Cartwright looks fatigued following the beatdown that Trent has delivered to him, it appears that the idea of a mat wrestling classic has been thrown out of the window.
Trent lifts Cartwright up, The Lad staggering in place as he tries to find the energy to continue!

Indeed. The match had transitioned from a technical masterpiece into blood and guts as it was winner take all. Trent would look to wrap his dominant arm around the neck of Cart, lifting him and attempting to hit a big suplex toss in the center of the ring. Tossing Cartwright to the side and displaying his brute strength now.

Trent flings Cartwright to the mat as if he weights fifty pounds, wowing the crowd as Cartwright grabs at his back, the pain building further in the afflicted area!

Cartwright would flop to the mat, as Trent would drop with him, looking to see if he can get the win after the nasty toss.

Trent doesn't give The Lad a chance to breath, as he sees his plight and covers him for it.

Cartwright lifts a shoulder up off of the mat!

Still, Cartwright was as lively as he was prior to the suplex toss. After Cartwright kicked out, Trent would bring an arm around the neck of the Brit, trying to lock in a solid grounded headlock to continue the wearing down process.

Trent decides to slow the pace of the match down, applying a tight headlock to the grounded Cartwright.
Cartwright raises his hands up, looking for support from the crowd, who clap and cheer him on!
The Lad begins to rise up to his feet with the headlock applied, he looks to escape with some elbows to the worked on abdomen of Trent!

The crowd began to rally behind Cartwright. What a weird concept, especially seeing who the man was in the ring with. But Trent was enjoying the fight back, until Cartwright got to enough of a base to begin throwing elbows.
The elbows would connect in the stomach of Trent, loosening the grip that Trent had on the headlock as the crowd continued to boost Cartwright!

Cartwright could feel Trent's grip loosen, so he thinks now is the time to escape the headlock and begin to fight back with some rights to Trent's face!

The strikes would connect, each time the people in the crowd would give an audible 'Ooh'. And with each strike, Trent would stumble backwards.

Cartwright's getting pumped-up by the crowd and his rights landing.
The Lad Irish Whips Trent across the ring and in to the ropes, looking to catch him with a dropkick as he returns!

Trent was brought to the ropes. The crowd loud for Cartwright at this moment as Trent would get tossed to the other set of ropes, bouncing off into both of Cartwright's feet, dropping to the mat as a result!

The burst of energy had paid-off for Cartwright, as he has been able to turn the tide in this match!
But The Lad knows that it will take more than that to stop Trent, so he climbs the top turnbuckle.
Drogan: "Cartwright only climbs the top turnbuckle for one thing."
Nigel: "Is now the right time?"
Instead of a Cartwright Crush leg Drop as many would expect, Cartwright surprises everyone by attempting a Swanton Bomb towards the grounded Trent, looking to crush the abdomen!

Cartwright was speeding up, but as he was about to take flight, Trent would interrupt the flow. Flopping on the top rope to derail Cartwright's plans before he could enact them!

Cartwright thought he could go for the kill, but Trent isn't having it as he wobbles the top rope and causes him to land on his crotch, his face telling the story!
