Kibirev had wanted to answer her brother. She truly had, though the strange plant had her attention, and as a pale blue firefly came out and gently bumped against her cheek, she rubbed at it. Again, the Eternal opened her mouth to say something, but out of the corner of her eye she saw billowing skirts and a familiar smile. Her head swung around and her eyes widened, an answering smile tugging at her lips. She knew that face well, knew it out of a hundred thousand others.

It was her Queen. Altea stood there, her arms spread out to receive Kibirev into a hug, and the senshi’s eyes lit up at the sight.

“Arnica…Arnica…it…it’s Queen Altea…I…” She grabbed her brother’s hand and began pulling him over, eager to introduce her brother to the woman who had meant so very much to her. But…

Her steps faltered for a moment and she hesitated, her own arm reaching for the woman. How did…how did Altea get here? Did the plant bring her? Had she survived…? Was this how she was coming back?

Oh, but did it really matter?

“She’s here!” Kibirev said again, softly, tugging her brother closer to the waiting plant. “…We have to go to her. You’re going to love her, Arn…I can’t wait to introduce you.”

Dark Mirror Eternal Sailor Acubens
Score: 10

Relief washed over Acubens as Melpomene assured her that he would not be straying far from her side. He had come a long way, but he still had so much to learn. And he was still only her third official protege, after all. Can't ******** it up now...

And as though the universe was reading her mind, the ground began to tremor beneath her feet. Instinctively, she reached out for Melpomene to keep him steady as well, even after she realized there was no danger. No danger of falling over, no danger of the ground opening up and swallowing them, No danger at all. Acubens would have been worried if she didn't just feel so... chill... about the whole thing. Had she been doing this too long? Was she jaded?

Besides, how could something so beautiful be threatening? The leaves had even opened up and released some kind of glowing pollen. Maybe this would be a moment when Destin City was just... beautiful. Not threatening, not dangerous, just... nice.

And then a field of red hair filled her vision.

Acubens tensed immediately.

Not again.

A face which might have been hers in another life smiled at her. High cheekbones and bright golden eyes. His hair was, as always perfectly preened into a pomapdour. His slender body, so like Acubens, was clad in a suit and tie, as it usually was.

He always did hate his Meadowview uniform.

This couldn't be happening again. Not again. Not now. It wasn't happening. Because Mischa had moved away. She saw the moving van take his things -- take him to some far-flung place. Somewhere far away from here. From her. He wasn't here, he couldn't be.

And yet...

"You're not real," she ground out through her teeth.

Mischa cocked his head as though to ask if she was sure. His cheeky smile only widened as he watched her, hands shoved into his pockets casually.

Acubens' eyes felt too hot. She felt too hot. She was trembling as she held on to Melpomene, fingers digging into the fabric of his fuku to anchor herself. It was enough. She blinked once, twice, three times with her breath held and finally, the vision faded.

She should have been relieved...

Corrupted Super Sailor Noctua
Total: 4

No sooner had the words stay close left her lips than the skittish Lieutenant danced off on his own. Again. Noctua wondered vaguely if this was how the older senshi had felt about her when she was new. Always chasing after a puppy of sorts.

"Lieutenant," Noctua called after him, irritation belying her monotone.

It was then that a rustling to her left caught her attention. It took her a moment to comprehend what she was seeing. A snake? No. A woman. With scales like a snake. Hair as black as pitch. Eyes red as coals.

Cinnabar.

Noctua would have called out, but her voice caught in her throat. But Cinnabar seemed to understand. She smiled in that way that sent thrills up and down her spine. She crooked one finger at Noctua and she began to follow.

Until, that was, she noticed something about Cinnabar. Or rather, something which was not about her. The beautifully chaotic aura that always surrounded her Queen, the firely light in which Noctua bathed herself, was not there. And there could be no Cinnabar without that aura. This time Noctua did make a sound. A choked sob as she muttered, "you're not real. You're not real..."

Cinnabar was still missing.

And yet, there she still stood. Noctua wanted to follow but...

Mama?

Fettelite's voice cut through Noctua's hazy mind like a hot knife.

Fettelite

Noctua cursed and pushed the image of Cinnabar to the back of her mind. Though she still saw her, she knew she wasn't real.

Fettelite wasn't having the same control, and neither was his... friend? Boyfriend? Whomever he was. Action replaced the ache in her chest as she lunged forward and grabbed the back of both men's collars. Thought was no more than five foot, heaved with all that she was.

"I said. Stay. Close. Lieutenant. I won't be dying because you got distracted."

She cast a passing glance at the civilian but said nothing to him.

