Water dripped of Meiling's body as he crawled onto the sandy shore. He wasn't sure how long he had been swimming or any indication of where he had landed. All he knew for sure is that he pushed himself out of the water and inched closer to land, the fins on his body slowly turned into human features. Thankfully by some miracle he wasn't completely naked and instead wore some kind of swimming trunks.
"I wonder where I am." He sighed to himself as he stumbled in his newly aquired legs, swaying as if he was a drunk man. He tried to get a grip on the gravity around him. It had been some time since he'd been in his human form. He knew humans often dressed in clothing. He would have to find some.

The man was thankfully still close by, just enjoying the water before he resurfaced, coughing a bit and rubbing his eyes a tad as he chuckled. "Aghhhh... that's gonna sting for a big." He stated aloud before he swam backwards towards the shore. It did not help to be blinded but after a bit of rubbing, he started to blink, the regular burning sensation of his retinas readjusting to the air quality and light over lake water was getting to him as he could see some..... lanky man getting out of the water. The way he walked seemed rather..... awkward is the word for it for good ol Saleria as he swam closer and placed his hands on the grainy surface. The sudden touch of warm to his body's cold hands caused him to wince as he stood up in the water, shaking the sand off of his hands before looking to the barely clothed wet man. "Oiiiii! Everything okay with ya?!" He called out to him as the man seemed to be close to his own clothing on the land.

It took a moment for Meiling to grow accustomed to the sound coming through his new human ears. He turned around as a voice called out to him. "I'm fine! I swear." He then attempted to turn around to look at the person who was calling out to him, only to fall face first earning himself a mouth full of sand. He pushed himself up as he spat the sand out as fast as he could. The sand tasted awful. He scooped a hand full of water and rinsed his mouth as he tried to stand back up.
"Everything is fine. I am just a normal human. Nothing to worry about." Meiling blushed as he tried once again to follow the flow of gravity. It had been some years since he had been on two legs. He saw a pile of clothing near by. He went to reach for them. Since there was no other clothing nearby it seemed like a good idea at the time. He bent over to reach the shirt that was in the pile. He hoped they were in his size.

The wet man stated he was fine, and swore to it, causing some mild confusion before he watched the man eat it, causing him to rush getting out of the cool water onto the warm sands. "Ack! Ah ow ow!" He was stating the small parts of pain from stepping on the sand as the man spat out sand and then promptly took in some water to rinse his mouth of the sand before he got back up. His own feet finally adjusted to the change of temperature as he got closer to the man as he spoke about being a normal human. He didn't really stop the man from picking up his own shirt.... or more of the fur rag he used as a shirt as it went around the neck and rests upon the shoulders. Depending as to how wide Meiling's shoulders were, he'd probably get his shoulders slightly held down by the fur and leather. "A normal human who doesn't seem to mind the taste of Lake water or using someone's shoulder covers. Heh, my name's Saleria, who might you be?" He asked of Meiling while going to pick up his fur and leather skort that he shook the sand off of. As of right now, they were both standing in the lake's light, in nothing but their undergarments with one obviously more muscular than the slender man before him.

Meiling's face turned beet red as he began to run his finger on the grament on the ground. He dropped it in shock once he'd been accused of taking something that wasn't his. He wasn't a thief. He'd never want to become one. He wondered if something he'd said had given him away. He leaned away from the clothing and brushed a strand of hair out of his eye. "Meiling." He couldn't help but notice the other man was quite muscular. He lacked the kind of muscle that the other man had. He was slender probably spoiled looking. Too pretty to be standing there in his boxers. His eyes turned toward the sea and then back at Saleria. "...I...I am not from around here.." He shivered as the air was starting to make him a bit chilly.
"Nice to meet you...Sal." He couldn't remember the rest of the name. He looked awkwardly away trying not to pay too much attention to the man in front of him. "Do you know where I am?" He probably figure that out before he did anything else to upset anyone.

