Nuke lowered his body and looked to drive his shoulder in to the abdomen of Drako, trying to catch him against the ring apron.

rolling to the outside was instinctive, but probably not the smartest choice, as now Nuke rams him into the ring apron, which is now the one thing keeping the Soaring Dragon standing

Nuke gritted his teeth as he put some malice into those strikes, now keeping Drako standing with his shoulder. He then looked to transition and lift the Dragon on to his shoulder, aiming to ram him into the ring post!

The champ finds himself lifted up onto the shoulder of Nuke and now heading face first for the ring post. Desperate not to have his face smashed in, Drako shakes and shimmies his way down to get behind Nuke, attempting to push him with his own momentum into the post instead

The momentum was truly shifted as Nuke found his own move used against him, his head and shoulder smacking into the post!
Dropping to a knee, the ref ran over to check for blood.. none just yet.

Drako had actually fallen to the floor from his own effort in escaping. So now he pushes himself up and pushes his hair back out of his face. Honestly he has to let out a sigh of relief because that could have gone badly for him. Still time to get back to work, as the Soaring Dragon looks to grab Nuke by the head and pull him around a bit, aiming to slam his head into the steel stairs

The stairs clattered with a sprang as Nuke's head collided with them, and at this point a slight dizzy feeling came over him for a moment. He was sprawled out over the steps, almost completely at the mercy of the Dragon.

the champion realizes he'd be best served to take advantage while he can. With Nuke sprawled over the stairs, Drako reaches under the apron and pulls out a steel chair. This is a first blood match, and some bad blood has to be spilled to win it. Time to make an effort, as the Soaring Dragon looks to bash Nuke's head in with the chair against the stairs

This was almost a Déjà vu moment here, as Drako smacks Nuke's head with a steel chair.. this time against the steel steps!
The sound of bone in between steel was deafening, as the ref rushed to check Fusion again.. no blood just yet.
Nuke slumped down but turned his body, looking up at Drako with glazed eyes, a spaced look on his face.

brutality is the name of the game tonight. No way to even fake sportsmanship when in order to win you gotta make a guy bleed. No blood yet, so on the match goes. And Drako decides to swing for the fences with the chair again, once again aiming right for the head.

Whether out of pure luck, or instinct, Nuke dropped forward at that moment to avoid the chair shot, leaving Drako nothing but the steps to hit. He landed at the Dragon's feet, gripping his boots at this moment.

Drako missed that shot, which was unfortunate. He'd put years worth of animosity into that shot. After the chairs rattles off the stairs, he lets it drop as he realizes where Nuke is. An idea has hit him, something he's probably never actually done but can conceivably pull off here. Why not pay a tribute to his brother, the original force behind the Damone and Fusion beef? He reaches down to pull Nuke up, aiming to lift him up for a Tombstone Piledriver right there on the floor

The crowd almost went silent in those moments as The Soaring Dragon looked to drag The Redeemer to his feet. Nuke tried to utter the words,
"You don't have to do this, Drako.."
But those words fell on deaf ears as he was lifted into the air, in position for the Tombstone Piledriver!

Drako has the man in position. He could be nice. The fans are begging him to be nice, don't drop their hero on his head.
JR: I've never in my life seen Drako do this move. This is a Jarel staple but with all that has been done in this match so far, this just isn't needed.
King: It's a first blood match, JR. You gotta do what you gotta do, and these two men hate each other. Give it to him!
"I may not have to do this, but I'm gonna."
With that, the champion would leap into the air as he attempts to really drive that point home with the leaping version of the Tombstone Piledriver

There was an almost palpable tension in the air, as time itself seemed to slow in that moment. Drako leaped into the air, coming down hard with Nuke on his head, his entire body jolting as it rebounded off the cold, hard, and unforgiving mats on the outside of the ring.
Fans at ringside were speechless as their fan favourite's eyes rolled into the back of his head, the ref rushing over to check the damage. Nuke was barely with it.. but there wasn't any blood yet, although he looked almost split open across his forehead from the impact, welts and bruises coming forward.
The ref let Drako know that the bout must continue..