Sailor Lacerta, Senshi of Bandages (( Roll Totals: 4 ))

When one worked with bees one inevitably picked up the habit of checking the local flora that was around. When Izobel had first noticed the subtle shift in the flowers around her home she'd taken note of the strangeness but shrugged it off as maybe being too aware. However in the passing days there was still no explanation that the teen could offer and so she'd taken the time to patrol, discreetly, around the city to try and figure out what could be going on. Her bees seemed unaffected which was the only relief that she could take away from this. However the bandage senshi was still on edge. She'd not been active in her senshi duties since the last large upheaval in her life and truth be told, she was apprehensive about being out once more. There were reasons, she told herself, that kept her from powering up; but in actuality they were excuses. Lacerta was slowly reaching a point in which she found little comfort in her powered guise.

It was perhaps odd then that the sudden feeling of peacefulness descended on the young woman as she contemplated things. A gentle feeling of being guided, against her will nonetheless, to a field was almost welcome. Until that feeling dissipated and Lacerta found random energy signatures overwhelming her. Apparently she was not the only one here.

Her mind cleared for a few precious seconds which was just long enough to register the earth shifting below her feet and to catch a glimpse of a familiar face in the crowd before a sweet smell once again filled the air.

The senshi of bandages had taken to skirting the outer edges of the group that had gathered in an effort to remain unseen but stopped as once more the peaceful feeling from before washed over her. Her eyes tracked the shifting earth and widened in surprise when a giant flower bulb emerged from the ruined ground but at the release of multicolored fireflies her gaze softened. The display was wonderful and even as one drifted towards her the teen found herself reaching up to grasp at one that dared to get so close. Although it was no longer a firefly that she was looking at. A hand that showed its age gently enveloped her own and Lacerta could only momentarily hide the shock at seeing her late grandmother staring serenely at her. A small sob broke from her as she took in the wizened face that was before her. Even as her grandmother gently began leading her forward Lacerta followed, albeit reluctantly.

Was she still powered? How was it that her grandmother would have been able to discern who she was? Questions rolled around in her mind and even as she was led closer to the large flowering plant, vines twisting and coiling the senshi could feel that something wasn't right. Her grandmother had not spoken one word yet and that was unusual. Just too many questions and too little answers. Almost reluctantly did Lacerta let go of her grandma's hand to take a moment to step back. Her grandmother continued to stand beside her, looking at peace and the senshi could not bring herself to turn away from such a tempting vision but was everything what it seemed to be. Bewilderment was the sensation of the hour and Lacerta glanced up to lock onto the familiar sight of wild brown curls before she felt her hand grasped again.

Acubens was here ... but why?

It was hard to think straight and as she felt herself being led forward a few more paces Lacerta began to wonder if perhaps thinking was overrated at this point. Shouldn't she go with her grandma, at least for a little while? What would the harm be? But ... Acubens ...

Resistance began to bubble just under the surface.....

Sailor Ananke
Roll Totals: 8
Broke Free

Looking over at the other Senshi she smiled. "Ah, I agree... I think it would be best if we could all work together. I promise to help you out as much as possible... I'm Sailor Ananke, Super Senshi of Portals." With a scrunch of her eyebrows, she let Arthur's tail go.

"Well, you can always call me if you need to. I happen to be very skilled in the art of grooming." With a quick take, she felt like something strange was beginning to happen... the haze from that led them here seemed to roll back over them.

Ananke squinted her eyes... there was a figure standing a little ways from her... this person seemed familiar... but where... a splitting pain came from her head. "I... know you?" But when she opened her eyes again the person was gone... "Illusions... this may be quite dangerous..." She said looking at the plants that appeared be moving and not just because of the wind.

"We should make sure there is another person with us at all times..." Ananke looked over at her two companions. "This is just a suggestion but we should probably be on the lookout for civilians and anyone else that appears to be on their own," Ananke said pulling her red hair behind her ear.

Sailor Adorea
Total Roll: 9

Whatever that thing was, it seemed all three of them had managed to break its hold on them. They all appeared to be holding on to their finer senses and Adorea gave a warm smile to Ananke at both her reassurances and her suggestion. It really would be nice to have someone to call on if she ever needed someone's help, though she aspired not to be too much of an inconvenience!

"I'm Adorea," she cleared her throat. "Senshi of Optimism," she added.

She had no special title, no additional rank, she was perfectly simple in every way. Ananke it appeared, was one of those senshi that had gained more power over the years if the 'super' was anything to go by. Adorea could only hope that eventually she managed to achieve something akin to that!

"That sounds like a plan," The red head confirmed with a curt nod and pursed her lips as she took a moment to look around at those who might have fallen into the thrall of the beast. What was one supposed to look for in these cases? Well, based on the way most of them appeared to look, pure bliss and serenity was a surefire sign that something was amiss as they moved in an almost zombie-like fashion towards their own doom.