Saleria tilted his head as the man dropped his shirt onto the ground the moment he was called out for taking something of his, only causing Saleria to heartily chuckle. "Awww was there something on it that scared ya?" He asked, not knowing if it was something in his 'shirt' or if it was his voice that surprised him before the man soon introduced himself as Meiling. The slender being definitely had that weaker body look, but Saleria never judged based on the cover of one's appearance, especially if they were standing there almost buck naked. Saleria reached down to pick his fur rag and swung it quickly once to get the sand off of it. "Not from around here huh? Well then, allow me to make you comfortable." He told the man with a smile as he offered Meiling his Fur Rag once he noticed the shivering. "Pleased to make your acquaintance Meiling. You're in the Wizard's Realm, more specifically on the Campus of Obsidian University. I myself am a bit new here, first day of my semester and I'm out here trying to cool off from today's work." The man told Meiling while he backed up a bit and brought his left hand to his chest. "The school is for the primarily magic gifted race, Wizards, so it's a bit of a hard knock. Tine!" His few years of training the magic word, he briefly engulfed himself in flames that promptly dissapated with an air of steam around him as even his boxers were dried, and a quick patting ensured his lower clothing didn't catch flame. At the time of casting and for the moment, his left tattoo would be glowing a brilliant red and orange.

Meiling reached for the furry rag. "I did not want to be percieved as being thief." Saleria seemed like he knew plenty about the area. Oblivion University sounded like a strange name for a magic school. Meiling raised the fur garment over his head. The garment fit loosely over his shoulders. It seemed the other man was far more muscular than Meiling was. Meiling was a couple inches taller than the other man. His skin had begun to ich due to the fur trim on the garment. He began to scratch at the skin underneath the garment. He would keep it on because it had solved the chills that he had taken hold of his body. Meiling had loose definition of what a wizard was.
When Saleria touched himself on the chest and fire had engulfed him, Meiling gasped in shock. He had reached for the magic that he used to cure ailments. In the next second, Saleria was fine. His garments and body had become dry. A bright glow on Saleria drew Meiling's atention. He stared at it in awe."Are those tattoos, runes?" Meiling asked as he entered Saleria's personal space to see them closer. He stared at them for a long moment. The other man seemed to be fine. Meiling poked him in the arm just to ensure that he was okay for sure. Meiling had a different kind of magic. It was water based and healed others. He'd never witnessed a fire magic like this one while he was in the sea.
"Saleria.. Could you do that to me too?" The chills from being wet had become uncomfortable to his human form. He wondered if magic worked similiarly on lands as it had in the sea. He could feel a magical humm from the sea. He knew that his brother was searching for him and using some kind of magic. Luckily Meiling wasn't stupid enough to re-enter the sea anytime soon. He glared one last time at the seat. Then turned to look back at Saleria with a calm smile. Batting his eye lashes, Meiling leanded closer to Saleria almost touching him. The other man felt so warm and he felt so cold and alone. He was internally hoping he'd just made a friend out of Saleria.

Saleria watched him do so with a raised eyebrow as he stated about being perceived as being a thief. He was confused before he shook his head and smiled at Meiling. "A thief? I'd never call ya a thief." He told Meiling with a chuckle as he put the shoulder covers on and was already scratching himself slightly before he stretched his back a tad with a smile once he was done drying himself off. Then the question came about his tattoos, causing Saleria to look at him with surprise before he looked down at the tattoo on his left hand while Meiling got alot closer to stare at them. "Runes? Well, they were designed by my parents with the Celtic images from the Human Realm. So I guess? But they respond to me and only a few words." He told Meiling before he lifted his right hand to show the Lightning symbol before he turned around to show Meiling his back, with symbols of stone and rocks upon his back. After a brief tour of the tattoos on his body he turned to look at Meiling before feeling the fingers poking his arm.
Saleria chuckled a bit as he had no adverse side-effects, this namely coming from his training with controlling the magic from the fire tattoo. Then, the strangest question was asked of him, causing him to look at him before he looked Meiling up and down. The poor guy was dripping wet so it would be a bit rude to not help him dry off before he slowly reached and before he could touch the man, he was leaning towards Saleria, causing him to chuckle. "Guess you are that cold huh? Then this will be just quick, make sure to hold your breath for a second or two." Saleria warned of him as he placed a hand upon Meiling's back with a bit of a hug and spoke calmly. "Tine." With the word spoken, the left tattoo glowed a burning red and with his mind being the main control for the imagination of magic, he replicated the drying spell with relative ease, causing the flames to engulf Meiling's body entirely for the moment to at least turn the water on Meiling to steam quickly before the flames dissipated, with only a slight sing to the fur of his actually dry shirt being the only damage that Saleria patted out a bit. "There ya go, nice and dry right?" He asked of Meiling while taking a step back as the air around them was now a bit humid from the sudden steam build up in just a short amount of time.

