat to hold her hair and grey wrapping around her wrists, up to her elbows, to keep the sleeves of her dress tight and away from her hands. Dangling around her waste was a loose chain, with several trinkets that Nyru recognised and healing wards and instruments. There was also the familiar emblem of Declasia, but it was stubbier to better associate itself with the simple hospital cross. She and Horakhty turned to face Nyru when he rushed in, curtain closing behind him. "Maat Statem" the nurse said, greating him with the cultural custom for royal guards. "What happened?" he demanded, "she was fine, Claudia was fine I was just talking to her half an hour ago!"
"Maat Vessalia was speaking with the Queen when she collapsed unexpectedly. An infection has spread from a wound behind her shoulder, causing necrosis and abnormalities of the mind." Nyru scowled, unsure how this could have happened. But upon looking at her shoulder again, as painful as it was to even look at, he remember her injury from fighting the infected Harrowsteed a few days ago. His eyes widened in realisation as he turned to speak. "Our mission to investigate the wild harrowsteed... Claudia was injured but assured me it was healing just fine... why didn't she tell us?"
"Perhaps" Horakhty began, "she was scared of being a test subject for the disease."
"We do not experiment on our wounded, Vizier" the nurse interjected, showing that she wasn't afraid to defend her practise even in front of him. "Even still. She appeared to hide it. I do not know whether it was stubborn... or thoughtful as to not distract everyone."
"I have given her all the medicine I understand to work" the nurse added, cutting Horakhty off from further, untuneful conversation. "Painkillers so that it may subdue her affliction, or at least control her unconscious writhing. I've also administered pale daisy." Nyru's heart sank when he heard her say it. Pale daisies he thought, a flower known only to the Land of Crows, used in medicine to quieten the mind... shut it off almost entirely. It would leave its victim's looking pale, like a statue. Now as he looked at Claudia again, he wanted to punch himself for not noticing. It was obvious and only made the darkness of her infection all the more obvious. The nurse began speaking again, and at first he didn't hear her until she carefully placed a hand on his shoulder. "-has slowed the process."
"Forgive me... what has slowed?" Nyru asked. She smiled softly, then said "the spread of the disease has slowed drastically since administering the pale daisy. It appears that the disease, whilst physical, is linked closed to the mind. I must apologise for using it without consultation, however she was audibly distressed and it was all I could think of using to calm her."
"No... that's fine. Thank you. I.. uhm. What about the Queen? Is she alright? Is this infectious?" This time it was Horakhty who spoke, shaking his head, "Declasia is well and busy." He spoke her name casually, "I wasn't far away when she called for help in the conservatory. Once our nurses arrived she had to attend to something urgent."

(This could be a good time for Tsuna to show up? I'm certain any royal guard of the palace would accept a request to bring her to Nyru and Claudia, news would have barely even spread to them of what's happened.)

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna's walk finally came to an end when she made it to the palace, however, something was off. The guards whom were usually in position were more spread out, thinned even, like their was no authority to direct them at the moment. If she could recall, Claudia seemed to be the guard in charge, but with this case her priorities had been elsewhere. Tsuna tried not to assume the worst as she found a nearby solider and asked for Nyru and Claudia's location as politely as possible. They agreed and lead her down several halls, all very in different distances as well as decorations before they came to the medical ward. Once Tsuna saw the room they were heading into her stomach dropped and she feared the worst. Picking up her pace, she passed the guard before charging into a sprint instantly heading for the only drawn curtains in the room. She grabbed the curtains almost yanking them off their rails preparing herself for a scene similar to Ivan's infection. Although, when she did arrive no screaming meet her ears and no visible convolutions could be seen. Standing there for a moment to process what she was looking at, her grip loosened and she let the curtain drop back gently into place. She slowly approached the bed looking over Claudia's pale comatose body, the wound was more dark and she could only assume they had given her some kind of medicine to pacify her.

Although she wasn't writhing around like Ivan was, seeing her look like she was on Death's doorstep made her sick. She held her stomach as she closed her eyes and stepped away with her ears down. She shakily replied to Horakhty and Nyru whom were probably waiting for her to speak. The nurse didn't address Tsuna like she had the royal guards, but didn't intend to leave her patient's side as any honorable nurse would. "It's progressed so quickly...in such a short amount of time. Ivan's was slower, but the cut was smaller and transferred from a different species...does this mean it varies..." Tsuna was trying to hard not to breakdown as she spoke hating seeing Claudia in this state. She should have said something, but she feared for Claudia seeing how she was putting on a front and not revealing herself to even her closest companions. Tsuna had been shaking, but had to stop herself and be strong or another victim will fall into this cycle. She couldn't let this happen to anyone else, she can't fail, she hadn't go on. Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and looked at Nyru and then Horakhty. She gestured to the nurse indicated that one of them needed to send her away for a moment even if they had to used their higher stations to do so. Once she hesitantly left, Tsuna spoke as confidently and genuinely as she could.

