It seems like the cheap shot would pay off. As much as he would like to goof around with the champion. Adam looked to hook the head of Kofi and looked to lift him up and to drop him back on Cole's knee for the kneecap brainbuster!

Kofi felt the grip around his neck and looked to halt Cole in his tracks, sending blow after blow into his stomach!

The brainbuster would connect as Kingston would crumble from the maneuver. Cole looked to cover Kingston, hooking one of the legs, hoping that this could be the end already!

Just like that things were looking grim for the champion as he was hit with the maneuver, falling to the canvas like a ragdoll! The referee would slide into the chant as Big E & Xavier would be looking concerned!

Kofi would throw the shoulder up! The crowd would cheer for him as he wouldn’t be out yet and his New Day brothers would be relieved as well.

Kofi wasn't done yet. He needed to be worn down some more. Cole would roll behind Kofi, looking to prop him up and place him in a seated headlock.

Kofi would be placed into the headlock immediately trying to release Cole’s grip on him as he would begin fighting for air! Xavier & Big E would be yelling at Kofi to get out of the hold, beginning to slap the canvas in intervals making the crowd chant behind them ”New! Day Rocks! New! Day Rocks!”

Cole would begin to shake his head to each side. Whether it was saying no to the New Day Rocking or in an attempt to just silence the crowd so that Kofi wouldn't get up so fast, it didn't matter. All that mattered was that Cole continued to apply pressure to the head and neck of Kofi to try and maintain the hold!

Kofi would be struggling to free himself from the hold as Cole kept applying pressure but he would feel the canvas being hit from Xavier & E and how loud the crowd were getting behind him! He looked to change tactics, sending multiple elbows into the side of Cole’s head until he was to release him!

The elbows would strike the side of Cole's head. Each hit stirring him more and more until finally he couldn't take it any more and released Kingston

Kofi was released from the hold as he crawled forward to his feet before jumping up and running to the ropes in front of him, rebounding and returning with a soccer kick aimed at the chest of Cole!

Cole would have had his chest struck by the soccer kick. Causing him to fall back first to the mat!

Kofi finally gave himself breathing room from Cole but he decided to not stop there! He would turn and run to the set of ropes adjacent from him and rebound, stopping right in front of his downed body and turn to face the crowd. Wanting a little revenge from earlier, Kofi would loudly & proudly yell out along with the crowd ”NEW DAY!” before turning bacc to Cole and attempting a Boom Drop!

As Kofi dropped. Cole looked to kick the legs of Kofi coming down and try to send the champ back on his neck and head
