Yo'ichi looked at his creation in the plugged sink, there was something beautiful about the chemical process that he was witnessing. Though the majority of the work had already been done, there was one more thing that needed to be done. He walked to the sink, looking at it as if it held all the secrets...all the knowledge that he had been searching for. He put his hands up to his armpit within the confines of the sink. The mixture was warm and his skin began to tingle from what he assumed was excitement. He swirled his arms around in the liquid, continually making sure that they were completely submerged. He noticed the small bead of sweat that began to form on his brow and he knew that it was starting to work.
Though the poison began to slowly course through his body, there was something that eluded him. 'How would he be able to make this faster for his opponent?' Keeping a thought was difficult, though possible... it required more brainpower than he had at the moment. He continued to let his arms soak in the fluid. He had no idea how long this was supposed to happen maybe he would debate that while his arms were soaking. This was his path, a way to forge a new beginning for himself. He had always strived to make himself the best; whether it was with his bloodline or poisons in themselves... he wanted to be the greatest. He was trying his best to keep his face and other points of entry limited. He had no idea what the poison would do in contact with his olfactory senses. There was no giving up for him, he knew that he would regret doing this if there was nothing to gain... but there was everything to gain. A sense of personal power was something that he had always wanted. A Yamanaka's power laid in the fact that they were able to manipulate emotions, but he wanted more. Not only did Yo'ichi want to have full control over the emotions and thoughts of others... but learning poisons would give him control of the physical self of another.
He began to feel the muscles in his arms start to quiver and shake, he knew that the poison was free-flowing in his system and now there was nothing to stop it. He waded his arms further into the substance and the cramping and seizing became worse. It took everything in his power not to fall to his knees. Though he knew what he had signed up for, there was no telling how this was going to effect him in the long run. The skin on his arms began to discolor and change as the poison started to stain and infiltrate his bloodstream. The nature of poisons was not new to him, as he had studied them while working in the flower shop. He always convinced his dad to keep the poisonous and carnivorous plants.

There was quite the conversation on the other side of the wall. Melancholy noise sounding in both tearful grief and remorseful warmth. Distressed confessions in company. Sadayo was generally out of the loop with just basics to follow up on therefore it wasnโt too difficult to reason why she was feeling like an outsider. Furthermore, the outsider perception had scattered her thoughts for some sentiment that truly carried meaning and comfort. Failure is a savage, acrid sting that came in many forms and commends itself to go in hand with varied crises. Loss of control and frenzied murder, however, were two concepts Outsider-Sadayo didnโt have the first-hand experience in. What would she greet them with? How could she greet them? Interrupting anyone engaged in the heartfelt scene beyond the wall ought to have a good reason for doing so!
Sadayoโs sights flickering away between the partyโs heartfelt exchange from the open door. Lowering her head, turning away, as she was toying with the thought of withdrawing from this opportunity. Her one and only superior was in there; the very thought of being just steps away was seeming to make Sadayoโs shoulders tingle with anxiousness, eagerness, with just a sparse flutter of hope. Lahlilโs voice was a relief even out of context.
In context, however, Lahlil was offering terrifying conclusions that should quickly extinguish the antsy sense of hope in Sadayoโs chest. At this point, the villagers were made aware that the situation of an absent kage was being taken care of and their well-being wouldn't be overlooked. The proverbial towering pillars of essential priorities and their hulking power looming, leaning ever closer over Sadayoโs own head even after steadying an imminent risk of instability.
As hospital staff passed, Sadayo was beginning to actively feign interest in the open door despite the voices. She was pretending to divert her attention into an ornate, round compact mirror plainly in her palm with her arm angling out through the cape. The act of staring into a mirror was a charade she couldnโt stand idly by doing for too long. She sighs softly before retiring her reach with the mirror. With a few, short paces forward she wordlessly presented herself with only a soft, distinctive metallic tap of the closing compact to announce her in the doorway. Her stare, while looking as polished and refined as the luxurious yellow and black cape hiding the most of her torso, was exceptionally as weary as one who was without anything but had just about everything to say.