"Let me start off with my apology. I shouldn't have acted the way I did to you and Claudia this morning, it was immature and unnecessary. Pushing you away out of fear for my team's safety as well as my doubts won't help any of us solve this. I had my suspicious that Claudia was unwell from the beginning, I could smell the infection, but didn't say anything convincing myself I was wrong until this morning. The smell had increased and I took it upon myself not to trust you because I thought maybe by then she would have told you. I thought maybe you were keeping us in the dark on purpose, but I see now that you're just as lost as I am." She paused for a moment staring at the wound on Claudia's should. "It's not necromancy, is it? It's Arcane. The magic eats away at the hosts organic structure causing it to decay giving it the ruse of necromancy. I had convinced myself of this given the smell and what I could see. I was a fool. It wasn't till I came here and the Queen mentioned Alexis Truesvale. Ever since then, my mind has shifted and speculations this morning eventually lead me to the truth. She's the only person whom is able to master Arcane, one of the most wild and unmanageable magics." She paused a second time to catch her breath before continuing. "I swear I wasn't lying that day in the throne room. I don't know much about Alexis, only that she is powerful and documentations left over from Team Exiler. When she appeared at the Winter Tournament at the academy she just looked sad and beaten down. I don't even know if she stayed for the festivities, she left right after the opening ceremony. After the Winter Ball, I had a conversation with our headmaster. I told him that I would try to find Lucas Purevelion thinking that with him and Alexis combine they could somehow stop this. Solomon warned me to stay away from Alexis's affairs not wanting me to get caught in the crossfire. Probably too late for that? If she is the culprit, maybe I've somehow evoked her wrath due to my efforts to try and save Ivan...but I haven't saved anyone...and now..." She was starting to blame herself seeing that anyone she was around seemed to have some misfortune due to her meddling and negligence. Tears starting to run down her cheeks as she once again apologized. "Sorry...I'm so sorry..."

Nyru's train of thought was completely broken when Tsuna came forcing her way through the curtains behind him. All there turned to face her, Nyru's face scowling in confusion, followed by the nurse muttering something, and then Horakhty making a noise of irritation, "tsk". Nyru caught the eye of the royal guard behind her as the curtain dropped - who looked embarrassed to have brought Tsuna here. "Excuse me young lady-" the nurse began, but Nyru raised his hand to say it was alright. Then Tsuna spoke, half to herself, or to them, Nyru wasn't quite sure. She described Claudia's condition not being unlike Ivan's, progressing much more aggressively. Finally, she pulled back and gave a silent signal for the nurse to leave. Horakhty rolled his eyes, taking authority here as he said "let us be with the girl. We'll alert you should Claudia's condition changes."
"Of course" she reluctantly replied, stepping out of the curtains.

Tsuna's apology came quickly and profoundly. Nyru couldn't help but feel some pride, thankful that Tsuna was coming clean. However his heart stirred, knowing there was a rift between the teams. He understood her intentions completely however, and he ignored whatever scowling faces Horakhty might be making. She began to reveal her understanding of the disease, linking arcane magic to necromancy, or at least the guise it played, and then explained that she knew Claudia was unwell. Nyru remained silent, unsure of what to make of the information. Horakhty however nodded carefully. Then, conversation turned to Alexis, and how she is a possible culprit. Horakhty looked at Nyru again, who clenched his jaw, then shook his head barely at Horakhty.

Nyru placed his hand on Tsuna's shoulder, then firmly squeezed it to reassure her as she began to cry. "You have nothing to apologise for. You were protecting your team, and I can understand that. We are strangers to you, and you have priorities greater than our own. Thank you for coming here, I wish only that it could have been under different circumstances. Let me get some chairs." Nyru quickly left through the curtains, speaking briefly to the nurse as he found some chairs for them. In this moment, she was left alone with Horakhty, who as ever, was sitting silently, ignoring her, as he looked down at his clasped hands in deep thought. Nyru then returned, carrying two grey upholstered antique chairs as if they weighed much less in each hand. Placing them both down they sat on one side of Claudia, whilst Horakty remained on the other. "Ivan... this is how he is?" Nyru asked, gesturing to Claudia who lay quietly, deathly. "We must work together to understand what is happening and find the culprit. If it is indeed arcane in nature, there must be a master. Magic like that must be commanded-"
"It must not be anything. Arcane magic is chaotic in nature and is only organised and bent to it's master's will. Naturally, it can do whatever it likes with no care for its wielder or those in it's way." Horakhty chimed in, nonchalantly.

