The monster shrieked once and Logos snapped to attention. She screamed again and she immediately stepped protectively out in front of Miss Lesath and Mister Boon-nam. A reflex, and one she valued in moments like these. After all, though she struggled to truly show it, Lesath was her teacher and thereby among the most precious people to her. And Boon-nam, a comrade, demanded her respect and her defense if she could provide it.
And provide she did. Calling her magic to her, Logos summoned a long ribbon and lashed out at the creature.
"Yeah...mirrorspace is sentient to a point, we're mostly sure of that." Unless it was some combination of magic and randomness, which he severely doubted at this point. Kiuchi was sure the place had a personality of it's own, which he figured meant a mind of some sort where inside mirrorspace. He doubted they'd ever find what was behind the thoughts, and feelings, of mirrorspace though he wished they could find it in time.
As they stepped into a greenhouse he kept his dark eyes bouncing around, expecting something to happen, and something did jump out at them - damn it! Stepping back he pulled Fulu back with him, before moving to stand in front of the other. "Looks like you're right Acubens. Someone really needs to find the brain behind mirrorspace and talk with it."
It was rather disconcerting to see their prince tossed with such ease by the plant like monster. He knew Acubens was holding back from using her magic, though others were going for it, he even noted Fulu joining in and putting a gardening tool to use - good! His own magic was safe, sort of, so he went for his hair with his fingers and plucked what seemed to be a strand of hair. Sending forth his own magic...he wasn't sure what it would do to a plant monster though. "Gorgon's strike"
"I've always been lonely - to some extent. It is safer..." Safer to not make connections, to not make friends, to not reach out towards others. There would never be any hurt, any loss, if there was no one there to hurt you or to leave. It was safe and he didn't want to be hurt, who did? He'd already long ago lost his mother and whoever his father was as well, and whatever other family he may have out there. Maybe he even had siblings, or half siblings, out there. The idea, whenever he got to thinking about it, hurt. To know someone he walks past might be a family member...it hurt.
"I'll rely on myself - I'll be fine. I promise." He had been thus far, at least as a civilian anyway. As a senshi he could due with help, at least if Acubens was ever unable to be there, but he didn't want to admit that. He just needed to become stronger so he could stand on his own two feet - alone if need be. He needed wings at his back - his own wings.
Reaching out to place a hand on the others should he shook his head. "If you want a family then do it. Don't hold back because of me. I will be fine. I might have wings by the time you return even." He had no intentions of staying like this forever...not when it meant needing other people, beyond Acubens of course. "I'll be safe." He needed to assure her - to not hold her back. But he couldn't given in and make friends...he just couldn't. It wasn't him.
Pausing as he looked from Acubens to Kiuchi he took a moment to look around. "That explains why I've felt like we were being watched." He'd thought it was those around them listening in. Guess not.
When they did make it to a greenhouse it was only to find a surprise there. White powder for soil and gardening tools...it was all set to grow plants, though what grew in that white mix he couldn't fathom, but the rather oddly colored plant he'd guess was the answer. Only it wasn't a plant, at least not completely. It was a monster, of some sort, and it was attacking them...and soon others were attacking it.
Without much thought he decided to act as well and help out, if his magic could even help against this. He did need to get close, within five feet, of the plant like monster but once he was in range he put his own magic to use. "Heart's Compassion"
What was going on? Everything had started out peaceful, though a bit loud with all the chatter going on, but soon enough it started to feel like he, or they, were being watched. It wasn't a pleasant feeling and it was even alarming as he swore he saw a shadow, just out of the corner of his eye. Something else was here...something that wasn't them. He didn't seem to be the only one to think they were being watched and followed either, not from how others were whispering and acting.
When they reached a greenhouse he hoped they would be safe, that once they left the halls they wouldn't be followed, but something else was here and it was more dangerous.
Everyone was using magic, and a lot of it, and he could do the same but he went for a gardening tool like others. Stepping out from around Logos and throwing the gardening tool towards the flower turned monster, he really did not want to know how that happened, Itokawa was hoping it would do some sort of damage. He sort of wanted to help, though he was still new and uncomfortable with this all, he did want to be a part of the team.
Between the magic and the projectiles, the monster was obviously irritated and a little worse for the wear. Where people were lucky enough to hit him they might notice that he was scratched. But not in the way flesh scratches but rather... the way class scratches.
The way crystal scratches.
With another ferocious roar, the monster flung his arms again, this time lashing out in three different directions as vines detached from his arms to strike.
Arnica released a surprised noise when the beast slammed into him; he wasn't the most prepared for battle and, in coming here, he hadn't expected--well--this. His experiences as a Senshi were limited and a creature of this magnitude outclassed him spectacularly. He'd bruise in the morning, no doubt, but he wasn't dead yet.
...And he needed to stay that way.
He glanced at Kibirev, concerned that maybe she might have gotten damaged, but finding her where she'd been before was a relief, though short lived.
He needed to make sure that she was okay. He needed to make sure they could get out of here.