Kai popped the bubblegum in his mouth as he hurried to the hospital, almost late for his appointment with a consultant or something. He hadn't quite been paying attention but he knew it was expected for him to help out now that he had established his abilities as a medic. It cut into his time to work on his rapping abilities, but he figured he would get in trouble if he shirked anymore shinobi responsibilities in pursuit of his craft. "Hiya! I'm really kinda late for the appointment with uh, somebody - oh, I don't remember their name, darn it - to talk about medical stuff because I passed with high marks in the chakra control category when I graduated from the academy and even though I've been a genin for a long minute, they really want me to pursue the arts more formally because the jutsu that I learned is no good if I don't have the formal medical knowledge to back my chakra control or whatever they said." Kai, after speaking a mile a minute, didn't seem out of place at all and looked at the secretary expectantly as if they would be able to follow his partially-explained train of thought easily.
He was hopping on the balls of his feet as he waited a second for a response before continuing anyways. "I didn't really want to come to the hospital for iryojutsu practice because I feel like everyone here is so sad and I would be able to help them better by cheering them up with some of my rapping but my mom said that I couldn't do that and if I waited any longer to fulfill this request to come learn at the hospital that she would ground me. She thinks the academy will think I'm not the sharpest cookie in the jar if I keep not showing up but that's okay because I know I can prove them wrong, it's just that there's no glory in some of this boring day-to-day ninja stuff like there is in moving hearts and inspiring people with my bars." He looked really pleased with himself and his explanation, which described nothing in a helpful manner for the secretary.

A student learning the trade of jotting down the babble of professionals was staring back at the most chipper, fast-talking so 'n so they've seen all day. The student was young himself and therefore spared Kai the bulk of an otherwise lengthy, uncertain stare while being subjected to a downpour of accelerated chatter. "Okay," he replies with a slow nod trying to sift Kai's life story for any mention of a name. "You know it's a good habit to be on time? Just call this banter from one student to another, yeah?" The student minding the desk lowers his gaze to collect a clipboard, from the massive metal clip, he yanked a notecard from the stack. When the student raised his head again but only to smile upon making a joke at Kai's expense, "it's also good habit to introduce yourself when you're reporting in for something. Okay let's see." The student scanned over his clipboard. "It looks like Doctor," he drags on to a pause and checks Kai for any hope of facial cues, "Doctor Ma-ki-no? Makino? That ring any bells? Doctor Makino's assistant left a note mentioning a," he stopped and grinned. "Want to fill in the blank?" He waved the note in his fingers and winked. "Fill in the blank with your name. A student named dot-dot-dot who is forty-five minutes late to discuss a potential path in their future."
Kai nodded eagerly to the student taking down his information. "I won't be late next time, for sure I won't. You don't recognize me? I'm Kai Uchiha. You haven't heard my music? I rap all the time down at the cafe on open-mics. I'm happy to give my signature out though, anything for fans - future and current." He winked and accepted the schedule, signing his name in large, overstated lettering. "Doc Makino, works just fine for me. I was told to look forward to the glory of hard work and the Doc is supposed to help me out with that or something. But I'll always be a famous rapper - or I will always be, once I finally am." He gave a confident grin at the student before putting the schedule back down and heading through the double doors - though he had no idea at all where he was going.

Yo'ichi fell from the reaches of the sink in a dizzying sickness, the poison coated his arms like tar and his breath began to tighten. There were no words to describe it, the nausea came and went like waves of sickness pushing him back a forth. The air seemed acrid and dry to breathe in, he found that that tightness in the chest was strong and present. At this moment, he knew that he had crafted something complex and elegant. He rolled onto his back. He stared at the ceiling in all of its strange undulation and iridescence. The motion was making him feel even worse, he walked to the nearest garbage and just sat there. He knew that without the antidote available, he would almost just have to suffer. The initial effects were sickening willing himself to do anything was absolute labor.