Tsuna Miki

Nyru consoled her lightly trying to rationalize her reasons as he left her with Horakhty to get some chairs. Tsuna glanced at Horakhty whom was deep in thought and felt like she shouldn't push boundaries with him so she remained silent wiped her tears away. Nyru came back carrying two grey unholstered antique chairs that looked like they should weigh more but didn't. Her and Nyru sat on the other side of the bed across from Horakhty as they attempted to put their heads together to solve this matter. Nyru asked about Ivan's condition and Tsuna sadly muttered, "It's worse. The rot has take over most of his body. He's been in annoying...writhing...I don't know how he's held out for so long...his eyes are even glowing blue...but due to Solomon, Maverly, and Lumina's efforts he hasn't lost control yet or died...I don't think so anyway. I haven't been in contact with the academy since we left." Nyru must have been found her answer alarming wanting to pin point the culprit immediately. However, Horakhty mentioned that arcane could be acting on its own accord due to its chaotic nature. She added to his idea trying to map it out further. "You're saying that the arcane has a mind of its own? If it was casted, maybe it could have already consumed its wielder and continued its rampage. But the targets, the birds, harrowsteeds, and people sound feel to specific. If it was more wild wouldn't it attack everything? Organic, plant, matter itself? Chipping away at anything it encounters?" She almost felt like she was describing it as a frost storm or like...time. Since the thought popped in her head she just blurted it out. "Like time. Time corrodes everything in its wake, maybe this is a speed up version?"

"Hm" Horakhty pondered, finally making eye contact with her. He thought about his own harrowsteed, Kafele. He had often considered what he would do if the disease took his steed, and whether or not he would be able to kill it. "Correct" he said shortly, in reply to her rationalisation about the arcane disease not being completely wild. Then, her thoughts on time itself made Nyru and Horakhty look at each other, silently exchanging a whole conversation. "You, dear Tsuna Miki... may have just proven Truesvale's involvement in all of this." Horakhty said, "tell her, Nyru. I think she has earned that much." Nyru leaned back in his chair, trying to catch his breath. He looked dazed, as he swallowed hard and ran his hand through his black hair. He looked anxious. Through a clenched jaw he revealed "Alexis... she can manipulate time, or has done. Well - we cannot confirm that, Vizier."
"Nonsense" Horakhty rebuked. But Nyru was firm as he looked at him, then to Tsuna. "I happen to know that she... she doesn't age. Apparently she is separated from our timeline. Please - do not share this with anyone."
Horakhty rolled his eyes, coming to a stand, "you paid not heed in telling your Queen. Although I must agree to some extent, this conversation will be between us and the queen."
"That's different" Nyru hissed, suddenly speaking in a much more serious tone than before. "That knowledge was not mine to share, and only to the Queen out of duty. Tsuna deserves to know if this implicates her adoptive father." He looked back at Tsuna, his dark blue eyes were begging her not to spread the secret. "I trust you" he said, "if you trust me."

Tsuna Miki

She absolutely thought her commentary on time would be irreverently and instantly dismissed, but Horakhty found it reasonable. Her ramblings had just convicted Alexis of the crime and Nyru had proof of this theory he was withholding from her. Horakhty felt like she earned the right now know and despite Nyru's hesitation he revealed that Alexis can manipulate time, but its a hard accusation. Tsuna's ears flattened against her head feeling the tension between the two. Nyru even further explained that she doesn't age and is possibly on a separate timeline. When Tsuna really thought about it, looking at Alexis she appeared to be barely in her 20's when in fact she should be around Claudia's and Nyru's ages, mid 30's. She thought made she just had really good skin products like Lottie, but even reports she's reviewed about Team Exiler's missions say otherwise. Although hostile, the two men advised her not to tell a soul since the information was only meant for them and the Queen despite Ivan's involvement. Looking into her eyes, he wanted her trust to keep this secret maintained which she felt like she had no choice. More secrets from her teammates, the guilt was eating her alive. She shook her head firmly as the nurse came back in to administer some more medicine. Whatever she was giving her seemed to slow the process and keep Claudia brain dead, but better than screaming and thrashing. "What is that stuff? She's not screaming and convulsing like Ivan was...or is...would that stuff help him too?"