He might not have been much of a fighter now, but he wasn't a quitter and he wasn't going to give up. He grunted, hand wrapping around his ribs as he forced himself up.
The monster had the advantage of size and strength, but Arnica was going to get him back--somehow. He was still learning his magic, but given the physical strain he was recovering from, attacking with his senshi powers seemed the safest way to go.

...Remarque would have rather been attacked again than watch members of the Court be attacked. His skin crawled with the idea that this thing was targeting anyone else, enraged him.
That this creature of Mirrorspace could turn against the very people working so hard to keep Mirrorspace alive.
A growl rumbled deep in his throat and he clenched his hands into fists. If it were smaller, he'd have pummeled it.
He might, yet.
But for now, he still had magic. Again, he cast it. He'd used it more now, in this single battle, than he had in months. A slightly stronger attack this time, though. He was still warming up.
He'd see this thing broken before the end of the night.
Remarque wasn't the only one getting angry. Acubens watched the monster toss the members of the court -- her family -- across the room without so much as a twitch, pretty much helpless to do anything about it herself. And the only attack that could do any real damage was out of the question. She grabbed a spade from the cupboard behind her and lobbed it uselessly at the creature. This wasn't working -- at least, not as fast as it needed to. Throwing something wasn't going to do anything. If she couldn't use magic...
She was going to have to get her hands dirty.
"Mel, I think we're going to have to go in, what about you?"
The court was doing damage but... it wasn't enough. And the monster didn't seem to be taking damage in the usual way. Instead of torn flesh, Logos caught glimpses of glassy scratches on a body that appeared otherwise normal. Well... normal for them. He caused her to pause, suddenly, and consider what they were looking at.
It's made of crystal.
Logos found herself back at Altea's castle, so far from home, and though she would never admit it... afraid.
Snapping back to reality, she flicked her attack at the monster again, and while it didn't do the same easy damage that it had done to her comrades, it did something.
"We need some better ideas," Logos gasped, sweat popping out on her forehead as she dodged a stray vine.

Monster HP: 71 - 8 = 63 Mithra's HP: 25 - 5 = 20
Mithra cursed herself when she didn't react in time to stop Remarque from getting hit. She cursed again, this time out loud, when she was hit by the vines of the plant-monster again. Well, supposed plant monster. She was pretty sure it was some sort of crystal-like monster too considering everything else here was made of crystal, but she wasn't sure and she didn't care.
It was getting punched.
She slowly got up, ignoring the pain that she felt, not caring about them. If she had hit her head? Sure. But somehow she hadn't hit a wall but had rolled over a few times. The rest of her was aching though. It was a good toss. But that didn't mean it should happen again.
She made sure that she could walk and then run and headed towards the monster, trying to grab one of the vines and or points or SOMETHING and crack it off if possible. Hitting it would be no good without using her power, but she would have had to stand still for that. And besides, she didn't know how much longer this was going to last or even if they were doing any damage to it. She did make a mental note to punch it's dead body or any non-crystal organs if she saw them.
When his magic seemed to do nothing, absolutely nothing, the senshi of gorgon's got worried and perhaps a bit upset. He needed to do something to this monster, to try and help remove the threat. He, like others, noticed the scratches appearing on the beat and that it didn't seem to be normal. Glass...interesting.
Rather than use his magic he went for a gardening spade and threw it towards the beastly monster. "It might shatter?" He asked aloud, looking towards Acubens who wasn't too far away. "It looks like it...right?" He asked, a bit unsure, as magic was still a thing here and it might keep this thing from shattering as glass normally would.
"Fulu - use the tools - keep using them." At least that was what seemed like the best idea to him, at the moment anyway, he just hoped this monster would react like glass - and shatter.
Looking to Acubens he nodded his head. "My magic did nothing to it. I don't think we can use magic...unless it's like yours." He answered, knowing what her magic could do. She hadn't used it on him but he knew what it did. It would be useful here but he knew she wouldn't use it. "I don't think anyone elses magic will do much here." They'd have to resort to physical attacks, and it was a good thing there were so many gardening tools. He would have thought someone took gardening very serious...but this hadn't been a part of someones home, this was mirrorspace. Right?
Pushing that thought around he went for a tool, not caring what he grabbed, and aiming to throw it like a dart at the monster. "I'd like to keep my distance...I don't care to be thrown about like a rag doll." Though he was built, rather well, he didn't think being thrown by that thing would be gentle or anything he could simply shake off.
When it seemed like magic wasn't effective on the monster, or whatever it was, Itokawa became sure that they needed to use whatever items in the greenhouse they could find. It wasn't just because magic was doing nothing but also he saw that the items being thrown seemed to be scratching the creature. Those scratches seemed to be revealing glass, or something similar, underneath all the plant material.
"Like glass?" He asked of Logos, while moving forward the help with the efforts to take out the plant monster.
Grabbing up one of the spades he threw it, as hard as he could, at the plant like monster, hoping his aim wasn't too bad and he'd hit some vital area.
