Trent would drop to the mat after springing and planting his feet into the body of Cartwright, pressing Cartwright's face against the steel with great force.

Upon the landing, Trent would hold his back, but he would very shortly begin to get his footing back. Trying to hurry to Cartwright. Lunging at the belt to release Cartwright from the trap, just so he could push Cartwright down, back to the mat, for the cover.

It seemed like Trent was content with beating Cartwright up for today.

Drogan: "It's all over, Nigel! Trent is finally going to win at Blaze of Glory!"

Trent would almost get thrown off of Cartwright with the force used to break the pinfall. The Champion would sit up, completely astonished at Cartwright finding a way to get the shoulder up after everything Trent has thrown. And that astonishment turned to frustration as Trent slapped the mat three times and looked to the official residing in the ring.

Nigel: "Cartwright shocks the world, and now Trent is battling with the thought of not putting Cartwright away after that big maneuver!"

Drogan: "I can't blame him. That count was a bit slow and gave Cartwright the chance to get the shoulder up!"

Trent would get to his feet and get in the officials face. Most of the blood that masked Trent's face has been sweated off at this point as the beads would drip down Trent's face and blend in with the canvas under him.

After venting for a bit at the officials expense, Trent would stand over the downed Cartwright.

Cart would bring his hand up as a show of defiance. But it only would piss Trent off. Trent would grab the wrist of the raised hand. Getting a solid grasp on it as he began to send multiple kicks down at the head of Cartwright.

Cartwright must have been a door mat in the past life, because he ate those boots like it was nothing. Not only that, but the mad lad actually would use the position Trent put himself into against him, throwing Trent to the wayside with a arm drag from the horizontal stance.

Trent would fly to the mat, catching himself against the ropes, in front of the cage door. Luckily his body stopping him from slamming the back of his head against the cage from the drag. Trent would squeeze out of the ropes, grabbing the ropes in an effort to get back to his feet.

Cartwright was running on fumes. He forced himself up with all his might and got to his feet before Trent. Using that advantage to hit the ropes nad come back with a dropkick that smashed Trent through the ropes in to the cage door behind him.

The lock would hold on the cage, but the door would get dented in from the power of the dropkick as well as the weight of Trent and the speed at which he flew back.

Trent would fall through the ropes and to the apron, laying against the cage as he could feel the heat coming off his back from smacking the unforgiving steel.

Cartwright had a well thought out plan. Setting up the steel chair for maximum damage. But Trent wasn't going without a fight. He saw the chair lined up and it was in his best interest to fight the direction this was going.

When Cartwright sprung up and locked on to Trent, the Champion looked to use his free hand to grab the turnbuckle whenever Cartwright attempted to suplex the man. And when Cartwright wasn't applying pressure and looking to readjust, Trent looked to throw a few strikes to the side of Cartwright to soften him up.

Cartwright would drop to his feet just a few inches in front of Trent. The Champion would look to readjust himself on the top of the turnbuckle. Trying to get on top of the turnbuckle so he can sit on the top of the turnbuckle, with his feet on top of the second turnbuckle pad.

If he could get to that position, he could then grab Cart who was in front of him and look to hit a massive tornado DDT on to the chair that Cartwright had propped up. How sweet it would be to punish Cartwright with the set up that he made.
