The cannonball connected and the crowd erupted in to a cheer, as The Man of the Hour got back up to his feet and put his arms out in an eagle motion. Many fans around the arena mimicked the action, which genuinely put a smile on the young man's face.
Looking around him, Avari now realised that he had no opponent in the ring. Time to switch it up. Dropping and rolling and out of the ring, Fusion had a decision to make. Keep up the damage on DJ, or move to the veteran Cyrus.
Avari contemplated for a moment, then starts heading towards Cyrus, looking to get to him and bring him up to his feet again and roll him in to the ring.

Being out for a few moments as the two younger stars went at it in the ring was long enough for someone to forget there was a third competitor. Avari was not one, and went after the veteran when Dean was no longer in his sights.
Lifted off the ground Cyrus looked to catch Fusion by surprise by lifting the man up into a snap scoop powerslam!

Avari thought he had all the momentum in this match, but clearly there were times when just stopping and resting on the outside was going to be beneficial. Even if the Prince of the Canvas was sure that he had the best cardio out of the three men competing, nothing beats a good rest.
The powerslam connects, leaving Avari wincing in pain on the mats outside, the crowd with a mix of cheers and jeers, depending on who they were rooting for in this match.

The Lion wore a smirk as sat up. Being in the business for nearly twenty years, it helps to know when wait and when to strike. They weren't quite done on the outside, as he wanted to get Mr. Fusion better acquainted with the poorly padded floor. Grabbing the young man by the belt, Cyrus look to pull Avari back onto his feet and into position for a vertical suplex.

If one slam wasn't enough, Avari was hoisted up by the belt of his jeans, before being lifted and slammed back down to the mats with a vertical suplex!
He groaned and held back a cry of pain, arching his back with fingers pointed outwards from the sensations that he was feeling.

The Lion sat up almost immediately after the impact, wincing from the pain in his own back. Hopefully he didn't pull anything with that one. Resiliently, Cyrus picked himself off the floor and looked to lift Avari up with him once again, this time attempting toss him back into the ring.
Time to get some wrassling in!

There wasn't much fight back from Avari as he was lifted again and rolled in to the ring. He takes a slow roll to the center of the ring, getting up to his hands and knees, still feeling the impact of the slams on the outside of the ring.

With Avari in ring, the Lion leapt up onto the apron, watching his opponent carefully as he prepared for his next attack. Waiting for Avari to rise to his feet, Cyrus would spring onto the top rope to launch himself for a flying forearm smash!

Avari is still reeling slightly from the pain in his midsection and back as he gets to his feet. The crowd seems to be anticipating something as he stands up, but Cyrus is nowhere in sight right now.
Fusion turns and .. Forearm Smash!
Avari is slumped to the canvas, taken down by the high-flying maneuver!

!The forearm connected, cheers erupting from the fans as both men hit the canvas. The Lion gazed up at the fans as he lied on his side. Not quite on the phenomenal level, but Cyrus had something special in mind for the follow-up. Rising to his feet, he would grab ahold of Avari's legs, looking to setup for one of the moves that first made him a champion, the Sharpshooter!

Avari suddenly feels his legs being grabbed, and looks across to see a submission getting locked in!
The Sharpshooter is getting close, as Fusion - a student of submission himself - attempts to reverse it in to a LeBell Lock!

Caught by surprise, Cyrus was pulled into the LeBell Lock!
The Lion struggled as he was forced onto the canvas in the crossface lock. Slowly he rose to a knee before attempting to roll over and reverse into a pin attempt!

Avari couldn't stop the momentum as he soon found his shoulders against the mat. As with Dean, he decided to hold on as long as he could.
One!
Two!
Th-
Fusion breaks the hold and lifts his shoulder for the count, relieved there as that could have been a quick finish to what is set to be a blockbuster match.

The Lion rolls away as soon as the submission is released. Sitting on a knee, he held his arm for a moment before giving a few shakes.
Shooting Avari a grin, Cyrus gave him a nod.
"That was a good one."
Pulling himself back to his feet, the King of Beasts held his hands out, waving for the young man to get up. "What else you got?"

Avari smiled and nodded back, he had to admit that this back and forth was particularly interesting from a technical point of view. He reaches out with his hand and fingers, planting his body as low as he can get it.
If Cyrus moves to take the tie-up, he will attempt to move quickly around him and wrap his arms around the veteran's waist.
