"Ready." Katori grinned as she watched her brother charging after Tryston. Poor guy definitely should have seen this coming. She hesitated a moment herself especially when Tryston deflected the second blow and moved away from Taaru's charge. Could they actually do it? Either way it would be fun! Grinning, Katori moved forward to attack before feigning towards the left. Hopefully her movement would make Tryston guard that way when she actually wanted to pull back so that she could allow another of the attackers to land a blow while he was distracted.

Taaru followed up Katori's feint with a stick swing of his own. He was hoping Kukiko would also follow suit. He watched Tryston's movements, knowing his cool eyes wouldn't betray any of his movements. We'll finally beat him! He felt that adding another person would let them win for once, since most of their training was only himself and Katori.

Kukiko's blow was blocked swiftly by Tryston. Though she couldn't be surprised, she definitely gained a new admiration for Tryston's combat prowess. I mean, what good is a hunk if he doesn't know how to use his muscles? She visibly smirked. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. She saw Tryston dodge Taaru's next attack, and the twins were following up with another attack. I see! we all hit him at the same time!
She jumped back as quickly as possible and tried to time her strike with Katori's feint slash and Taaru's stealthy swing. Three on one. Seems fair. She couldn't help but feel her heart pounding in her chest from the thrill of battle, even though it was just practice. This is fun! I should've taken fighting up a long time ago. Though her mother and father may not have approved. What would they think of their youngest girl from a wealthy family fighting like some ruffian? What would it do to their reputation?
The thought distracted her, and she felt her foot slip, and her swing was going a bit wide. Ah! It should still hit him, but hopefully he won't notice... she hoped.

Tryston smirked at the tactics of his assailants. They thought that they could group up and be successful in overwhelming him by numbers. He already knew whom he would have to block for the best defense but the question was how did he deal with the other two? His silver gaze quickly slid over all three of them and whenever Kukiko's foot slipped he took his chance. A quick feint to get Taaru's attention his way and then a twist so that Kukiko's blow would instead land on the younger male's weapon or body, whichever happened according to Taaru's own reaction. Either way Tryston had no time to worry about how their blows would resolve when he knew that he had to quickly twist and hold up his training staff, both hands holding it firmly as he braced himself to take Katori's blow with the hefty stick.
THWACK! Tryston gritted his teeth as he felt the training staff shudder at the impact before he shoved backwards to hopefully make the girl loose her footing before he could reposition and prepare for any additional attacks from the teens.

Oh no. Katori's gaze widened as she realized that Tryston had opted to block her blow instead of simply dodging her. The young iceling was not prepared for the impact at all and so when her training staff collided with his own she swore that she felt her bones shudder. Or perhaps it was her training staff? Either way Katori had a bad habit of putting waaaay too much force into her blows and it showed when Tryston even had to fully brace himself. Her surprise made her lose her own footing whenever he pushed back and Katori had to concede to the pressure. Her backwards steps turned into a stumble and she had to twist so that she could land in a crouch, her staff somewhat keeping her stable so that she didn't simply fall flat on her face into the dirt. Better than last time. She mused before letting out a laugh. "Next time." She commented as she took a moment to collect herself before slowly standing again and trying to dust off her tunic.
Would anyone else want to take some more blows? Katori glanced between Kukiko and Taaru thoughtfully. They surprisingly had worked well together for the short training session. It had made Tryston take them somewhat seriously and Katori considered that a feat. It was better to force him to take a blow than to see him dancing circles around them. The thought made her laugh softly under her breath before she rested her cracked training staff on the ground. Surely Zyphire would be ringing the dinner bells soon enough. Unless he just wants us to keep going so he can eat everything for himself. She joked silently as she took a chance to glance back towards the manor. She swore she could smell the faint aroma of food and she hoped it was one of her older cousin's famous stews. For such a sassy butt he could surprisingly cook well so it was not uncommon for him to take care of dinner for the family while the teens took care of other chores around the house.

Taaru couldn't be surprised that his trainer's quick thinking got him out of that tough situation the three of the kids put him in. Gosh darn it. Taaru could forsee all of what was about to unfold as Tryston dodged his blow, and threw Kukiko off balance, but he didn't have the reaction time to do anything about it. As his swing made contact with Kukiko's arm, and hers made contact with his, he let out an "Oof!" and fell to the ground right on his rear.
After taking some time to recover, he couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Well, that's not exactly how I expected that to play out, but I have to admit, it was pretty funny." He gestured to the welt on his arm. "Wow, Kukiko, you hit pretty hard. I'm definitely gonna be feeling this bruise for a while." He chuckled. She certainly had some natural strength, despite her feminine figure. He laid back on the dirt and stared at the sky for a second to take a breather. "Man, that was fun."

