While a long bath after a hard day of working with her personal-youma, Tallulah, did help, Laven still felt battered and beaten as all hell. Under her uniform she was a kaleidoscope of colors, even her bruises had bruises and she was positive her scales had them too. Her magic was able to mend the smaller cuts and scrapes but there were some that would just take time to heal. Until then, however, she'd have to be forgiven for walking without the sense of urgency or purpose for a while. Slow movement, that's all she'd be able to manage at least for this evening. Funny how she'd emerged from the battle with Radon relatively unscathed, and yet it was the feral beast she had chose to bond with that left her more battered than anything else. Trial and error, it was a process, but right now Laven was wishing she'd picked a more pocket-sized beast instead of something almost twice her size and more than double her own mass. "Hmm..." wonder if there's an officer here that could teach me how to ride a horse. An animal that wouldn't put up a fuss if she put a bridle on or god forbid a saddle until she could get used to the different gates. Her icy-blue glacial gaze scanned the faces of all the officers that had arrived before her and smiled when she saw General Aquamarine and Jet standing over by Queen Laurelite. It was hard to tell from a distance, but for the sake of humor, she pictured Aqua with touch of pink on his face while he chatted away so easily with the Queen. Perhaps he was drunk, or just more comfortable in this kind of setting, either way, it gave her hope that he might be a bit more approachable so she could apologize for before. A thought for later if she caught the two of them away from the Sovereigns. Over near one of the tables she spotted a small group of corrupts chatting an officer and... a civilian? Curious however, she supposed it wasn't entirely unusual since some officers did live in the barracks and couldn't be expected to remained powered 24/7. Nonetheless, her stomach churned with the idea of approaching them, interrupting their conversation to say hello, and for a long moment wished Lopezite were here to go over there with her. Yes, it was a childish thought to consider, to hide behind her General and let him be the one to talk. Definitely not beneath her to use him as a sacrifice -she cleared her throat at the thought and quickly amended- means of meeting other agents. Either way, she pulled out her tablet to shoot him a quick message, hoping he was powered so she wouldn't have to teleport out of the Dark Kingdom to use a telephone and call his cell. Quote: Lopezite!
Where are you??? The party is today and I don't see you here...
Please join me. I don't want to be alone here. SOCIALIZING IS TERRIFYING! wink Lavendulan smiled at the message then hit send and stowed the tablet away for the time being.

“I… um…”
Roselite didn’t know which part of Kamacite’s ramble he should focus on.
Should he deny that he was busy? He technically wasn’t. It wasn’t like he needed to clean up after people, he just did it because he thought it was the right thing to do. He liked to make things easier for people, if he could.
Should he question why in the world Kamacite thought he was concerned Kamacite might bother anyone? There was probably a lot to unpack there, more than Roselite would ever understand through a sad, drunken rant, and while he didn’t mind listening, it also didn’t feel right to let Kamacite spill his guts when he wasn’t fully in control of his faculties.
“I… You don’t have to worry about me,” he said, picking his cookie into bite sized pieces. “I like the work I do. If it means the people with more experience and superior skills can see to their missions without having to worry about the menial tasks when they get back…”
Roselite shrugged, unsure where he meant to go with that thought. He looked from his crumbling cookie to Kamacite.
“Are you sure you want to be here?” he asked. Maybe it was because Kamacite was drunk, but he didn’t seem happy. “I can help you home, or… or we can go hide out in Captain Bloodstone’s office. He’s not scheduled to get off until later, so you won’t have to see him.”

Lilith laughed, at Albite’s bluster and Eion’s assurances.
“It’s true, we do die when we’re killed,” she said, and she patted Eion on the shoulder, with more than a bit of amusement. “Just pulling it out isn’t fatal, but doing so in the wrong place….that definitely can be.” Like that fiddly idiot down in the Rift. Lilith wasn’t sure if she’d escaped; she hoped so, in spite of herself, but it was hard to know. Especially since if she was alive, she’d wisely chosen not to show her face.
Ah well. In the past.
In the present, she could feel eyes glancing over them, and she looked to spot Lavendulan— the half-youma from the Rift. She gave a cheery little wave, and a beckon, as an invitation to join them.
Right in front of her, though, there was a problem both amusing and in need of solutions. But Lilith was a problem solver, and Albite’s move to soothe the server’s ruffled ego was step one, but Lilith had a step two. She put on her most charming smile, the one she’d honed for flirting with the camera, and stepped over next to the server, dropping into a conspiratorial stage whisper that she was sure was plenty loud enough for Eion and Albite to hear.
“Like my colleague said, I’m sure General Faustite,” emphasis on the title, “didn’t mean to offend. But as a half-youma, he has unique physiology. He needs quite a bit more…mm, fuel? Let’s say? Than us ordinary folk, so we’d appreciate it if you left that lovely platter of crab puffs, and—if you don’t mind—could you bring us a few more things?”
Just to smooth the deal, she reached into sub space, produced her wallet, and pulled out a $20, which she rolled up and tucked into the pocket of the Lieutenant’s cute little blouse.
“We’d appreciate it ever so much, and I’m sure the General will thank you.” She turned to Eion, batting her eyelashes. “Won’t you? Sir?”

