Day # 46Theme: St Patricks Days Time spent: 2h  Comments: I initially drew him to fill up the whole page but he looked so daft being a massive leprechaun I shrunk him in the printer before I coloured him in and added the details. Now he's all small and adorable. Much better!

Day # 48Theme: Medium Challenge: Uncommon (lino print) Time spent: 3h  Comments: I'd forgotten just how MESSY lino printing is! So, I knew I had a kit somewhere that I bought years ago thinking 'oh, I'll do some of that later'... 2 hours later I've finally sorted out my art (junk) storage, removed all the kid crap and arranged everything neatly. The rest of the day has been cursing and sucking stabbed fingers and scrubbing ink off the kitchen table. I started with the fairy design (in the spoilers) But I was a bit too enthusiastic with my gouging and lost all the detail. So I tried a much simpler free-styled design and the results were much better smile I think I could have done a better job with bigger lino blocks; the ones in the kit were 10cm square and super fiddly to work on. I might order some bigger bits once the kids go back to school and I have time to proper art again smile Overall, happy!

Day # 51Theme: Art Request WiP Time spent: 2h   Comments: Gutted that I didn't have time for inking today, but I don't want to rush this one so I'll just plug away at it in my own time and hope that the intended recipient is patient wink Something odd happened to the pose when I traced it out to get a cleaner sketch; will have to fix those legs and the missing right hip. I know if I carry on tonight though I'll mess it up. My hands are still cramping from Saturday xp

Day # 54Theme: Crocus / Ink Time spent: 1h   Comments: Drew the first one and hated it. The purple ink was so thick it looked black so I gave it a wash with in and a brush and that brightened it up a bit but I didn't really like it. So I used up the leftover ink that I'd watered down and doodles some freehand crocusesesesesesesessssesss and I really like how they turned out! I've not done ink washes before; I think it's definitely something I'd like to learn more about smile

Day # 55 Theme: Alice in Wonderland Time spent: 4h ish Comments: Ordered new pens and they sent me the brush ones instead of the felt tips and I didn't notice till I opened the box >.< Not sure I like these very much! Ah well. Too late now. Spoilers because there's a caterpillar which I think is probably a bug.
