Saya muttered something about being friendly and having better powers before dozing off. It only took her a few minutes to fall asleep once she had laid down, especially with a comfortable pillow. Twenty minutes later she opened her eyes and sat up slowly. "Mhgmm that was a good sleep..." she muttered as she rubbed her eyes. Fortunately she recharged almost as quickly as she ran out of energy. She slowly got to her feet and shook the rest of the sleep from her before looking up at Queen with a smile. "Okay, I'm ready again!" She said happily. She may or may not have heard Queen's last words to her. "Is the rubber monster still up there? Can I fight her again?" She asked, the smile never leaving her face.
_________________________________________ Queen waited for her to wake up but it was much quicker than she figured. "good...if your already ready...then go get her...shes still up there...more likely sleeping" queen told her "just keep going at it, thats the only way to learn" she told her giving her approval to go and fight again.

"Okay Queenie!" Saya replied with a grin that meant she was definitely up to something. Without another word she rushed forward, the wind blowing Queen's hair as she ran by. Saya ran straight up the tower until she reached the top, kicking off the ledge and launching herself into the air. She hovered there looking down at Eliza. "Hey kishin lady! Wake up! Queen said we can fight again!" Saya called out, cupping her hands in front of her mouth so her voice would be louder.
Eliza _________________________________________ Eliza was sleeping again with the snot bubble coming out of her nose as she did, only to have it pop when Saya screamed at her, she woke up and looked at her rubbing her eyes "already?...man your quick to recover" she stated looking at her, she would smirk "guess i should start by saying morning then" she said as she held her hand out to Saya as the area around her started to get Cold, Saya would see her breathe pretty quickly as well as ice forming around her from just the air _________________________________________

Saya looked down at Eliza as she spoke. "Yeah Queenie says the same thing but I don't mind. I guess it's good," she replied. She glanced around as she felt the air getting colder. Saya began to increase her own wavelength, the flames around her slowly burning away the cold until she was warm again. "Trying to freeze me to death?" She asked in a slightly sarcastic tone. She was cocky all of a sudden.
Eliza _________________________________________ Eliza smirked as she would watch Saya heat up the air "nope...trying to show off" she stated as saya would find her flames starting to freeze making the impossible seem possible as her flames which warmed her up began to become ice "sometimes you just got to show off to make yourself a good threat" she told her as she continued to hold her hand out continuing to freeze the air "afterall, its not everyday you get to experience Corrupted Ice" _________________________________________

Saya seemed surprised to see her fire freeze up. "Think you're so great because you can freeze the air? I'll show you!" She replied, holding up her hand and forming a spear. Instead of launching it at Eliza she began to twirl it around rapidly in a circle, adding its heat to her wavelength until her fire unfroze again. "See?" She asked triumphantly. "I'm fire and you're ice. Fire beats ice!"
Eliza _________________________________________ Eliza looked at her and smirked "yep i see...i also see you openingly showing me how your power works" she stated as she would sit up still holding her hand out "as a word of warning the more you show...the more i can counter" she stated as she would again increase the intake of the iced area making it compete evenly with her fire making it clear the Ice was not normal and have a much higher melt temperature. "besides, should you really waste your energy on just this?" she asked. _________________________________________

Gorosei sat back down once the young kitsune fell asleep. Queen seemed to have everything under control. The idea was fairly sound. The stronger the opponent, the more you have to improve to defeat them. Goro did make a mental critique over her refusal to give any tips on how to go about the improvement, but it wasn't his place to interject. The Painted Fox felt differently about training methods than Queen did, obviously.
He couldn't help but let a proud little smile tug at his lips. Saya seemed to be entertained by his little trick. She had the usual kitsune fire at her command, and given her young age she probably wasn't too used to seeing some of the stranger powers that fox spirits could be born with. Queen seemed to have black fire at her disposal, but he was sure there was more to her than just that. Otherwise she would be statistically boring to him. Fox Fire was something he had analyzed over and over during his three hundred plus years of life. It didn't hold the same interest anymore. The heat, consistency, properties, and the color didn't matter. Fire was fire, and at the end of the day, Gorosei was bored by fire. Maybe it had something to do with his ink's natural weakness, but if that was the case then he probably would try and find a way to deal with it through further research.
Once the youngling was up and moving again, he let the pillow dissolve, leaving a black stain on the log where she was resting. His eyes tossed a concerned glance to Queen as she darted away, but waited until she was locked in combat to say anything. "So she mimics the abilities of others, huh?" He started with a question. Gorosei's had already formulated a hypothesis, but it was a way for him to transition into a conversation. "Does that mean that she directly copies the power, or is it more like she mixes her own style into it?"
Another question. It may seem like he was prying, but it was far from it. Gorosei was regarded in the tree as a high-functioning tactician. He thinks several moves ahead with minimal information, and even further if he has more to go on. He was intending to learn a bit about Saya in order to formulate an idea of how the exchange between her and the Kishin would go. Fire versus ice usually would go in the favor of fire, but he could tell even from this distance away that this instance wasn't going to be usual. The Kishin had a way of bolstering the strength of her ice to resist fire. Now it would come down to whether Saya was able to do the same with her fire. If she was able to mimic abilities, then it wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility. And if she could, then it might also stand to reason that it was something Queen was capable of doing as well. There was much to be learned from even the smallest interaction between the two of them. His curiosity was definitely piqued.
"What all is she able to do?" His tone had shifted again, this time hiding a tinge of disappointment at Queen's advisement for Saya to hold back on being friendly. She still didn't trust the Painted Fox. It was her right, but he was intent on breaking through to her.
_________________________________________ Queen watched as the fight began as nothing much was happening. she glanced at the fox "shes a prodigy" she told him plainly "she has a special ability which allows her to demonstrate the characteristics of all three of the basic abilities a kitsune can have, something that not even any of the former families could do, making her potentially one of the strongest kitsunes, but shes still too young to really be trusted with her ability alone, as she often will try and mimic other peoples powers and not bother to understand how they can be used" she told him. "if i had to pick which category she would fall under, it would be the UNIQUE as she could potentially learn something she wouldn't be able to learn" she explained. she would watch the fire and ice showdown but the fox spoke up again "honestly, no idea, she often hides abilities from me and then tries to show them off when she masters them to some extent, she probably has more powers then she has shown" she told him. Queen only knew about the abilities that Saya had showed her usually when she tried to show off and make her proud, but in the long run not even queen could so what Saya could do with her ability to copy other peoples moves and make her own, afterall most of her abilities were based off of Queens, yet each was different and Queen had to train most of her life to even get as skilled with multiple abilities to be able to consistently use them in a fight, and Queen was sure that Saya knew abilities that not even she could learn to do.

