Lucien blinked fuzzy eyes before looking up at Arin through the film of memories for a moment before the present returned. He carefully set the box aside, though didn't turn to look to see where he was putting it back, eyes stuck on the rings in Arin's hands. "How ... " He couldn't imagine how this was possible. How could their wedding rings, those wedding rings, still be here and together. Lucien knew a bit of how things had ended last time, at least in general, and he couldn't imagine how both their rings ended up together. "Whichever of them put these in the box was brilliant. We ... we have our rings." Lucien could almost feel it on his finger. Not where one would traditionally be now but where, should they press their hands together, the rings would be brought together as well.

He reached out to take hold of Luc's hand once he'd set the box aside, pressing the rings into Luc's palm. "We haven't been able to settle on a date... Venues are booked, something comes up... Maybe this is why." He covered the rings with his own palm, giving Luc's hand a gentle squeeze. "Should we put them on? Call it done? Make this a memory for the two of us to find another thousand years from now? Marry me, Luc. We'll make it up to Cordelia and the rest of our friends and family later..." He liked to think that Cordelia would understand, just as he hoped their loved ones had in the past. "Marry me."

He set a hand over Arin's, feeling the press of the rings against his palm and the weight of everything else slowly floating away. Something had kept coming up, one thing after another that had prevented them from being able to actually lock down a date to properly get married. He hadn't been too concerned about it other than knowing that Cordy wanted the ceremony, she wanted that for at least one of them. In a way it was a bit like the memory they'd just shared. The pomp and ceremony for someone else. "Yes ... yes, god yes. They're ours now and forever, this is all we need." It was all Arlen and Jinyue had needed and they'd left this memory for them to remind them of what was really important. They could always do things for their friends and family but neither of them needed that. All they needed was each other.

He brought his free hand up, fingers tangling in Lucien's hair as he drew him into a kiss. It lacked the desperation of their early days, carrying with it all of the warmth and love that he could muster instead. He didn't need anything else as long as he had this, as long as he had Luc. He pulled back slowly, flashing the other man a smile as he plucked the smaller of the two rings from Luc's hand, holding it out to the other man. "I've a feeling it only fits one finger, but....Which would you like me to put it on, love?"

He smiled against the kiss, heart fluttering in his chest and settling into a warm glow that only Arin could bring out in him. No matter what else happened in their lives it would be fine so long as he had Arin by his side. They could handle anything so long as it was together. "Right ..." He held up his hand, still able to feel the weight of the memory of the ring on his finger. "Yours goes on the left I believe."

He slid the ring on to Luc's finger as instructed, giving his lover's hand a gentle squeeze before lifting it up to brush a kiss to his knuckles upon doing so. He then took the remaining ring, slipping it down into place on his ring finger. The second he'd done so he leaned in to catch Luc in another kiss, letting that last lingering moment of memory seal it. With you I can make it through anything... The magic of the island seemed to sing around them, thrumming along with his heart and swelling with the intense emotions he could feel overtaking him. It was like powering up all over again, even if neither of them had actually powered down upon arrival. When he pulled out of the kiss he stepped back to take a look at his lover, eyes drifting over the other man's face as he gently cradled his jaw. ".... I think Mag Mell approves. Arsinoe must as well, all things considered." His hands drifted down to lightly tug at the other man's chest bow as he spoke. "So much for dressing down, hm?"

Lucien hadn't ever expected to feel something like this again. As the magic of the Wonder under their feet swirled around him he felt almost the same as the night on Arsinoe when he'd transcended. It wasn't quite the same, the magic of the Wonder resonating along with that of Arsinoe in him instead of trying to drown it out. It was strange and wonderful and perfectWhen Arin tugged on his uniform he looked down at himself and then at his lover. "Well ... don't you look handsome." He ran his hands down the rainbow brocade that now decorated Arin's vest. The same pattern that now wrapped around his waist. Their uniforms had changed, Arin's now fitting more with the Knight he was supposed to be and his own now decorated with bits that looked like they should have belonged on Arin's. The sashes around their waists quite obviously taken from the others uniform the most obvious change between them.

If he could explain the way he felt right now in any form at all it would be with the words 'in tune'. He felt like everything was right with the world, with all of the worlds, because a part of him had synced up so well with Lucien, Sailor Arsinoe, that something magical -- quite literally magical -- had happened. "You're one to talk." He murmured, fingers lightly tugging at Luc's bow once more before his hands drifted to the other man's shoulders, sliding slowly along his arms. His fingers paused at the embroidered stars on Lucien's sleeves, face flushed with an overall feeling of contentment. No matter where they were, no matter what life through at them, they'd always have this; they'd always carry a part of each other with them. "Don't think I've ever seen you in anything rainbow before.... Looks good, though."

"If you've ever wondered what transcendence feels like ... that was pretty close." He laughed softly as he let Arin's hands wander for the moment. The touch felt good, warm and comfortable, and while Arin was exploring the changes to his uniform he could take in the ones to his lovers. "I didn't think I'd ever feel something like it again but ... Mag Mell is home too so I suppose it's fitting." He reached up to run his fingers along the stripe of magenta along Arin's collar and then drifted to tug lightly at the sash around his waist. "I like the magenta on you, makes your eyes stand out more." With the darker colors Arin's eyes looked so much more blue, or maybe that was the emotions, but they were gorgeous and bright. "Do you think ... maybe this is how they dressed? Giving pieces of themselves to each other so they were never apart?"

"You're just saying that because it makes me look like I'm yours." He teased softly, leaning in to touch his nose to the other man's as his hands settled on Lucien's hips. "Which I guess I am, all things considered." It was so hard to keep the smile off of his lips, or the adoring love and warmth from his eyes as his met Luc's. He held on to the other man's gaze before brushing a quick peck of a kiss to his lips. "Knowing the two of them -- knowing us now? That's exactly why. Subtle reminders, little nods... Anything to make it easier to remember just how loved you are no matter where we go."

"Mmhn, all mine." He smiled, reaching up to run his fingers though Arin's hair as he returned the light brush of lips. "And I'll always know because I've got your sash." Which did clash a bit with his uniform but he wouldn't change it for the world. He let his hands run down Arin's arms for a moment before sliding his own around Arins waist. "Not quite sure it's all that subtle but I guess if you didn't know either of us then it might not be so obvious." To anyone who knew either of them at all it would be pretty obvious what had happened. Which was perfectly fine with him.

"Subtle like a pastel, rainbow brick." The starts were more subtle than the sash. The rings might be a bit more noticeable. The splash of magenta around his waist or the rainbow around Luc's? Definitely noticeable, and entirely more likely to be so with the two of them standing side by side. "Y'know, if you want to try anything else of mine on tonight all you have to do is let me know. Cloak's easy enough to share, vest might be a little big, but..." He'd taken on a bit of a flirtatiously cheeky tone,hands drifting up to lightly tug on the tails of Luc's chest bow. "We've got the rest of the night to enjoy, and reservations tomorrow. We can worry about everything else, including the past and our future later. Let's finish living in the present."