Lt. Mourite
His father was here.
His father was here.
His father - the arrogant SOB - was here. As an officer of the Negaverse. Because of course he was. Not only did Sloan have the connections the General Sovereigns probably needed to fund this hospital take over, but he was part of the damn army. And now he knew that Mourite was part of the Negaverse. The Negaverse had been his damn escape from his father and everything mundane, and now the damn man knew who he was under the power of Chaos.
To say Mourite was less than thrilled to be at this particular little gathering was an understatement. He'd already drained two glasses of champagne, avoiding the gaze of his father - so smug and satisfied about this development - and kept to the back of the pack. He decidedly couldn't get wasted; that would be inviting his father to grab hold of him, but the less sober he was, the easier it was to ignore the ********.
Stars, was this really necessary?
He thumbed the whisper stone in his pocket , pulling on his mother's memory for strength.
Stop panicking! I can't, I'm Panakin!Quote: Mourite is open for interaction. His father, Sloan, is a no name Negaverse Agent NPC who's v wealthy and an a*****e.

Lt. Leifite
Dealing with Ridon could have gone worse, all things considered, but she still had all her limbs, she hadn't really broken anything, and she had a healthy respect for youma now. Moreover, she decidedly wanted one. Yet she wasn't exactly allowed to get one. At least, not until she was promoted to Captain. Whenever that particular thing would happen. It obviously wasn't happening right now, or any time soon, and that bothered the hell out of her.
Surely she'd proven herself by now? She'd dealt with the Pandora's box issue, she'd gone oversees to help, and she'd even helped defeat Ridon and get the scales needed. So why did she not get called in to gain the next rank? It was frustrating. Generally by this point in her normal life, she'd have accolades aplenty.
But no. No, apparently she was doomed to be a lieutenant until she died.
Yet, Leifite clapped and cheered when she needed to and raised her glass when necessary, and put on a good face for the General Sovereigns. Once again, she didn't seem to see her General anywhere - though the lack of Ashanite at a formal Negaverse function wasn't unexpected honestly - so she kept to herself for the most part. Truth be told, she really wanted to go introduce herself to the General Sovereigns, but would that be presumptuous? Possibly.
But if she did then she could maybe get that rank up faster...
Which mostly led to Leifite staring at the General Sovereigns and trying to gadge when would be a good time to go talk to them. The Space Cauldron One mildly beat up looking Lt is staring at the General Sovereigns kind of wanting to talk to them but also not Quote: Leifite is open for interaction!

Eion RiskEion swatted Albite in the arm as soon as he heard the words 'say please'. He needed food, but that didn't mean he should have to beg for it. And for all of Albite's obvious bullshit, the Lieutenant seemed half past amenable to the idea. Like she was expecting him to get down on his knees, hands together in prayer, and plead her until she set the platter on the floor for him. Which stoked his ire even more.
"You're more useful as a corpse, you know that?" Eion glowered bitterly. Looked knives up at Albite's face, for all the smugness he saw there. Thought he was winning, the half-dressed b*****d. Too bad he wasn't smart enough to know what winning was.
Winning was stuffing his face with crab puffs come on b***h just give them up they're not earning you money —
except that they were, because Lilith was using dollars and influence to make the problem go away. That, paired with his unnecessary name drop, was enough to elicit a change in response.
"Oh," the waitress Lieutenant murmured, turning pale. "You're that one." She made no move to dissuade Lilith — she needed that money if she wanted to have cell service for the next month — and she was glad enough to wash her hands of this whole affair. She gave Albite a curt "here," shoved the platter in his direction, and started off for the back where she could kick out the alcohol instead.
Swirling his wine glass sloppily, Eion thought he could prove how coordinated he still was by taking a swig while reaching for a crab puff. He'd gotten through a third of his wine before he realized he should be reaching for a crab puff, then stopped drinking the wine to reach for the crab puff, then remembered he was supposed to do both, then gave up because he couldn't eat a crab puff and drink wine at the same time.
But he could drool violently on himself and eat a crab puff at the same time, he discovered imminently. At least Kamacite wasn't watching. Eion was convinced that boy was the only human in the entire Negaverse that still respected him.
But Lilith was beckoning to someone else. Lavendulan if he remembered right. Awkward to meet this way; at least he was in civilian glamour enough to make like he never met her.

