Miriam went away satisfied and shouldered her bag as it was getting heavy. She came to the next house and knocked, where a beleaguered-looking mother with one infant in arms and a toddler clinging to her leg answered the door. "Trick or treat?" offered Miriam. "Cute costume," said the mother, and dumped a load of candy into her bag with a yawn.
Boy, the folks in this town sure were generous! Miriam crossed the street to get to the next house and stashed a few of her favorite candies in her pomegranate purse so they wouldn't get lost. Or incase she got hungry. She walked up the steps to the house and knocked on the door. "Trick or treat!" she said dutifully. The person inside smiled and wordlessly dropped the candies into her bag, and then shut the door. "Huh," said Miriam, looking into her bag. Then shrugged and went on her way.
Frankie looked at her empty bowl and at her sweet innocent babbin. What was she doing wrong? It seemed they didnt like fish kind around here. She was sad for her baby. He wouldnt get to know mortal candy. She had to keep trying. For her baby's sake.

Reattaching her arm was easy. Calming her son, Jipeto down after the people screamed had been hard. You would thing they'd never seen someone with detachable limbs. Maybe now that she was fully intact, they'd be nicer to her baby.

So, the land pae were nice to someone with all body parts. That was good to know. She was afraid that Jipeto would be scared to come aland after this. Trudging toward the next house, she stuck out the baby and smiled.

Miriam continued on to the next house. When she knocked on the door, a large spider made from papier mache fell down from above. She screamed and jumped, spilling some of her candy in the process.
Staring down at her now empty bag, poor Frankie lumbered back towards the lake. Land pae were cruel. Maybe she could find her baby some oysters or something.

Meanwhile, in another part of town, Twog grinned and winked at the people handing out the candy. He was dressed as....well, himself. If that wasn't enough to get candy, he wasn't sure what was.