Meiling twirled his finger in a strand of his dark colored hair. His eyes following the complex lines that were the tattoos. The description of the beautiful imprints on the other male’s skin made Meiling lean closer. He almost traced a finger on one of them as the concept of personal space occurred to him. He leaned his head back, his hair swaying around his hips. “Your parents were magical?” He had some experience with magic obsessed parents. He was often sent to battle fields as a child so that his siren song could end conflicts or draw enemies closer. He felt a ball in the pit of his stomach as his thoughts trailed off. He wasn’t there anymore. He’d never have to go back. Never be allowed to without facing death.
His hands clung around him in as he gave himself a hug if it was to prevent further shivering or the thoughts in his head, he wasn’t sure. He felt the presence of another hand on his skin, he hadn’t realized he had begun to stare at his own feet. “I’ll try.” He took a deep breath and held the air in his cheeks puffing them out like a chipmunk. The welcome arms of a slight hug around him made the feeling in his stomach calm down some. He heard as Saleria cast the fire magic that swirled around him. For a second his heart beat picked up as a flood of panic roared through him. For a second he thought the fire was about to burn him alive. He’d never felt anything so odd. A squeak left his throat just as the fire vanished from around him. Oddly enough he felt nice and dry afterward.
He had not noticed the wet feeling coming from his eyes until afterward. He brushed his wrist across his face as he cleared his eyes. He’d never been enveloped in magic like that before but he was nice and warm no. “Thank you.” He sniffled as he shook his head getting himself back in the right order. “If we are near a magic school, then you are a wizard?” He stepped a little back so that he wasn’t so close to Saleria’s body. “Which was is that from here?” His eyes glanced around the area. “Its better if I find clothing.. so you can get yours back?”

Saleria looked at Meiling before he casts his spell while the man seemed entraced by his tattoos. He tilted his head a bt as he noticed Meiling back up before the question was asked about his parents. "Yup, both as Magical as the Sun is burning. My father helped me to gain these tattoos and told me how to use them." Saleria admitted to Meiling with a smile as he recalled his memories fondly of his father and mother helping Saleria with his magic. He focused his mind as he gave Meiling the warning as the slender being was hugging himself and soon, while giving him a half hug, he steam-dried him without much effort before he backed away.
"No need to thank me, but how do you feel?" He asked, pointing out his wrist having gone across his face as he noticed the sniffling too. His family didn't have the greatest of things so he knew the term of sympathy and other people's sorrow as he heard the question while the man was trying to get himself together, causing Saleria to smile. "I am indeed a Wizard as we are near the magic school. And uh... it's this way!" He told the man while pointing off to the east. "An indeed, just be careful now and stay close. I'm sure someone has some spare clothes!" He told Meiling while grabbing his hand, beginning to walk with him away from the lake.

Meiling nodded as he took in all that Saleria had to say. His gaze followed the direction that Saleria pointed past the trees. The landscape in the distance showing the castle that was Oblivion University. Having never been on l and except for in battle as necesarry, he wasn't entirely sure what to do in this realm of magic. A wizard stood next to him. This whole process was new to him. For his entire life he'd been positioned with guards. Forced to conduct affairs with other underwater nations or clans. He'd never lived a domestic life. To say Meiling was born with a spoon in his mouth was put lightly.
He eventually noticed the sachel that had slipped off him near the shore. He rushed over and grabbed it. The sachel was full of items that he'd been gifted as he fled. Gems were precious to him as he was told they could be sold at a high price on mortal land to gain funds for whatever he might need. He slugn the damp sachel over his shoulder awkwardly under the clothing that Saleria had gifted him. A small smaile on his face. " I feel better, thank you." Meiling followed after the Wizard as they left the lake behind them. Butterflies rolling in Meilings stomach, uncertain what he'd just walked into.

Saleria smiled at Meiling before patting his back once he had caught up to him as he soon said. "No need to thank me, it's what I do best to new people," He told him with a confident smile before beginning to walk with him, wondering where to go first, but he soon looked to him as they walked, figuring they would head to the entry yard first to enter the school as he spoke. "Considering you are pretty new here, it is wise to go and speak to a teacher about what to do with you, but I'd rather ask if there is anything you like to do?" He asked, wondering where to actually escort Meiling too as wherever they went, it'd be to make him feel welcomed.