"Any ideas on how to snap them out of it?" she asked, taking note of one or two that did seem to need some measure of help. "Because otherwise I'm just going to yell at them and give them a good shake." She admitted.

She wasn't attempting to make light of the situation but it was the only plan she currently had.

Her only other conundrum was whether or not to intervene to help those with a more villainous signature; a part of her felt quite strongly that on this occasion faction was irrelevant and she would prefer no one was devoured this evening, Civilian, Order or otherwise...

DMS Eternal Kiuchi
Score: 9

As the plants seemed to move and reveal something bigger the senshi of gorgon's moved closer, slowly, in order to get a good look at just what was going on. Something, a plant from the looks of it, had been hidden by the smaller ones till now. Now it seemed it was opening up and he didn't like the looks of those petals and the vines.

Stepping back he tripped on his sash and fell, with a thud and a yelp, he wasn't able to avoid one of the fireflies approaching him. They were pretty - so pretty. This one was a bright yellow color, almost neon, and then it was gone. What was soon in it's place was a figure he knew very well...and one he had, in part, hoped to never see again. "Mother..." Formal, because he wasn't close enough to her to use any other term. Her hand was held out towards him and he almost took it. He almost followed her. But why would he? Why would she ever want to be close to him?

The only time she ever led him somewhere it was to things he didn't want to go. It was never anything good.

Shaking his head he stepped back. "No." His voice was weak at first but the second time he said it there was more confidence to his words and he shook his head watching as she seemed to vanish from his sight.

Time to see if anyone he knew needed help, since he had noticed others from his own court here. It seemed like his court was doing ok - good. "Acubens!" He shouted towards his fellow eternal. "I don't like this....make sure no one gets too close to that."

"Ananke. You're okay. Good." He was glad he wasn't left alone to deal with all of this.

"Sticking together sounds good but we don't know how many of us are in the trance. We need to collect our comrades and get them together. They can help us wake other people up and then we can work on helping the civilians. We need to spit up and find one of ours and get them rounded to one place. We can meet back here. And Adorea, that sounds as good as a plan as any. Shake them. Yell at them. Slap them if you have to. Anything to keep them away from those awful smelling plants. Sound like a plan?" He asked them both.

Super Sailor Takamizawa

"Yeah it's weird, but it doesn't feel like it's dangerous." He said, happy that she had looped her arm around his. Perhaps they could just enjoy this place instead? It didn't seem like anything was going to happen...

Before he could enjoy watching everyone else with Hamal though, the plants all turned and a larger plant suddenly opened, and out came tons and tons of fireflies! They were so pretty! He held out his hand and one touched him! He smiled, and looked around to see what else the fireflies were doing, but he couldn't help but feel like he was being guided... somewhere. He didn't know, but he certainly didn't mind either!

General Benitoite
Score: 10

None of this made sense - plants didn't behave like this. It was like they had a personality. That wasn't right, none of this was right. What was worse was seeing the baby plants move and some bigger, more vicious, plant reveal itself slowly. He knew, more than most, how vicious plants could be. They were killers, of their own kind, and were known to be the cause for people to die due to poison. This takes things to another level though. That thing looked predatory with vines and what looked like/...spikes or maybe teeth? He wasn't sure but he didn't like it.

He tried to avoid the fireflies but as he backed away from one he failed to notice another one landing on top of his head. He didn't even feel it touch him but he certain felt it's effects, and saw them.

What he saw, aside from fireflies landing on people, was Bazzite. A very real looking Bazzite only they were silent - which was odd. Bazzite was never the sort to be silent and not bouncing about with energy. They looked the same and were holding their hand out towards him while smiling. It wasn't the same though. This he thought even as he slowly did start to follow them. As his legs moved he shook his head. "B-but you aren't....you haven't been Bazzite, like this, in a long time." No...and that was because of him. The captain here wasn't real. Bazzite had become a monster...and then a knight, which was also a monster as far as he was concerned.

"No, you're not real." Stepping back he nearly tripped on his coat but it seemed the vision vanished as well. "Good." At least for him. Not so good for others. Well..that plant now looked hungry and intent upon eating some people. Maybe that would help his side, if it only grabbed senshi and knights. Only those weren't the only ones headed towards it.

"Damn it. Why can't anything be safe in this city.," Including plants, which he loved.

Sapphirine had found herself drawn to the area where it seemed that a majority of the powered population of the city was and for the first time in days, she felt a sense of calm. Perhaps it was brought on by the sweet smell that lingered in her nose, and the pleasant haze that seemed to have settled on her mind. What a sweet summer night.