Captain Prehnite
Green limned gaze roved the crowd for agents of past, for one in particular, saw a lack of flowing orange braids and sighed for it. Spotted some from the rift, wanted to speak with Arseno in particular, his position was known, a plague doctor in uniform, but also a real one? Prehnite wasn't above hitting up someone out of office hours for questions - especially after the rift - especially considering the nature of the event. Also? He'd never learned what sort of doctor the man actually was, if any, it would've been nice to have a colleague to talk chemistry with...or a colleague to talk with at all... Occasionally he'd glance back, search the crowd for Hatsya, if she was still at the table, if she was alive - there were no screams, no death, no one being stabbed...likely things were going to continue to go fine... So busy looking from his one newly acquired subordinate, burdened himself with thoughts of - please don't let her stab anyone - don't let her panic - let her simply come get me.To the visage of black that outlined the doctors form which he made his way towards. Called out to the man "General Arseno, are you bus-" prehnite was distracted enough as waved, that he'd missed entirely the billowing pink and black glittery drapery of yet another Generals flowing skirts. How his purple heel caught in bunch of the fabric on the floor; had him stumbling and dumping the remaining champagne in his glass all down her front, spilt over her like blood; light, bubbly, alcoholic blood. Could only stare dumbly and say "Apologies, I didn't see you there...surprising with all the pink actually?" truly it was, because Sylvite was so much pink and glitter. Hard sometimes to believe she had the ranking she did, carried it like gossamer sparkles. Soaked sparkles now... stari_maga You look thirsty sylvite~ SSBrosB General Arsenopyrite - Is there a doctor in the house?! Prehnite might need one.

General ArsenopyriteHe thought he heard his name being called. Or at least part of his name. He did learn that there was a Lieutenant that could also shorten their name the same way. But any confusion would have to be addressed later. He could see a Captain coming towards him when he looked to see where the yelling was coming from and he couldn't help but look on as the Captain managed to spill his drink on Sylvite. One of the good things about their uniforms was the easy cleanup, but that required powering down which they couldn't do here. He sighed and walked over to the two, unsure of what the other General's reaction would be. He wouldn't be surprised if she attempted to stab the Captain with one of her daggers. He wouldn't deserve it, but Arseno wouldn't be surprised. He had to agree with the Captain that the other General was hard to miss. But there was such a thing as tunnel vision. "We can get something to help clean that up if you want Sylvite." He had heard her called that at least. He couldn't remember talking to her however. It had been too long. He looked at the Captain. "Were you calling for me?"

General SylviteIt was a chain reaction. One second, Sylvite was just sitting there, carefully balancing her tray of treats in order to best kinda hide her face. Then, there was someone's foot getting all tangled up in her skirts. It was a Captain's foot. He was getting stumbly. Instinctively, Sylvite raised a hand against the spray of champagne that was coming at her face, like that would do something. It turned out not to do anything about the champagne, but it did upset her careful snack balancing act, and then instead of just getting wet she was also getting pelted by a small pile of miniature cupcakes, and worse than that some mozzarella sticks and a big helping of marinara sauce. There was frosting on her cheek. There was frosting on her skirt. There was marinara sauce all over her fancy jacket, and there was champagne everywhere. Earlier, she'd been looking at how prettily the champagne bubbled in its little flute glasses and wondering if maybe it'd be worth it to give alcohol another shot, with her 21st coming up in a couple days and everything. When she was suddenly drowning in it, she quickly realized that the bubbles were a lie. It was disgusting. The alcohol smell made her want to gag. She coughed, then dragged herself to her feet, glaring at the Captain who'd just given her a bath. " Dude," she hissed, and she had to take a breath to keep from getting really mad. "I'm not that little." It was a lie. She was five foot on a good day, and way smaller than that when she was curled up in a pile of skirts trying not to be seen. "And I wasn't, like, in the way." That, at least, was true. The other General was at least being nicer about it, and she nodded at him. "I guess napkins or something," she said, trying to brush off some of the frosting at least, but she didn't sound too convinced.

