When Bush wasn't looking, Bess threw her tofu at him.
"Wha-?!?!" sulked Bush.
"It seems tofu doesn't like you, Mr. President," giggled Bess.
"Everyone should like me!" he pouted.
Still giggling a bit, Bess returned to the conversation. "How dare they try to feed me tofu? I'm allergic to it," she whined.

"Maybe we should skip breakfast today, as it seems nobody here likes tofu." She said, flicking bits of her tofu at President Tree, who hadn't given up whining and murmured something about elections.

Cedric grinned as he watched Bess throw her tofu at Bush. Bush always had been annoying. Still grinning, he picked up his tofu, and flung it at Bush. Some more inmates followed suit, and a few seconds later, Bush was covered with tofu.
"Heh, good one, Bess." he said, patting her on the head. Bess was like a younger sister to him, albeit one 10 years younger. Unlike most of the other patients, Bess wasn't prone to violence, so it was quite easy to deal with her. "Although I am not allergic to tofu, I do not enjoy it much either. Here, have some crackers."
Cedric, although stuck in Room #21, was fortunate enough to have family that still cared about him, and his parents often sent him packets of tea and some small things to eat. He even exchanged letters with them once or twice a week, unless something came up, and this made him glad, for he knew that he was not yet abandoned by all.
Taking out a bag of some strange chocolate cookie with white frosting in the middle, Cedric passed it to Bess. "Here, have some. I think the Americans call this Oh-No-Eos or something like that. It's quite nice, although I fear it's too sweet for me."

[[I just had a brilliant idea. At the start of each day, someone who hasn't started the day starts it with their dream. It'll allow us to know more about our respective characters, you know? Like with Bess and Cedric.]]

((Great idea!))
Mira soon grew tired of throwing tofu, and went back to her tea, only to find her cup empty. A wee bit dissapointed, she let her eyes wander the room, finally resting on... You guessed it. She felt she couldn't prance around the subject anymore, so she inquired: "So what are we going to do about the door?"

"Thanks!" Bess said gratefully as she took the cookie.
Bess's eyes widened as Mira mentioned the door. It was bad enough that she was by far the youngest of everyone in Room #21, but she was the only one among her and her friends (Ankah was mean to them all; Bess really didn't think she counted) who didn't want to leave! Up until she was put in here, she was expected to act a certain way, dress a certain way, ect. She could never please her parents, and apparently she couldn't please anyone else outside this room either. She would never live up to what she was expected to; not with her sudden fits!
In here, Bess had friends. In here, she was considered (somewhat) normal. How could she possibly face the cruel world again?

Cedric grew quiet as Mira mentioned the door. The door was the only thing keeping them from freedom. However, Cedric did not place too much faith on it. If it would lead them out, then he'd gladly leave. But he suspected sometimes that the door was fake, and that it simply led to a dead end. If that was true, it would be good not to have too much faith in it, for the shock could be enough to kill. And Cedric did not wish to die of shock.
"The door... we've only opened it twice, but none of us have ever gone in their, except for-" Cedric paused, and looked at another corner of the room. Ryan. Ryan had once ventured into the room. Ryan, with his muscles and bravery. A minute later, Ryan had fallen out of the door, insane with fear. No one knew what had caused it. But after that, no one dared to open the door. "After... Ryan... if we're going in there... we should go in groups. It'll be safer that way."
Ryan then noticed that Bess's eyes were wide. "What's the matter, Bess? Is anything the matter?" he asked, concerned.

((I read the current happenings, Maggeh. Oh and thank you. ^^ I'll be the first to use your new idea. 3nodding ))
Wynn held an oversized water pistol in her hands. She fired it twice at two dolls and it made a very realistic 'bang' noise. She started crying even though she didn't know why. She pointed the water pistol at herself to get a drink but it jumped out of her hands and ran off. She chased after it but soon woke up when the 'president' was yelling.
Wynn got up and stretched. Yawning, she decided to get breakfast. Seeing it was just tofu, she got some tea instead. Wynn looked around the room as she drank her tea. She saw Cedric and Mira talking. Already guessing what they were talking about, she walked over to them.
"Good morning, Mira. Cedric. The door?" Wynn whispered.

"N-nothing," Bess stammered. "I'm just... Afraid of the door. I mean, after Ryan..."
Bess looked at Ryan. She had actually considered escape, before what happened to him. There was no way she'd go into that door now.
"And people out there aren't very nice," Bess added.

"Yes... Ryan." Cedric's face darkened. Ryan had been sane when he came in. He'd been framed for a crime he had not committed. However, he had been the brotherly figure to all. He was always optimistic, and his cheerful behavior gave the others hope. He'd volunteered to go down the tunnel because he had been willing to risk himself. Cedric sighed. If there had been a God, a person like Ryan would not have had to suffer such a fate. "After Ryan went insane, I realized once more that God does not exist." muttered Cedric to himself.
His face slightly brightened at Bess's words. She was so like a child. He leaned and patted her head. "Don't worry, Bess. If we all get out of here, I'll come and visit you everyday. Okay?"

Bess smiled at Cedric as he patted her on the head, but she was still worried.
That's IF we all get out of here. And I'll never get out. There's a slim chance that the tunnel leads to freedom, and an even slimmer chance of being let out by the doctors, Bess thought miserably.
