Grand Entrance: It was suppose to be a grand entrance. Was being the key word here. The sled was all ready at the top of the hill. I climbed into place, and took a deep breath. The snow covered hill extended out before me. I pushed off. Down the sled went. Right until it hit a bump and dumped me from the sled, leaving me to slide 2 feet face first in the snow.

Grand Entrance: Dawns never liked to get too much attention - good or bad. But the goal here was to make an entrance, so she would give it a shot. Eyeing the patch of ice, she took a deep breath. Here goes nothing! Taking a running start, she hit the patch of ice with both feet going.
To her great relief, she didn't fall flat on her face, nor did she end up doing anything worthy of attention. Neither overwhelming nor underwhelming. It was the best outcome she could have asked for as she faded back into the background.

Grand Entrance: 'He's going the distance, he's going for speed', the thought entered Daeril's mind as he leapt onto the ice with a whoop. Seems that flash of childlike exuberance was enough as he did indeed seem to keep going, and going and go until finally his body just slid to a stop a few feet short of the twenty mark. "Yee haw! Would you look at that!"

Grand Entrance: There was just something so magical about winter. The sounds, the sights, the ... ice? Tefla looked over the sheet of clear ice with a critical eye and the creatures that cavorted around. Well - if the ice was there for the sliding, why not indulge a little? Backing up for a respectable running start the air burned in her lungs as her legs powered her forward. At just the right moment she jumped onto the sheet of ice and slid forward - arms milling like windmills before she came to a stop. "NAILED IT!" flew from her mouth just as soon as her feet went out from underneath.

Grand Entrance: A small cat slides down a nearby hill on a toboggan only to smash face-first into a tree immediately after entering the arena. Fortunately he is light and comes out unharmed. He pauses to groom himself and pretend like everything went according to plan.

Grand Entrance: The results were expected -- sledding was never something I had tried in the past, and I'm not the most, err... athletic. It's the thrill that matters, anyway! I went up that hill and did my best, even if I managed to tumble myself right into the snow within seconds of kicking off.

Grand Entrance: Sledding down a hill, pretty average, hitting a jump and flying face first into the snow. Not bad airtime but not the worst either, a bit more than average but not stupendous.

Grand Entrance: (15) "Oh this is gonna hurt..." Kea frowned eyeing the ice for a moment before taking a deep breath before stepping out onto the ice. At first, all was calm, each footstep crunching in the still air as her breath fogged up her glasses. 5 yards, then 10, 12, 13..or dear. She could feel the traction on her boots getting slick as she began to slip and slide. Trying to hurry, she was able to stumble forward a few more steps before she went down with a yelp. Lying dazed on the ice, she blinked a few times before just groaning. Whatever, they could roll her off the field or come get her come spring. Whichever came first.

Grand Entrance: The first yard was met with slipping. Yards 2-15 were mostly slipping around and attempting to find the way on the ice. Then there was sliding back 3 yards, up another 4, back 5, and only after managing to make it to the edge and slowly make the way up there did Bros finally make it. Only halfway unconscious.

Grand Entrance: "Alright, here goes nothing," Teig muttered under her breath, squaring her shoulders and shaking out her arms and legs to get the blood pumping. It was a dash for the ice, a small hop, then stick the landing with bent knees and lean into the motion--
Too much lean. Knees also objecting, the attempted ice surfer toppled forward onto the ice. As if that wasn't bad enough, the inertia continued carrying her forward and the impact of the fall somehow added a spin to her movement. She finally came to a rest on the other side...headfirst in a snowbank.
