"A literal chicken was behind this? Really? Well at least it doesn't put another bad mark against Krogans," Captain Shaal muttered then shook his head as the Linnerian was dragged off. "Kanja you're dismissed to go help the other engineers clean up the exposed floor. Don't blab about what was said here to the human though. The queen still hasn't told him, and either she should do so herself or Major or I will for her," he addressed the engineer. He then addressed the other techs in the room and stated, "I hope you're all aware this means we're doing a thorough background search on everyone with clearance codes now so something like this doesn't happen again. When the work day is over later, stick around for interviews." He then told one of his trusted men to send word down to the Major about what had happened in his and the queen's absence.

Hearing the commotion behind him at the door, Inarow turned around in time to see Dean pushing past the two shark like Moi'ree guards.
"Apologies, Sir. He insisted and pushed past," one of the guards said. To which Inarow waved them off.
"If it were anyone else I'd say you need to do your jobs better. As it were, leave him, he's fine," he said, then waited as they nodded and returned to their posts just outside the door before sighing and turning to address Dean. Only to the be interrupted by a gasp for air behind him, as Lolzi woke up and the doctor and staff quickly moved closer to assess and calm her.
"It's alright. Deep breaths. Ma'am, you're in the medical bay. The Major brought you in, you're alright, just breathe; okay?"
Another interruption then came from one of the guards again. "Major Inarow. I'm sorry to interrupt Sir, but Captain Shaal just sent word, Sir. They found out who framed the human and was behind both attacks."
"Both?"
"Yes, Sir. The explosion and also a malware attack that happened just a few moments ago at 1024 hundred, Sir."
"A singular rouge or multiple individuals?"
"A Linnerian with high clearance, trying to erase the evidence files and corrupt the system further, Sir."
"Linnerian? Damnit, that means I get to deal with the paperwork and informing the Pharaoh. Alright thank you, as you were," he said nodding to the guard, who nodded in return before returning to his post again.
Major Inarow then turned back to Dean, glancing to Lolzi briefly, before looking back to him and finally addressing him. "Well now that she's awake and the suspect is attained, she should be alright, yes. She fainted after Shaal and I called her in regarding the explosion. My guess would be her prior health, lack of sleep, stress from today's events, all added up and became too much."
"She missed this morning's injection too because you rerouted her, Major," the doctor then added on.
"That would add to it then. Brilliant," he sighed, rubbing his head lightly. He then looked back to Dean and asked, "How much have you learned about the Moi'ree since you arrived around a month ago, Dean?"

The Captain felt rather stupid for not thinking of that himself. Or at least not enforcing it before another mentioned it. Nodding, he added before the younger Krogan left, "Kanja? You trust the human and he seems to trust you. So for the time being you'll not be on my list of suspects. I'll need you to be my insider eyes and ears amongst your peers. If anyone seems suspicious at all, tell the first guard you see you wish to speak to me. If it isn't just the Linnerian, then they may go directly for the human and the queen next time. I don't want there to be a next time. Dismissed."

Hearing the young man's assumptions, Inarow couldn't help but chuckle lightly and shake his head. He then clapped a taloned hand on Dean's shoulder. "My dear boy, you've got it entirely backwards. She's no fiance, not yet at least. Come. I've something to show you," he said then guided him out of the private room down the rest of the medical bay, to Lolzi's office when she played doctor more than queen. Once inside he shut the door behind them and locked it for privacy. "Sit," he instructed, pointing to her chair behind the desk. Once he had, the old Linnerian then clasped his hands behind him and addressed the A.I. system. "A.I. activate."
"Hello Major Inarow. How may I help you?"
"Access Dean's files."
"Accessing...."
"Give him full clearance to all archives."
"Access...Granted. Dean Kalren, species Human, current occupation Engineer, now has full clearance."
"One more thing," he said glancing over to Dean, before looking from the ceiling to Lolzi's empty desk.
"A.I. Show desk screen..."
"Desk screen activated," the computerized voice said as a familiar glass/led-light panel came up out of the desk in front of where Dean sat.
"Read out the Moi'ree mating ritual information and explain why Moi'ree eyes turn pink," Inarow ordered, holding up a finger to Dean so he didn't interrupt and he just listened. "Whatever the computer doesn't tell you, she will after all this, don't worry."
The A.I. then begun to read out loud the information as the words also popped up on screen, with the occasional picture too.
"The Moi'ree mating. Moi'ree are a water-dwelling species. However, unique to them, unlike Krogan and Linnerian they can mate outside their species with no ill effects. Moi'ree can breed with any race of alien but are also very picky, as most wish to proof they are more than their elegant looks and captivating eyes. That does not mean however, that some Moi'ree can't be romantic too. It is said when a Moi'ree meets their mate, their gaze can be hypnotic for a few moments. Often referred to as phasing or the blink, Moi'ree bond immediately at first glance with their mates. The bond is not officially sealed until after they consummate their bond with one another. Moi'ree have no control over who they imprint on and bond with. However the bond can be denied for a short period of time. Moi'ree have denied the bond before simply for stubborn rejection, but more times than not if the bond is denied it is usual because the Moi'ree in question wants to get to know their mate for who they are on the onside, and vice versa, not because a bond is forcing their hand...or flipper... or tentacle. These types of denials are short and usually occur when their mate is of another species and cultural differences still need to be learned on either or both sides. However short or long the bond is held off though, it will affect the Moi'ree's health. Now bonded, even before made official, the Moi'ree is tied to their mate. When away from their mate for too long, muscular and nerve pain has been known to bother said Moi'ree. Headaches and migraines are common symptoms too. As more time passes apart, not even in distance sometimes just the holding of the official mating, those symptoms proceed to worsen. Breathing problems may occur. Swimming under water may be more difficult; as water creatures swimming is second nature to Moi'ree and as easy as breathing, but two cases have been reported of Moi'ree who denied their bonds, had breathing problems while under water and shockingly drowned - unheard of for Moi'ree in any other setting. Heart race may accelerate while pulse weakens causing dizzy spells, when mixed with stress fainting spells may occur also. Skin is known to pale and lips are known to turn even bluer than original Moi'ree skin tones. There is no treatment for these symptoms only pain killers and optional nutrients in an IV drip system when their appetite weakens. Problems in not sleeping enough and also sleeping too much have also been reported. Along with the health risks of a Moi'ree denying their bond, the longer they hold off making the bond official, the more hormones the body creates. Hormone suppressor injections do exist, but only do so much after a certain amount of time. The highest dose that should be taken daily is 3 injections at morning, midday and night. Without injections, the build up of hormones is similar to that of many wild creatures when in heat or rut. All they will think about and want is to be with their mate until it happens, along with painful cramping for female Moi'ree, throbbing pulsations for male Moi'ree, and overheating for both. With the injection, the cramping, throbbing and overheating disperse and are more controlled, but the longing to be with their mate still lingers - even it is simply hanging out as friends or hand holding, Moi'ree will desperate for an interaction and prefer to be alone with their mate. When their mate is closer to them, their health improves and they feel better both physically, mentally and emotionally. Further away from their mates and the more their health decreases. If their health decreases too much, or if they do tell their mate and their mate rejects the bond, the Moi'ree will die. No Moi'ree has ever on record survived a bond rejection.