Captain PrehnitePrehnite stalled for a moment, open mouthed, and wanted to say - well - sorry, maybe, possibly? Wondered if it was him who shouldn't have been drinking the champagne. Here, he'd instructed Hatsya to stick to water, and yet it was he who was mistepping all over generals dresses. Stared vaguely at his emptied glass, turned the thing in hand like it'd betrayed him, even and wondered at the quality of it? Whether it were high grade alcohol, or if he'd simply become a lightweight who'd had too many... Doubted that immediately, and wondered at the fact that it was this generation of recruits who were splurged on. Where had their ceremonies been? After all the chaos, descents into the rift, and the opening of the school. Years of commandeering young minds and milling them into the negaverse at speed. Yet here, for this? For them? The acquisition of a necessity that they should've had access to since the inception of the barracks themselves, for this they broke out the good stuff!?Thought of the irony of christening the opening of a hospital with festivities overflowing with libations and well catered eats... "You weren't, and yet somehow I managed to trip over you, didn't I?" eyed Sylvite as she hissed at him, and gave her the exact opposite of immediate apology. The remedy to her situation was far easier than scrounging for napkins, surely. That and he doubted napkins would undo the thorough smears of thick frosting that coated the rest of her, nor the sauce, nor the cavalcade of other colorful stains that she'd collected from his errant step... "She can simply...the uniforms are magical you know? My apologies General, but just change." an uplifting of hands and raised brow. Brushing the minor incident off to turn his focus on Arsenopyrite, whom he'd wanted to speak with before stepping all over the pink and gossamer drowned General. If it'd been her foot, or her face, something injurious, maybe then he would've stepped up to offer proper condolences a bit more thoroughly. It wasn't as though her outfit were truly ruined though, even if her mood was. "Yes, actually...."

Albite wheezed, didn't bother to smother the sound of his mirth. He was instantly enamored with the Kelpie. Lilith was a smooth thing. Quick with the charm, and oooh the look on the little serving girls face. Emotions that ran over her as she shoved the platter into his hands and ran past. "Wait, he didn't get to thank you yet!!" called at her retreating form, wondered how ever they would get Faustite to practice his manners if everyone who heard his name reacted like that; though Albite found the whole of the thing ******** priceless!"Aww, firebrand, you'd care enough to use my corpse? Kinky~ Are we talking rift bait - or..." filthy whispered thing as he watched Faustite try. Try and fail and ohgod he was going to die from lack of oxygen. Smother out quicker than his Generals flames when submerged. He'd never ascribe cuteness to the man, never utter such a thing, but he'd damned well think it. Think it really hard, and really loud, let the idea echo around in his empty a** skull. The cute picture his boss made; burned the image of Eions internal fight with his own needs into his brain; grinned unabashedly at the mans movements caught between drinking wine like he'd drown dry without it, and getting at the crab puffs he'd so vehemently demanded. Albite immediately wished Nembus were around, to take pictures, to document extensively, and later provide living, breathing, proof to the fact that Faustite made a fantastic drunk. Insofar as he was concerned at least. "Ooh, a dragon! Who's she?!" Saw scales, horns, and blue, and practically cooed as he joined Lilith in beckoning Lavendulan over. The more the merrier, that was how parties were supposed to be! He'd net Faustite some friends one way or another. If not friends? Then fond memories for himself. Hoped maybe the spitfire wouldn't remember the whole of the evening, or more importantly? Would only forget the parts where his subordinate had been a menace.

