Ares would get pulled closer to the corner as it was obvious Lykos had something bad planned if he was stepping away after pulling his opponent to the corner.
'You gotta move.'
'You gotta move right now.'
Ares would then hear the big man charge. And would grab the turnbuckle in front of him.
Forcing himself at the last second, Ares propped his knees up.

Lykos had a plan to more or less squash the smaller man while showing off some of his athleticism. Unfortunately, he crashes down on the man's knees, knocking the wind out of him. Lykos rolls off him and onto the mat immediately, holding his stomach from where he'd landed

Bright side, Lykos was hurting after his ribs would meet with the sharp knees of Ares.
However, Ares was still crushed and would begin to cough uncontrollably after getting crashed into. Sure, he blocked a lot of the damage and hurt his opponent, but 300 pounds still crushed him, as well as his own body getting crushed on itself.
Ares would roll over on to his stomach and get on to his knees and elbows and he let his coughing fit finish.

Lykos remains lying on the mat, attempting to catch his breath. eventually, he rolls to the side and reaches up to grab the ropes, using them to begin to pull himself back up

Ares would begin to climb back to his feet from all fours, still coughing but he was able to move and that was all he needed to do at this moment.
Once at a vertical base, he would begin to turn around to Lykos who was also getting back to his feet. Limping toward him to deliver a club to the back of the Dark Wolf.

Lykos is met on the rise with a clubbing shot to the back. As it connects, he stumbles forward, the ropes keeping him vertical since he'd grabbed them to pull himself up in the first place

Ares had Lykos literally and figuratively on the ropes. He just needed a few more steps, and he might get the win over the large and bright upstart in the Dark Wolf.
After the club, Ares would grab the shoulder of Lykos to pull the big man to face him, and as soon as the big man turned, Ares would throw a kick aimed at the gut of his opponent.

a kick to the gut forces Lykos to double over slightly, one arm still hanging onto the ropes. For the moment he seems to be stopped in his tracks

Ares would hook the free arm of Lykos, and try to yank the arm. Looking to get the arms into an underhook. Obviously Ares was looking for the Terminus.

Lykos isn't sure what Ares has planned but he wants no part of it. So as Ares attempts to hook his arms, Lykos suddenly springs forward and attempts to clock him with a headbutt to the side of the head

Ares almost had the arms locked, then all of a sudden he got dizzy and lost his grip. Almost tripping over his opponent, Ares Alexander would drop to a knee as the Dark Wolf finds a way out of a bad situation.

Lykos finally has a moment and he needs something big. So he reaches down to grab Ares by the throat, aiming to lift him up and plant him with a one handed chokeslam

Ares would get grabbed by his throat and began to get forced to a vertical base. Trying to avoid taking the huge maneuver, Ares would begin to kick at the knee of Lykos. Trying to weaken the leg and base for the big chokeslam.

Lykos intended to put Ares down for the count right there, but the smaller man wisely kicks at the knee he'd attacked earlier, dropping Lykos back down to one knee again

Ares would chop the arm to release the hold. The Dark Wolf was back in position and he looked to execute another Warrior Knee on the big man.