Kukiko's foot was dragged forward by Tryston, and her swing missed it's mark, and landed, to her surprise, right on Taaru. As her blow landed on him, so too did his land on her arm. She let out an "Ouch!", but managed to catch herself. She rubbed the new welt on her arm gently, sending a slight stinging sensation on her skin and around the area. "How in the world did that happen?" She looked at Tryston. "Man, you can really move, hunky."
She couldn't help but chuckle with Taaru. He's right, this was a lot of fun, even if I did end up with a huge welt on my arm. She paused her thought for a moment. "Aw man, I hope my mom doesn't see this! What's she even going to think?" She shook her head and smiled. "Ahah, I'm kidding. I'm sure she won't mind."
At least, that's what she hoped. If she did see it, I hope she'll let me come back after I explain... She thought it best to put her thoughts aside as she found her stomach interjecting with a loud growl. "All this training really worked up my appetite. " She said as she smiled again and patted her belly.

"You did good for the first time." Tryston commented as he reached over to help both of the teens up onto their feet, "We'll call it for the day so that we can have dinner. I'll be back out in the fields by dawn tomorrow for anyone wanting to learn more offensive stances." His cool gaze paused at the nickname of hunky once more but he simply shrugged it off. If that was what Kukiko enjoyed calling him when she already knew his name it surely wouldn't do any harm. It wasn't as if the brotherhood was here to see their captain being called 'hunky' by some teen. It definitely was something he hoped did not spread however.
"Go wash up and I'll see you in the dining hall." Tryston brushed off his leathers once more before leaving the training staff next to a wooden box that was by the stone forge. It had been a good and refreshing day. The trip to the market had been admittedly fun, the apprentices brightening up his mood, and the training session left his body feeling energetic. There was nothing better than a day out with....family and then a good exercise afterwards. Tryston smiled at the thought. It would be good to spend a few days here before venturing into Tale to face the one he missed the most.

"Hunky complimented you." Teased Katori with a giggle as she glanced between her twin and their new friend, "Did you really think we could do it, Taaru?" Replied Katori with a long sigh. Maybe one day when they had trained for like five years straight while fighting wild raptrix under waterfalls or something they could possibly have a chance of at least landing one hit on Tryston. The thought made her lips curve upwards into a teasing grin before she shook her head once more. "I suppose if we keep working at it though I know you prefer the bow. That's something you definitely shine in." She admitted before moving towards Kukiko to study her arm.
"You're right." Katori's lips pursed into a thoughtful pout, "We have some healing ointments back at the manor. I can help put some on the welt and it should disappear in a few hours or so." Her silver gaze gleamed mischievously, "Though if we meet Tryston out here for another beating tomorrow I don't know how quickly any bruises or welts from that will heal." She really hoped Kukiko's mother didn't mind! I guess we just have a lot more to learn about our friend. Some families weren't full of fighters but Katori wasn't certain what that would be like. Almost everyone in her family could hold their ground with or without magic. Her mother had expected them to have bruises or they would be judged for not training or working hard enough around the manor. Katori shook her head with amusement before linking her arm with Kukiko's. "We have a bath house so we can rinse off quickly before dinner if you like. Taaru can go there as well cause I'm sure he's stinkier than us." She couldn't resist teasing her twin, her tongue sticking out playfully towards him before she led Kukiko to the left side of the bathhouse where they could rinse off. Taaru and Tryston could have the other side which was divided for the "men folk" which the manor was usually swarming with. "I had fun too. I'm glad you came with us, Kukiko."

Taaru grabbed hold of Trystons hand with a firm grip and let him pull him up on his feet. He brushed off his clothes and patted his rear a few times. "One day," he said as the iceling walked towards the manor. He looked at Katori and jested back at her. "Hey, at least I don't sound like a pack of wild mammu when i sleep." Then he stuck his tongue out back at her and chuckled. He left his training staff alongside Tryston's and made his way to wash up for dinner, and as the girls separated told them, "You should come over more often so we can train together. It's been a lot of fun."
But before more training, he needed food. Man, I could eat a whole feast by myself right now!

Kukiko laid her staff near Taaru's, and looked at Katori's cracked staff. "Wow, you've got quite the arm." She nodded her head at Katori's statements about ointment and then said, "Yeah probably not, but if I can't avoid more welts, it is what it is." She shrugged and giggled as she was listening to the twins banter. "You two are silly." She let Katori lead her to the bathhouse to wash up. "Food sounds so good right now."