Nyru's attention followed Tsuna's, who was now watching the nurse administer the pale daisy. "uh... Nurse, please can you advise?" he asked. The nurse then tilted her head as she finished with the medicine. "This is made from the pale daisy I described before you bombarded my ward." She looked over at the two of them blankly. "And what of our stores?" Nyru asked. The nurse's eyes looked across the floor for a moment, without moving her head at all, as she calculated in her head. "We have more than enough to keep Claudia in a somewhat stable state, should nothing else develop. Luckily, the plant grows in abundance in the Dead Marsh."
"Good. Arrange for 2 week's worth of medicine to be shipped to Hope Academy in Neutral City."
"Ma'at-"
"We have more than enough - you said so yourself. Have it marked and packaged, i'll arrange the courier to collect it from you this afternoon." Nyru turned to Tsuna, nodding at her with a reassuring smile. He hoped that this would be enough to gain her trust, and to show that he means well, and by extension, the Queen. "I trust that this should help calm your nerves whilst you continue your mission. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Tsuna Miki

The nurse didn't seem to thrilled with her intrusion from earlier making her feel unwelcomed which wasn't entirely new given her track record. "Sorry..." She apologized under her breath hoping the nurse would forgive her enough to explain the effects of the remedy. Suddenly, Nyru asked about how much supplies they cared and the nurse confirmed that there was plenty. She even specified where it grows so they could always gather more if stocks got low. Out of nowhere, Nyru arranged for the medicine to be sent to the academy for Ivan surprising her and the nurse. With a simply command everything was put into process and with a kind smile he hoped this would strengthen her trust in him and help her focus on the task at hand. Tsuna ears perked up and her tail swooshed about happily, or it could be a random rush of adrenaline, either way she was rejuvenated. "You'd really do that!?" She stood up abruptly and piped, "Thank you! I'll make it up to you, I promise! Where's the library!? Grant me access and I won't let you down!" She could see the nurse side eyeing her disruptive, gitty mood but she couldn't contain herself. Once he granted her access and pointed her in the direction she needed to go, she practically flew out of their without another word.

Finding the library wasn't hard and once she entered and she found herself lost in a maze of knowledge. Books are far and high as she could see surrounded her, but luckily she was alone. She was able to calm herself down from the sudden gleeful spike knowing that Ivan's misery will over, but his demise has only been prolonged so she shouldn't be to cheerful. If this arcane's fuel is time, then time was definitely against her and every second counts. She needed to find answers now and although there were so many books around she only needed one. She gave herself a moment to ponder before roaming around and getting lost. Looking down at her bandaged hand, she decided to put the Prince to use since he hasn't yet to deliver on their bargain. Truth be told, she hasn't exactly hadn't done what he's expected her too but she's given a show nonetheless. "Hey, Crow." Maybe she was being impertinent, but he was no prince of hers nor was she going to treat him as such. "You said this place was yours once. Throw me a bone here and tell me where is a good place to start."

The library of the Black Palace, often referred to as the Per-Medjat by the royal guard who directed Tsuna, was a great and magnificent quarter. The opening hall was laid with chequered black and grey marble. Vast open spaces allowed for stone statues to erupt into the air, standing majestically like gods from another time. Pillars, often decorated with tall, forboding Ibis birds that beaks that hung out to hold a oil lantern, alight with quiet flame. Books lines the many walls, and steps at each corner led up to a walkway above with further shelves that stretched deeper. Ahead, on the ground floor, were archways that seemingly led down steps into another area. The library itself was an organised chaos of multiple floors fitting into each other on slightly different levels, with rooms beyond rooms leading to various genres and teachings. That, and being low lit by flame, made it easy to get lost, even if you were just a few rooms away from the main hall that towered several stories high.

From the silence after Tsuna's call, the Prince of Crows spoke, giving away his place perched on an armchair by a window that looked out over the city beneath them. Light poured in, but it didn't seem to light his body like it would any real object. It was like he was a figment of Tsuna's imagination. "You're not the first to reject my royalty" he said, standing up and vanishing as he appeared behind her. "You'll learn." The Prince then looked around the room, uncaringly, "the library has been through various iterations since my rule, in fact most of the black palace was rebuilt in Declasia's image after she appropriated my castle. Perhaps you ought to begin in the formality section? Or perhaps the lesser visited History section on Therian History. My favourite book is there - Chapter 1: How Slaves Built The City of Crows."