Her eyes lazily made their way around the area and she sighed, idly swatting at some fat, glowing bug that had buzzed over to her. There was nobody here that she knew and the plant in the center of it all was more than a little strange. Maybe she would go home…

The bright pink hair caught her attention, and the sight of the smile that had haunted her dreams and daydreams…

It was Haumea again, though he was no longer cracked and broken, and he looked happy.

Swiftly, Sapphirine moved over to him and took his hand, her own smile bright with excitement. “Oh! You…You’re not…how did…?”

She couldn’t even seem to get the question out, so great was her joy. He was tugging her over closer to the plant and she laughed softly. “Say something, Hau. I know that you’re Mr. dark and mysterious but…”

The face tattoos were gone…that…that was strange…and not something that Haumea would have done.

For a moment, the form flickered and Sapphirine’s attention was pulled to the plant…the…the hungry looking plant.

Finally her eyes narrowed and she snatched her hand away from the other corrupt, annoyed and hurt by the fact that this was some stupid…trick. “Piss off.” She sneered, and was both pleased and a little heartbroken when the illusion vanished.

Haumea was the way he was now. There was no changing that.

Super Sailor Hamal
Score: 8

Watching the fireflies release, the only word she could think of it for, Hamal had reached out also. She was curious about these blinking insects. They were so lovely! Ohhh...they really were so pretty. Gasping softly, in awe, as one landed on her Hamal couldn't help but giggle soft. One hand coming up as she did so, in a rather polite gesture, the dark eyes senshi watched as the firefly vanish before she saw something else. Someone else.

"Umma?" She whispered, softly, she could feel the wetness forming in her eyes as a hand was reached out towards her. She wanted to take that hand...she really did, and was even reaching for it, when she drew back. "B-but I saw....I saw you...you left me." She whispered, voice cracking, as she drew back and clung to Kami's arm. "K-Kami...please." Tugging more as to get his attention. It took a moment longer, of tugging at the others arm, before the vision of her mother vanished from her sight. What a relief...and yet it hurt so much.

"Kami." Calling softly.

Score: 7

He couldn't make out her face, there was hair like his own in front of her face. He only saw eyes of a emerald green color, different from his own, but the hand held out towards him. He didn't know her but he was sure he knew who she was.

"Mom....?" Whispering the word he took a step towards her. He'd spent his whole life thinking of her, hoping she'd return, and he was sure this was his mother. He didn't have proof, didn't know why, but this was her.

B-but...she hadn't wanted him. She'd never come back....right? So why was she here now? He'd already started to actually build a life for himself, no longer waiting for her. Already he'd taken several steps towards his mother - following her. When he finally stopped moving and just stared.

"No...this is wrong." Moving back towards Acubens, head down. "That...an illusion."

Chibi Sailor Abeosamu
Score: 6

As Abeosamu was looking around, trying to decide who to speak with first, she felt the ground shake slightly. And then suddenly, before her eyes, lots of tiny fireflies appeared in all the colors of the rainbow. One of them bumped into her, and a figure of someone she thought she recognized came into view. She couldn’t make out the face, but there was definitely a sense of familiarity. Suddenly she was overcome with a sense of sadness as this figure reached out to her, beckoning her to follow. She wiped away a tear and, followed along. Whoever they were, they were someone close to her.

As she walked near, she couldn’t help but wonder if this was right. Something seemed off. But she couldn’t place it. Shaking her head, she had a brief moment of clarity. That’s when she spotted the plant, mouth open wide, ready to devour. “Oh my!” It was a good thing she had noticed something was wrong. But the figure stood nearby still, unwilling to give up. Abeosamu felt bad. She wanted to go with them, but it would mean her life. She began to question herself. “No no, I musn’t follow. I’ll be eaten,” she said, speaking to the figure, wondering if it could hear her. She was probably losing her mind.

Finally she began to back away, distancing herself from the familiar presence and away form the flower. “I can’t! I-I won’t go!” she shouted; her mind was no longer hazy. The more she resisted, the clearer things got. That figure had tried to kill her! There’s no way it was who she thought it was. They would never do something like that!

DMS Eternal Sailor Kiuchi.

Hearing a choked sob, from somewhere, the dark mirror senshi turned this way and that before his dark eyes landed on a figure. There! Someone headed towards that man eating flower, as he was sure it did intend to eat people.

Moving towards the senshi, not really caring that they didn't belong to his court, he reached towards her and pushed with both hands. "Stop." Shouting in the hopes of grabbing her attention, if his shove didn't do the trick. She had to be under some heavy magic, like he'd been, but unable to break it. Was it really that strong..and he'd been strong enough to break it? Or had what hit him been weak and easy to beat? He didn't like to think himself so strong, despite the feathery wings he had.

"You need to stop...it's not safe." Grasping at her now, in case she didn't come to and decided to continue towards the plant.
