My most recent experience with critical analysis and thinking would be last semester in my speech 1 class where we had to create a speech and "teach" the class about a specific topic. with enough research I am typically comfortable with writing essays. I'm not currently reading anything, but soon I will for sure. My favorite creative text has to be action because I enjoy reading about characters having intense interactions. Word count 71

1. Working in an ER requires the use of critical analysis and critical thinking when in the position of triaging patients. The nurse must analyze the data collected from each patient, prioritize individual needs presented, then utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate potential complications. Patients are then cared for in the order of highest risk for potential complications to the lowest risk. I would say my most recent use of critical analysis and critical thinking skills was on my last shift as the triage nurse, yesterday.

2. Reading and writing has never been a strong skill that I possess. My comfort level when writing any type of essay is extremely low.

3. I am currently not reading anything.

4. The Outsiders was by far my favorite novel.

1- My most recent experience with critical analysis involved examining texts for underlying themes and rhetorical strategies. I also engaged in peer review, and work improve my argument in my last semester class speech.

2- I'm not completely comfortable writing literature essays, but I can get through it. While it can be challenging to analyze texts deeply and organize my thoughts clearly, with effort I'm able to manage and improve.

3- Right now, I'm reading America Vol. 2: Fast and Fuertona, and I've already read the previous volumes before this one.

4- My favorite creative text is the Twilight series - all the books.

My most recent experience with critical analysis and critical thinking was during my internship at a nursing home as a CNA. I was assigned multiple patients and a different partner every day, so we had to figure out the most efficient way to give the best care while adjusting to slightly different styles of patient care we used. My comfort level with writing essays about literature is decent. I struggle when it comes to ideas of what to write about and I hope to improve on this skill. Currently, I am reading a book called "Mistakes were made" when I have free time. My favorite creative text would have to be a book called "One Last Stop" By Casey McQuiston. It's a romance novel with a touch of sci-fi.

Last week, I fought with insurance regarding unpaid claims. A combination of numerous appointments and plan changes resulted in a tab that my insurances are fighting to not pay. Gotta love America’s healthcare system.

My comfort level is moderate.

I’m reading “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara.

I enjoy novels.

1. My most recent experience with critical thinking was when I was watching a thriller movie. I was trying to figure out what the plot twist was going to be at the end of the movie, while analyzing the plot in front of me.
2. I do enjoy writing and consider myself to be experienced with writing essays. Writing about literature I’m not too familiar with, and don’t believe I’ve done so since high school.
3. I love reading and have my reading goal set for the year on my Goodreads account. Currently I’m reading Stephan king’s It and Neil Gaiman’s Coraline.
4. Poetry is one of my favorite genres to read, I have quite a few I enjoy. ‘Soul spill” is one of my favorites at the moment.

My most recent experience with critical analysis and thinking was when I was drafting a proposal to my apartment complex’s management office to request EV charging. Specifically when going through recent legal documents to find out exactly how I should frame the request so that it was least likely to be ignored and denied.

I enjoy writing in theory, like making the outline and gathering all my points and topics, but when it comes to stringing them all together I lose interest, I think it stems from being more of a fan of speaking and having slightly more flexibility in spoken words as opposed to a written in ink paper.

I am currently working through reading through various Homeric Hymns

My favourite creative genera of creative texts would have to be greek mythology, more specifically probably the Illiad.

Why doesn't the poll have an option to reply "yes" for both? I love reading and writing.

Quote:
1. What is your most recent experience with critical analysis and critical thinking?

I'm in a writing group where we do a lot of character analysis, so I suppose that would be my most recent one that's relevant to this course.

Quote:
2. This is an intensive writing course. What is your comfort level with writing essays about literature?

I do this in my free time for fun, so I'm very comfortable with doing this. It's often harder to work up the fervor to write about something I'm not especially passionate about, but I am capable and look forward to seeing the material we have to work with.

Quote:
3. What are you currently reading?

My writing group has a book club, and I'm still getting through August's book which is Night Watch by Terry Pratchett. I've been really enjoying it; I somehow missed out on his books for most of my life and it's been fun to be introduced to them.

Quote:
4. What is your favourite creative text -- such as a novel, memoir, poetry collection...?

The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir has become my favorite; I'm patiently awaiting the fourth and final book to be released.

1. My most recent experience with critical analysis and critical thinking was at work; as I work at Honda as a technician, I always have to take in cars and write up a repair summary on the vehicle that was performed and figure out the problem and fix it

2. This will not be easy, but I will be fine if I understand and see what I'm doing.

3. Not at the moment.

4. A favorite novel I read was back in high school, Flowers of Algernon.