Gorosei listened to Queen speak, his face showing he was visibly impressed. A prodigy... It isn't every day you meet one of those. Goro himself fell under "creation," and most other kitsune were "elemental." If this girl was able to access both of those as well as an unspecified third, she would be a force to be reckoned with in the future. He wondered exactly what she may be hiding from her guardian. The prospect of the various possibilities made him grin with eager anticipation. He leaned in and put a bit more focus on the fight between Saya and the Kishin.
"I see. So the idea behind this experiment you're running is to try and force her into developing her own way of using her powers by pitting her against an entity who can't be defeated by mimicking the powers of others," Goro's tone was less confused now. His voice conveyed a sense of approval that wasn't there previously. "How intriguing," the Painted Fox was thoroughly invested in the duo at this moment. One was destined to become one of the strongest kitsune once she realized her full potential, and the other was acting as her caretaker in the absence of her family. There was a deeper story here. Some facets of the dark haired girls tale that hadn't been explored.
For the briefest of moments, he tore his eyes away from Saya and had them fixate on Queen. Not long enough to miss anything, but long enough for him to run through a series of data strings that he was piecing together about her. "From the moment I set foot in here and interrupted you, you have shown that you don't trust me. What would I need to do to show you that I am not your enemy, or, how do I befriend you, youngling?" His question was posed in a strange way. It was directed at Queen, but the way he asked made it seem as if he was talking more to himself. He figured that the best way to witness the progress of the prodigy before him was to befriend the one in charge of training her.
_________________________________________ Queen would focus on the fight above "close enough, i would say" she told him "i'm pitting her against an entity that cant be killed no matter what you do, not even if you destroy her entire body, every part, she finds a way to return" she told him "That allows the girl to fight unrestricted as she often holds back in fear she will hurt someone" she told him "but yes im hoping she will develop her own idea of powers using her ability which will allow her to do what i need her to do in the future" she finished before glaring at him "you can start by not calling me youngling, I may be conisidered a Child to many, but remember this, i can defeat any of my kind in this world if i choose" she told him bluntly "but besides that there isn't anything really you can do to make me trust you, think about it like this, and im sure you'll understand "what does a bear do when you approach its cub...they are aggressive...and they dont take the time to trust others whom are near their children" she told him "thats pretty simular to what we have between you and me" she told him bluntly "besides i really dont have any interest in this world's kitsunes, they are much weaker than what my world gave out"

A bear to a cub. What an interesting analogy. She had tried to deny her motherly connection to the young girl, hiding it behind a false bravado. If Queen really was raising Saya in order to destroy the world, then why would she use a simile that so blatantly revealed her innate desire to protect? The Painted Fox may seem like he was missing a few marbles, but he wasn't an idiot. He had already drawn this conclusion, and this only further strengthened his theory. If anything, every time Queen spoke of Saya it lead to prove his hypothesis. That wasn't the interesting part of her response, however.
His ears twitched beneath his semi-transparent hood when she had let slip that this worlds kitsune were weaker than those of her world. The idea put a bit of venom in his soul. Pride was the vice of their race, and Gorosei inhabited this vice just like the rest. Someone stating that the kitsune were weak was an insult that he took quite personally. He didn't let this irksome statement break through his demeanor. Expression unchanged, he turned to look at Queen directly.
"Fair enough, I won't call you a youngling again. If you come from a stronger breed of kitsune than we have in this world, perhaps you might consider training others as well?" Although not directly stated, his question implied that he was interested in learning from her. Among the tree, he was known to be a highly skilled tactician, and his formal training with the vanguard allowed him to be a potent fighter; but, if what she said was true, then the usually passive Gorosei saw fit to put it to a test. After all, what harm would it do? Best case scenario, he learned and got stronger than he already was. Worst case, Queen grew angry and he'd be right back to square one. He hadn't made much progress anyway.
_________________________________________ Queen sighed "and why would i bother doing that, I don't care for anyone from this world, and most of those whom went under my training either die or quit after the first month of me training" she told him bluntly. "and besides, i did say this world was going to fall in the future, why would i intentionally try and change the fate of a world i'm not from" she added. being she was one of the best fighters as well as strategists in her world she really never saw much point in interacting with the new world minus unexpected occurrences and planned events which she often played out the way she wanted. she could already figure what his purpose of the question was or at least the general area of what he was going for, it was under two different paths, since she mentioned she was from another world and she was originally sent her to destroy the place, it made it clear that when he asked it was for a specific reason, and she had an idea of what, but she wasn't going to bring it up seeing if he would push further or not, but she still didn't feel the need to train anyone else. the most she would feel like doing would be letting him fight the kishin when Saya was finished leaving him to his own devices.
