What a unique strategy! It seems to work for quite some time as your help the various hunters take down their prey. It's really couldn't be going any better!

Though even with all the help you've been giving, some of the hunters don't seem to be thankful for too long. They are very hungry and you are nothing but a delicious meal right in front of them...

So many of you are running, unaware of how futile it is.

You, however, seem to have made the gravest of errors- running right into a bog.

Fixing the exit doesn't come easy, especially when other people are clamoring around whimpering and begging. You focus on your task, the better to rescue everyone. In fact, you're so focused on fixing the exit you don't notice when the sounds around you stop. Suddenly, a rough hand pulls you away. You spin around, flailing and trying to attack, but the enemy doesn't seem to care. The last thing you remember are hands closed around your throat as it all goes black.

Maybe taking shelter and hiding in the corn field wasn't the best idea, but it wasn't like you had a lot of options. You got to work with what you have. Light and shadows play strangely through the stalks, the plants sway in the breeze, the leaves rattling together as the stalks groan. You find yourself holding your breath, trying to descern what sounds might be something approaching versus the ambience.

You notice movement from the corner of your eye. Had that scarecrow always been there? More movement. Okay, that second one definitely wasn't here a moment ago. And suddenly a third. And now the first one is closer? It isn't long before they descend on you... (edited)