Lepidolite laughed again, the same boisterous laugh that made it hard to think he could have been upset by anything. “Oh, I can’t say I make a habit of getting picked up in bars. No wife, unless you count the Negaverse, but I’ve got a whole school of kids.” Kids, that he was obviously proud of judging by the way his eyes lit up when Aqua mentioned them. “But now that you mention music, I think I would like to dance. Next time,” he promised, and looked around the room. “I bet the acoustics here are unbeatable.” He was very clearly entertaining the thought, but looked to Fafnir. “What was that you said about Senshi? We’ve got plenty of good ones,” and he smiled at Fafnir like maybe he was among the list of them. Back to Aqua, “Who hurt you?” “ Oh,” Laurelite cooed, and her lips pressed together in another smile as she nodded to Jet. “Is he why you’re so worried? For a moment I was afraid it was me. You have nothing to apologize for. A little celebration is nothing to be ashamed. As long as everyone’s keeping their weapons away and keeping their clothes on, I can’t imagine we’ll have much trouble tonight.” She seemed contemplative as she looked around. “Perhaps no champagne next time. But we’ll have to see how tonight ends. I’m enjoying myself so far.” Though Axinite seemed like he was staying out of the way and busying himself with straightening up, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t paying attention to the party. He listened, he observed. He noticed Leifite’s curious gaze. Axinite wasn’t anti-social by any means, but he’d had a lot on his plate recently, and large social functions were a bit extra draining. And yet, between Leifite’s condition and the way he was quite sure she kept looking at the General Sovereigns, he drew himself away from his cozy little corner. He smiled politely. “Lieutenant Leifite, isn’t it? Are you looking for someone?”

General AquamarineAquamarine tipped his head to the side and laughed. On any other occasion, it might have been a good look on him, but he was drinking, so rather than being attractive, he ended up looking a bit maniacal.
“Who-... Who hurt me?” he said, hardly able to breathe through the hilarity, much less speak without sudden gasps and drawn out lulls between words.
With his entire body consumed by laughter, Aquamarine stumbled forward. He liked to think he wouldn’t trip and fall even without Lepidolite there, but the General King certainly made for good support. Big man, that Lepidolite. Bigger than Aquamarine, anyway. Very sturdy. Probably gave great hugs. Like a bear, only not like a bear, because Aquamarine wasn’t afraid he’d be mauled simply for touching him.
Aquamarine meant to put a hand on Lepidolite’s shoulder, just for a moment, to keep himself upright, but his hand landed against Lepidolite’s chest instead.
“Do you mean for fun or for real?” Aquamarine asked, mouth stretched into a grin that might have been a leer if alcohol didn’t make him look demented. “How much time do you have? Because both are long stories that sort of tie together, but it all really boils down to me, young, beautiful, and defenseless, watching one of our agents die the day I was recruited.”
The laughter and the smiles instantly fell away. Aquamarine drew in a breath, thrust the hand holding his champagne into the air, and gave a toast of his own.
“To Captain Lignite! May he rest peacefully knowing his legacy lives on!”The Space Cauldron He will pretend none of this ever happened the next time he and Lepidolite are in the same room Whimsical Blue I am so sorry Fafnir has to witness this

Being acknowledged by the General King was gratifying. Fafnir offered him a smile back and leaned to murmur.
"Super Fafnir, sir." He said respectfully. Not the most elegant introduction, but possibly memorable? Maybe not for the best reasons though...
Blue eyes widened, watching the young general... lean into the General King. There was a growing sense of... second hand embarrassment as he watched what was happening, shifting uncomfortably.
"I, ah... see someone I need to talk to, General-King. If you'll excuse me?" It was not a great way to go about this, but he gave an abbreviated bow as he slipped away, putting distance between himself and the train wreck happening in front of him. He could try to talk with the General King later, maybe. Hopefully.

Super NembusNembus was around. She wasn't sure why. Perhaps a sense of devotion she was unable to quite shake even though the concept of going anywhere near Negaspace and the Rift was practically giving her hives. Perhaps it was an inescapable sense of curiosity; she wanted to know everything about the news and note it for herself so she could tuck it in her back pocket for reference later whenever she needed it. Perhaps it was in hope that she would see something interesting or be able to forge new connections she could use to ground herself. Instead, all she was getting was fear. She found herself staring in the back of the room, wide-eyed at the presence of all the general-sovereigns, and quite possibly wanting to find some way to entirely melt into the floor. As soon as possible. Nembus stayed away from the drinks - never liked alcohol, at least so far as she remembered, considering it had the possibility of clouding her memories and she already had memories that were cloudy enough - and occupied herself with the small appetizers. She didn't know where all the little crab ones had gone; disappointing, but nothing she couldn't survive. She noticed, slowly, that the general-sovereigns seemed to be becoming occupied; perhaps she could slip out or leave before anyone noticed she existed. Probably for the best. She had the news--apparently the Negaverse owned a whole hospital now, because of course they did, because why hadn't they owned one sooner--and she had accepted it and she was ready to get out of the viewline of any general-sovereign as soon as possible. She wasn't sure why they terrified her so deeply. Perhaps it was because she knew she wasn't nearly as loyal to them as her position implied she should be.
