Nuke looked up to see a flying Hiro, soaring through the air.. and then he came crashing down upon The Redeemer!
The impact sent both men tumbling back against the barricade, as a chant broke out around the arena.
Ho-ly s**t! Ho-ly s**t! Ho-ly s**t!

Hiro's shoulder slammed into the barricade, and that was a sure-fire way to keep him grounded after the impact. While he was satisfied with the damage he'd done to the God before him, it was all but washed away as the pain radiated throughout his back. He held onto his shoulder and kicked weakly at the barricade as his tightly shut eyes and gritted teeth were displayed in a close up on the titantron, a way for the arena to share in his pain if only for an instant. The ref rolled out under the ropes and checked both men, making sure there wasn't a very serious injury, seemingly being waved off by both and thus beginning his ring out count with a one as he himself re-entered the ring.

Nuke cursed under his breath after the ref did a quick check, then bounced back in to the ring to begin a count.
One!
"Bloody ref out here looking to end the match early"
Two!
Fusion groaned as he rolled to his side, arching his back and using a hand to press against it as much as he could. The pain seared through him, and he knew that Hiro was now pulling out all the stops.
So.. this was where the match was really about to begin.

Hiro began to move a little bit from his completely grounded position as the ref reached a three count. He and Nuke had just taken a serious amount of damage from his reckless move, but at least they were officially on the same page now: this was truly only getting started and both of them were gonna come out of the match worse than they went in. As the ref's count got to five, Hiro had begun to stand using one arm to push up the barricade, keeping his left arm clinging to his side as his shoulder radiated pain. He could feel already that he wasn't gonna have as much motion as he'd like to going through the rest of the match, but for now, he would need to return his focus to Nuke and getting back into the ring.

Three!
Nuke struggles but gets to a standing base. He looks over at Hiro as he holds his lower back.
"We're not ending this with a count out, no way in hell."
Four!
Fusion walks over to the ring and rolls in, rolling back out again to break the count.. and drops to a knee, his back still with searing pain.

Hiro's eyes caught Nuke getting back into the ring as the ref was about to shout out five, but then he rolled right back out. The ref would scold him, and shake his head, beginning his count all over again. Hiro leaned against the barricade and shook his head. Did Nuke think he wouldn't get back into the ring in time? There was no way Hiro would stand there and watch himself lose the match by count out, not a chance. Hiro remained unmoving breathing heavily as he kept staring at his friend, motioning behind him. "You shoulda just stuck in the ring...lets get it back in there, buddy." Hiro would take a few steps forward, away from Nuke, trying to re-enter the ring but keeping his guard up.

Nuke looked up at Hiro as he spoke and entered the ring, and grunted as he got himself back to a standing base. He walked over to the barricade, to a young kid wearing a Nuke Fusion shirt, and leaned down to him. He put his forehead against the kid's and spoke to some words to him, before standing back up.
Slapping hands with a few of the fans at ringside, Fusion was taking a few moments to regain his composure and fitness here. He had been training for months before returning to the company but, even then, he was getting on in years and matches could end up taking a toll on him.
The ref continued his count as Nuke turned around, walked up to the ring and slid under the bottom rope. He looked up whilst leaning on one knee, wondering what Hiro's plan was.

Just as the chaos had begun at ringside, it came to a rattling conclusion as both men cautiously and perhaps gingerly re-entered the confines of the squared circle. Hiro breathed heavily as just the pain was enough to distract him from autonomously breathing -- his shoulder would need to be checked by doctors have the match, no doubt. He would keep the left arm hanging to the side and stepped towards Nuke with a hand up in the air, trying to close their gap quickly. It looks like it was game on once again.

Nuke got to his feet stepped forward, the crowd roaring in excitement for this match. The aura in this arena was palpable, almost electric.
Reaching out with his hand as well, Fusion went to accept a lock-up, and would attempt to drive Hiro towards the far turnbuckle, digging his boots in to the canvas.

Hiro wasn't expecting Nuke and he to lock hands again, and certainly didn't think Nuke would be the aggressor -- Hiro's plan had been to kick Nuke in the side of the leg when he got close enough, but the legend before him had a different plan. Hiro was forced backward and eventually found his back hitting the turnbuckles, a pain radiating from his shoulder blade. He scowled at Nuke but remained unmoving, the ref instantly telling Nuke to get out of the corner. Looks like the zebra was in top form tonight.

Nuke was gritting his teeth through the pain at this point in the match, and so relented easily when the ref looked to split the men up. He had accepted some kind of fate upon himself early in the match, an inner redemption that he felt he needed.
But that competitive streak also kept him needing to stay on top, needing to win this match. As he stepped away, Fusion gave Hiro a few steps and then beckoned him towards him.

Nuke's moving away from Hiro allowed him, naturally, a moment of reprieve -- he held himself into the ropes with his aching back and kept his right hand hooked to his left shoulder, stepping out from the corner. "Fine, buddy...you want your redemption, I'll make you earn it!" The words escaped Hiro's lips like steam releasing from an overworked engine, and the Ethnic Enigma shot out on his still kickin' legs attempting to drive a knee into Nuke's gut -- if it connected and he doubled over, Hiro would try to wrap his arms around him attempt not a gut-wrench powerbomb -- but a gutwrench suplex!

Nuke watches as Hiro comes towards him, but doesn't expect the incoming knee, which forces him to double over. The crowd cheers for Hiro as he grips Nuke and.. delivers a spectacular Gutwrench Suplex!

Hiro flatbacks to the mat as the suplex connects, he himself shocked that he not only had the strength to do it, but that Nuke was caught with it. He hadn't expected it to be a successful attempt, but he'd take it. The Ethnic Enigma, with pain in his shoulder still throbbing and with shiny dry blood obscuring his face, would try to hook Nuke's leg and steal the win rather abruptly!

The ref slides across on the canvas and the pinfall came in..
One!
Two!
T-
A kick out before a three count, but Nuke was clearly feeling that - and most definitely both competitors were feeling the fatigue that comes with a high intensity match like this.
