Moving towards the trees shows the grizzly scene of a dead bird. Getting too close seems unwise, but there's something lodged in the bird's neck.
It's a wolf tooth! Whoever did this lost a tooth while doing the deed, although... something seems strange. It's so small! Could this really have come from such a large creature like a berserker?
It's likely the villain came this way if a clue was found in this direction, but we need something else to confirm it. Keep searching, we've got to be close to a breakthrough!

It seemed that the trail was moving away from the water. Turning his head towards where a wolf has found something, it seemed that a kill was found and something had been left behind. Perhaps now they would be moving away from the lake? Though first, Beowulf needed a drink and he was going to grab one before headed towards the trees.
Another clue had been found! Hell’s tail wagged more furiously when she saw how small the tooth was. Having grown up outside the pack she held no ill will towards Berserkers as a species and the fact that this might prove the killer hadn’t been one of the large wolves made her hopeful. Maybe the pack would see no all Berserkers were bad!
Heartened by the find, Hel went back to the hunt, soggy paws forgotten.

Thank goodness! Someone had found another clue! A tooth! It sure was tiny though. Hmm did the culprit have an accomplice? But now they were well on their way to finding the attacker, this time for sure! Gold decided to keep looking in the nearby area. She was sure there was something here. She could feel it in her bones.

Beowulf wandered over to the killed bird and where the tooth laid along with it. Lowering his head towards the tooth to get a closer look, he was fair new to this area, having no real home of his own. Being a wanderer of paw, though seemed to like this gathering of wolves. Perhaps after this venture he would attempt to join them?
The thought crossed his mind before he pushed it aside and straightened up. Beowulf glanced around once more, hunting for anything that would indicate where whom ever had killed the bird went.
Hel kept searching for clues but none came up. At least she’d found the trail to lead them all here, she supposed. Tracking had never been her strong suit even though she’d gotten lots of practice in monster hunting.

Still she had turned up nothing. She pawed at the ground. She felt a bit useless here. This was a lot harder than she thought it would be. Even more difficult than finding lost or hidden treasure. At least that was her opinion. She muttered to herself as she kept looking for clues.
Wait! What was that?! Over there! She went closer to better inspect what she was seeing. Was it... a clue?!

Gold Rush uncovered a clue!
There's a half bent bush up ahead, and after investigating it, Gold Rush finds footprints! They're unnaturally large, far too large for any of the usual Fallguard inhabitants, and they head off towards the mountains. There's a pass there that, while incredibly treacherous, would lead out of the pack lands.
That's no good! We had best hurry to our next destination. The group gathers together once more, and wasting no more time, they head for the mountains.
That's the final clue! Our group now ventures to the mountains...

The Mountain Pass
The mountain pass is a route much less traveled. The terrain is treaturous to traverse through, with equally dangerous predators that are best left alone. However, the smell of fresh blood wafts along the breeze... That's too suspicious to leave alone, and so it is that our group continues on their path.
The walk in uneventful, but the sight they come across is not. They're only walking for a short time before they find the dead carcass of a puma, torn to shreds until it was almost unrecognizable. These creatures are normally left alone by the pack, given their size and threat to a lone wolf dog. To see one taken down like this is shocking, to say the least.
The body is given a wide birth, no wolf willing to go near it, but really, someone should inspect it....

Now for the third round of our game!

This round is just like our first one - you will be rolling a random number between 1 and 30. You can only roll once in this round. The person who rolls the closest to me will be the one to investigate the body, and receive an additional ticket on top of the participation one.

When the dire wolf found the fresh trail Hel gave a little tip of excitement, her paws dancing in the dirt as the pack grouped up to head on. They’d found more clues, enough to pursue the killer and get a better idea of what they were. The paw size didn’t seem to match up with the tooth size, though. Something odd was afoot!
Hel found herself towards the front of the pack as they set out to follow the new trail. She was used to traveling alone so having a whole group of her pack mates behind her made her feel more confident than usual, which was saying something.
She stopped short in her tracks when fresh blood wafted towards them on the wind. Not far from where they’d stopped was a mangled corpse, feline by the look of what remained of the tail. Ears pricked forward and nose twitching, Hel held her ground for a moment, trying not to let curiosity get the best of her.

Her persistence had paid off. She had found a clue. And a good one at that! Huge paw prints in the dirt. They were far bigger than any she’d seen before. The paw prints lead to a mountain pass. Gold followed the group through, staying on guard the entire time. They hadn’t walked far when they came across the carcass of a torn up puma. Gold’s jaw dropped. These creatures were generally left alone because of their size. To think there was a creature even more menacing out there that could take on a puma by itself. Gold grimaced at the thought. She stared at the body, not really wanting to move any closer. And it looked like the others were hesitant to go near it as well. ‘But someone really should check it out,’ she thought. She debated moving closer.

Tracks! Tracks were the last to be found, soggy and leading away from the lake where the prey these fellows were tracking. Following the rest of the Wolfdogs, Beowulf stopped a moment and glanced at the tracks, these tracks were large. Much larger then any of their own or even that of a dire... Not that he had run into too many of those either, he mostly tried to stay away from those that could be a threat to him. This one had apparently done something to this group. Ears flicking slightly he headed forward again as they headed towards a mountainous path.
Stopping at the back of the group, he stretched his neck some to see over the others and to the reason they had stopped once more. Something laid on the ground, it was large, he wasn't sure just what it was. Not really sure whom he could ask about what was laying on the ground, Beowulf squinted. While he wanted to get a closer look, he didn't want to get yelled at for getting too close to... Whatever it was...

One clue had turned into two, now maybe three? She'd been traveling not far from the water's edge and when she heard. Just a little ways from the water's edge, nearing the tree line, a small creature with a tooth stuck in the neck. Between the thick fur that was at the water's edge, and the tooth - they were on the right track. Finally, came the trail - the paw prints.
Something about this though, seemed odd. The fur was different from any wolf dog, sure - but that tooth. It had been so small. Now these paw prints... They were gaining on their quarry now, and she had no time to sit and rack her brain; after all, the wolf who had sent her here was supposedly small for her breed. Her heart thundered. Surely Eve wasn't the only small berserker?