Moi'ree eyes. The Moi'ree eyes can shift colors after the bond is made. When the bond is being denied on either end, the Moi'ree eyes become cloudy and foggy and loose their original shimmer no matter their original coloring. When embarrassed or annoyed about their mate or in front of them sometimes Moi'ree eyes turn pink. When their mates well being is threatened their eyes turn a hot pink and can shift to red if extremely brought to anger. Moi'ree eyes usually only ever turn red if their mate and children are threatened, otherwise they stay in the pink zone. If a Moi'ree's mates eyes ever change colors, especially if the mate is not Moi'ree, it means said Moi'ree is either in danger or possibly dying. Grey is danger. Black is death. If a Moi'ree dies their mate will soon follow, and vice versa, and same goes for injury. Though Moi'ree won't take on the same injury, nor will their mate if they are the ones injured, they will feel the pain and depending on the severity of the injury it can make them cry out, fall to their knees or pass out."
The A.I. system then stopped talking, and Major Inarow gave Dean a few moments to process everything he heard and saw.

Back in the hospital room, Lolzi was awake and breathing without an air mask again, but the doctor overseeing her forced her to stay in bed for now on the IV drip and monitors until further notice. She had been given her morning and afternoon injections to make up for the missed one that morning; though prior she did ask the doctor where Inarow took Dean and if he was okay after the explosion, earning a knowing eye exchange between the doctor and nurse present before reassuring her he was fine, giving her the injection, then leaving her alone for the time being.

Inarow nodded in response to Dean's questions, then chuckled lightly when he ran off before he could say anything more. He shut down the A.I. in her office, before following after the younger man. "You just being in the room earlier woke her up. Like I said before I don't think you need to worry." Once Dean entered her room, he stepped in only to take the door handle and pull it closed, "I'll give you both some time alone. Can't say the same for the doctor though." He then headed back up to check in with Captain Shaal, knowing she was in good hands with the guards, the medical staff and with her mate.

Already up from earlier, just resting her eyes, she heard him enter and Inarow shut the door, then felt him taking her hand, she stirred and looked over to him. "Hey," she smiled softly, "You're okay. How's your burns?" she asked.

"I actually didn't wait that long compared to some others," she sighed lightly. "Wait how do you- Inarow," she sighed lightly again in realization. Hearing his assumptions she then looked up at him, and shook her head gently. "No. No. It wasn't cause you weren't good enough. On the contrary, men here have tried, they bore me, they're all the same. You were different, you are different; in a good, refreshing way. I didn't tell you because I know it can be overwhelming for some mates, especially non Moi'ree mates. You just arrived. There were three... three new aliens around you. New place. New home. New food. New customs. No doubt you got some dislike from small-minded individuals too when you went to work. It was already so much, so overwhelming and consuming. Plus the Major and the Captain wanted to see if you were as trustworthy as I believed you were. It would have been far to much information for anyone to come to a new place and that same day o even that same week to find out they could be the next king! On top of that I wanted both of us to get to know each other and like each other naturally not because a bond told us so. I wanted the pull to be natural not just hormone driven, for either of us."

She nodded hearing what he said. "I was only doing what I thought was best for everyone else," she replied. She smiled softly then after his list of compliments and replied, "Ruling should be caring. Not everyone with power understands that. You care too, even if you don't know it yet. You wouldn't have risked your life today if you hadn't." She rubbed the back of his hand gently, "I think more people will trust you after a stunt like today."