Puling himself from the ground, he started to make an antidote that would restore his sense of health. He shakily took the poison that now coated his arms in a strange iridescent shine and looked at it under a slide. The organic substances had been flushed away and all that remained were the alkaloids contributing to his current sickness. Taking a small needle, he began to introduce small amounts of distilled water and a natural rose durative. He knew that the secret was the flowers in the local region. Completely understated and looked at only for their beauty, no one knew that they were secretly one of the more powerful medicinal things would be able to find second to the actual medicinal herb.
He watched as the cellular structure of the alkaloids slowly dissolve into the rose mixture, though the smell of a rose was completely absent. He looked and took a small vial from the rack in front of him and began to partially fill it with the poison. He knew the treatment for the poison but it was something that was only going to be known by him. There was a change in his thought, his obsession with poisons and venoms was completely piqued. He knew that there was more than he could ever teach himself.... what be needed was MORE. As the waves of sickness withdrew like the backing away of the ocean tide; he began to think about how he could make a stronger poison and what it would take. Hokage-sama was intelligent and she would definitely know but he wanted to create something that its creation would be only completely known to him.
'What would make a poison and venom more dangerous?' As if they weren't dangerous enough. Yo'ichi wanted to create something more elegant in design and aggressive. He put his hands together in his lap and looked at them. The 'duh' moment came to him and he snapped his fingers, releasing a small spark of raiton chakra 'Chakra Infused or maybe reactive'. Of course he could do it with his own chakra but he wanted something more. He moved his thoughts from how to make it more deadly to what he knew about chakra in general and his own chakra. He knew for certain that he could project his chakra and sense the things around him, how could put that into a poison. He had a long way to go before it was the end of his studies.

tabHer doubts had lingered, shivering through her body as a cold chill. Coming from a place where she had had so much control for so long, it felt unnervingโfrightening even, to leave her forgiveness up to fate. Yet, when Mina fell into the shared embrace, the kage had been glad that she did. No tears were dripping from her face, but the way the corners of Lahlil's smile turned spoke of all the sadness and relief that had been pent up inside her. Just a moment longer, all she wanted was to hold this moment for just a few seconds longer, to cement it in her thoughts. Light breathes counted the flutters in her hearโone, two, three, and then the moment was gone, and Lahlil was back to her usual self. Steady and calm, her hand pulled Mina further in so that she could nestle her under the point of her nose. The move resembled a cat's headbutt and was the only display of affection that the ex-kage knew, a relic she adopted from the way Celeste used to comfort her with loving grace. Although, she suspected that her jagged nature would never truly be able to emulate the motherly calm that her bat sister seemed to radiate.
There had been a price paid for the life she chose to live after all.
"I'm sorry too." As true as her words were to her, they still felt hollow, as if they weren't able to capture the tempest in her heart. Lahlil wasn't a fool; she could sense the doubt hanging in the air, and apologizing without even addressing the issue behind it was likely to deepen those feelings of betrayal. Still, if the events at New Veralas had proven anything, it was that this path was one she would have to walk alone. "Ah... I know this is rather sudden." Lahlil spoke, turning to Roku and Inohachi. "But I was wondering if I could have some time alone with Mina? I have something private that I need to discuss with her alone."

The girl felt herself beginning to calm down from her hysterics as Lahil held her. Mina noted just how the former Kage seemed to radiate cold instead of heat. And yeth the embrace managed to fill the young girl with warmth all the same. Now that she was calm, Mina was embarrassed to have broken down like she had in front of everyone. She took a step back from Lahil and turned to face Roku and Inohachi. โThank you for being here for me.โ Mina said, bowing low to her friends and comrades. โIt really means a lot to me.โ She spoke rather formally. As she tried to get her emotions under control, trying to reapply her usual mask of hyperactivity and excitement. Until then, the personality that she tried to keep hidden came to the surface. Not quite emotionless, but definitely more calm and detached, like she was still thinking about something else. She meant her words, though, and it became evident when she remembered to put a smile on her face, her usual wide grin that used her whole face.
