Scorbunny – or Puck, as he was now – tilted his head from side to side, taking in this new ‘trainer’ of his as the man rose back to his feet.
"Hello new team addition." The Rotom fluttered down to the Scorbunny, vibrating rapidly. Puck squinted and squeaked as a sudden flash of light caught him off guard. "Thank you for your picture! I will catalog your data for future reference." Bixby vibrated again as the pinwheel spun on its screen.
"P-U-K."
"Naw, it’s Puck. P-U-C-K. Git it right, Bixby. Arceus help us." Nicky snapped again. He heard the Rotom buzz again, repeating the incorrect spelling before proudly chiming ‘Welcome to the team, Puk.’ Nicky looked back to the Scorbunny apologetically.
"Dinnae mind Bixby, Puck. It’s an eejit," Nicola commented, glaring daggers at the Rotom as he did. Puck opened his mouth to speak (much good as that would do) when yet again he was assaulted. A random pamphlet traversing on the windy tides slammed into the poor creature’s face, blinding it, and causing panic as he flailed in terror.
"Ah hol’ on!" Nicola scooped the bunny up and tugged the paper off the fretting pokemon’s face. "There yew go, s’alright now." With temporary terror averted for the second time (poor thing wasn’t going to stick around at this rate), Nicky took a gander at the paper that had assaulted his new starter, eyebrow quirking in curious delight.
"Spring parade, eh? Now dinnae that sound like fun." He held the paper up so that both Bixby and Puck could see. "What say give a’look? Use it as a lil’ ice breaker for yew." He set Puck down and gave the bunny the paper to read (if he felt like it), beginning to lead the way back toward the train station.
"Partaking of this activity will put you behind on your journey by 2 days, 12 hours, and 32 minutes. Would you like to-"
"Naw one asked, Bixby. ‘Sides, life’s too short to be borin’. We’ll make it up, dinnae worry!"