The smile lasted for a few precious seconds before it was replaced with one of mild confusion. โAlone?โ Mina asked, tilting her head at Lahil. โWhatโs up, maโam?โ
Battlefield Presence โ The user's powerful presence on the battlefield strikes terror into their foes. Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no action for that specific instance of kai.
Lasting Hypnosis โ The user's genjutsu prowess has achieved a heightened level of potency and lingers for longer. The primary sense of any genjutsu that was released using Kai lingers for [1] additional post. This residual effect is minor because the manipulation of the target with the technique has ended. For example, a complete darkness sight genjutsu that was dispelled may leave the lingering feeling that the world is still a bit darker than it is in reality. If a genjutsu used a mental status effect then it will linger for [1] post longer at one level below what it was before at a minimum of level one. Originally level one mental status effects are too weak to linger. The base duration of your genjutsu are increased by [1] post at E-C, [2] at B-A, and [3] at S and above. Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.
Erudite Academic โ You compromise on excelling at one to be proficient in both sealing and sensory. The Academic's body is considered a scroll so seals can be used and stored on your direct body. Your body may be treated as three scrolls equal to their body rank. If you are double class and have a second discipline from this class then you may add the five slots to your mirrored amount of ninjutsu, using these techniques for ninjutsu, sealing and sensory. Fuuinjutsu and sensory skills do not require handseals and are one rank less in chakra cost (Following the one rank max reduction rules) All three of your actions can be used on fuuinjutsu and/or sensory for one post every three posts in combat. In addition, the duration of all sealing techniques and all sensory techniques are increased by two posts. Finally, Erudite Academic Ninja have the ability to Korabo their fuuinjutsu and sensory for 1 action with varying cooldowns depending on the rank of the techniques. E-D - None C-B - 1 A-S - 2 S+ - 3
โฑโฐโฑ Flames of Salvation | The user's effected fire based techniques effected by the active flame are reduced by 5 chakra for every other rank of the technique. ( D, B and S Rank ). In addition, fire based techniques are considered one rank lower against the user.
โฑโฐโฑ Inferno Mastery | The user gains four additional ninjutsu slots to be used specifically for katon techniques per body rank. Additionally, hand signs may be executed with one hand. The user's fire techniques all cause an additional post of burning while adding an additional tier of burning/burns to fire based techniques.
โฑโฐโฑ Fanning Flames | The user's fire based techniques may be doubled in size for no additional cost. This does not effect the strength of the user's fire based techniques. In addition, should the user's fire ninjutsu or clan techniques interact with another fire based technique, the user's technique steals one rank of chakra from the opposing technique. If this overpowers the opponents technique, this technique continues on it's path normally.

โฐ Shuriken Hunter | Rank S | Training The user's scavenging skills ensure that they are always able to find new shuriken lying about and retrieve their used weapons. This ensures they never carry less than 200 small projectile weapons.
โฐ Undertow | Rank D | Training This training focuses on using movement when you attack, carrying that much more force. After this skill is trained, any attack that follows a dodge or evasive technique is treated as a counterattack, and the user's total bonus to agility can be attributed to the strength of the next attack. When this ability is performed it cannot be used the following post.
โฐ Repeating Wave | Rank B | Training The user's training has focused on their agility ability to strike while avoiding harm. Once every three posts, the user may utilize an offensive technique that targets a specific part of the target's body that would disrupt their attack. This offensive attack deals damage regularly but allows the user to use their remaining activations as offensive as well.
โฐ Kyotoryuu Conditioning: Sunflower | Rank S | Training As a result of intensive training geared toward defensive and evasive maneuvers, the Kyotouryuu practitioner can now effectively react to an opponent by converting their speed into an agility boost for two posts with a three post cooldown. This requires no activation or resource cost.
โฐ Double Fissure | Rank C | Training The user is able to perform a very fast 2-hit combination with any physical strikes from this style without consuming an additional activation. The second technique must be executed at or below the rank of the first.
โฐ Moving Fissure | Rank A | Training By using a quick twist of the hips, the user can change the momentum of a kick that has been executed in order to change it's direction completely. Doing so requires half the cost of the technique be paid and the newly directed attack gains an additional [1] point increase to speed per rank of the technique. This ability may only be used once every three posts.
โฐ Heavy Punch | Rank E | Training The basis of the style, punch hard, punch first. The user is able to spend stamina in order to increase the strength of their punches for no activation. For each rank applied, a [1] point increase to strength is conferred.
โฐ Cicada Shell | Rank B | Training After learning the Shadow Clone Technique from the maruton list, the user may cast the Shadow Clone technique in conjunction with techniques from this style to replace mirror images with the clones. Casting Shadow Clones in this manner does not consume an activation.
โฐ Multi-Mirror Image Training | Rank A | Training The user has learned to control their chakra in a fine manner which allows them to create an additional mirror image per rank of the technique it is executed with. These additional images do not increase the strength of the parent technique.
โฐ Elemental Doubling | Rank C | Training The user does a single post of training where they practice combining their techniques with more than a single element. Once completed, all techniques are able to carry two elemental properties. This does not allow for Elemental Bloodlines to be used in this manner.
โฐ Combining Elemental Training | Rank A | Training The user does a single post of training where they practice combining their techniques with their elemental bloodline affinity, allowing them to combine the techniques of this style with their bloodline properties, including statuses inflicted by said bloodlines.
โฐ Live Fire Exercise | Rank B | Training All striking techniques executed by the user double the decreases inflicted upon targets when impacted.
โฐ Gunslinger | Rank S | Training The user has always sacrificed range for power, all up until now. By making their physical punching techniques complex, the user can send dense chakra orbs from their fists to extend their impacting range as well as allowing them to now "punch" ninjutsu. The strikes are now counted as spiritual when interacting with other techniques and carry the user's full stat increases of simple techniques. These chakra orbs range ten feet per rank of the parent technique.
โฐ Four Limb Training | Rank B | Training Allows the practitioner to substitute feet for hands in any Taijutsu technique when learned, and vice-versa. Techniques function the same, regardless of how useful the result may be. Training is typically completed either through meditation or repetition of physical training. โฐ Perfecting Balance | Rank C | Training Due to their various training requiring parkour style actions, the user is more stable. This training allows the user to withstand off balancing effects or knock back effects as though they were one rank lower in strength. โฐ Parkour Mastery | Rank A | Training The user becomes one with their momentum, learning how to harness their body as an almost perfect machine. After completing this training, the userโs agility gain any and all bonuses afforded to their speed.
It seems to ask Kai to speak at all was proving itself as a mistake.The student still had hardly any room to politely squeeze a word. Now Kai was already, cheerily making his way onward. Not wasting a second to get to learning, it seems, and leaving the student to stiffly scrutinizing Kai's showy signature as the young man was just beginning to scrawl down a visitor's pass. The student was dashing about from behind the desk to catch up to Kai. In the "crossfire" of wanting to be a good little rule follower, the student accidentally slaps the visitor's sticker on top of Kai's shoulder.
No fancy identification sticker and no direction. On the scribe's part there was certainly no interest in chasing a jabber-jaw Uchiha. "S-sorry. I'm so sorry," he said, apologizing promptly for his abrupt behavior which sounded out-of-sort for how the scribe was still urgently handling Kai. The student was stepping around Kai, awkwardly, as he was attempting to turn the boy into the correct direction. "That way, I'm sorry, that way. Makino-sensei is that way." His hands changing from pushing to pointing and gesturing Kai to go forward. "Name on a placard on a door with a frosted glass window. You cannot miss it! " Something about fast-talking teenagers didn't sit right with the scribe in training.
The door in question, as Kai was to find, was indeed decked out with frosted glass and a name placard reading: Makino Midori, M.D. The door was open. Rather, the door was open but beginning to close by some unseen force. Then stopped suddenly before it was seeming ready to close before suddenly swinging open again! Inohachi squeezed Roku's hand to have him know that she wasn't going to forget it. She'll give him time. Mina faced them and bowed low as Inohachi took a step forward to hug Mina but stopped herself. Her arms pulled up to her chest as she had to remind herself. "Of course, Mina, we're friends." Inohachi replied wanted her to understand that friends will be there for each other. Good or bad. Inohachi let out a mental sigh of relief when it seemed that Mina was doing so much better. Then Lahlil requested for her and Roku to leave the room. Her heart dropped when it seemed that Mina agreed with her. She didn't trust the previous Hokage but she said nothing. If Mina wished it, she wasn't going to go against it. Instead, she reached and grabbed Roku's hand once again and lured him out of the room. Across the hallway was an empty room with the lights off save for the annoying lights that were by the bed so nurses can see what they were doing while the patient was asleep. "What's wrong...?" Inohachi asked once more, attempting to maintain eye contact with Roku. Focused on her friends had help Inohachi ignore her own pain and mind.

After Roku had finished speaking his piece, he found himself zoning everything that was going on around him, out. That was until Lady Lahlil asked the two shinobi to leave the room. "Yes of course." Roku would respond as he was shaken from his slight haze he had going on. "Mina if you need us, we'll be around." He'd say as he left the room. Unfortunately in his lapse of perception, he really didn't notice Inohachi asking if he was okay the first time. However, it became much more apparent as they left the room when Inohachi pulled him to the side. In the movement passing through the hallway, Roku noticed the new hokage was standing in the room. The teen looked at the girl. "A lot honestly, but I have to speak with the hokage before I talk to anyone." Roku would say, his fingers absentmindedly running along the scroll that contained his mother's corpse. He kept the eye contact, as it was clear he wasn't hiding anything, but he really didn't think he should speak about it in the open. Roku sighed softly to himself and squeezed Inohachi's hand before letting go. "Thank you for checking on me though." The teen would say, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Roku would then leave the room and approach Sadayo, not stopping Inohachi in anyway from stopping from following him. Roku would bow before the new hokage. "Lady Hokage, I know I'm only a genin and I'm not supposed to come directly to you, but I wish to speak with you regarding something that happened that could affect village security."

The genin was way taller than she would've guessed. Roku was essentially a whole human headโs taller than she was. Being a short leader never got old much like being called โhokage ; which was also like a fresh pinch about every time someone has used the title. Her director had a better charm. Through ache of formalities the young man was speaking carefully concerning something potentially compromising village security.
Now, Rokuโs question further promoting an idea. There was a need to pause and review a certain scroll in her pocket. She had been standing in one place for an awful while with her trusted team of appointed agents on the status of things.
Sadayoโs hand is withdrawn, talking her mirror back into hiding and quickly (and I mean quickly) returns to casual gesture for him to pause. With the waggle of a lone finger, Sadayo slipped her hand behind her cloak again after wordlessly requesting Roku to hold that thought or something of the likeness. Despite the minimal ruffles of the yellow drapes, Sadayo was at work fishing for a scroll. A scroll she had no choice but to reveal to read. The woman lowers her sights onto the surface of a partially unrolled spool of parchment with black ink haphazardly describing an urgent list of problems. A list. Sadayoโs practiced expression barely budged with a gentle raise of her brow before turning the scroll away, even further, and rolling it back up. โPardon. You just happen to make me think of something. Iโve been sensing something going off in my bag.โ Based on the contents of the message in her scroll Sadayo couldnโt help but worry that Rokuโs own message was a foreshadow of something else, ir not worse, to come. โCarry on.โ

Inohachi was pleased he came back to reality for a moment but it wasn't the answer she was hoping. He had mentioned there was a lot on his mind but he has to speak to the Hokage before talking to anyone. This caused a frown on her face as she was getting rather worried about Roku. "I understand," whispered Inohachi as he thanked her for checking on him and turned towards the new Hokage. Why did she feel so crestfallen? Her hands went towards her chest as she turned and walk down the hallway.
