The youma shrieks, and the sound echoes echoes echoes -
The room around everyone shivers violently. Everything twists and contorts, and the youma shrieks again, thrashing violently around in an effort to get away. Something about it is pulsing; everyone who stands too near the youma suddenly becomes immersed in a circus life that is twisted and confusing and wrong wrong wrong -

Chaonis stopped abruptly, not noticing Navi falling behind him, or the way she stumbled at the sight of her former friend. He would have loved to have seen her suffer the same fate as him, though, as far as tripping went. It would just further tie them together, and it would be pretty funny. He would easily laugh at her and pretend he had been perfect, all the while grinning like an idiot.
There was no grin on his face right now.
He stared at the tiger as it thrashed around, not moving as it charged past, attacking others, roaring and hissing like the wild animal it was pretending to be. The sound thundered in his head, dampening everything else, from the yells of the other people in the room to the shrieking of the youma itself, until all sound became one loud, yet somehow muffled thrum. He shuddered, looking down at his hands, which were shaking with increasing ferocity as he turned them around. These gloves. This armor. This strange feeling in the back of his head, all around him, terrifying in some ways, welcoming in others. It was overwhelming and unfamiliar.
The youma's screech pierced the dampened cacophony, and Chaonis let out a cry of surprise. He was close to it, and as it swung its claws he lashed out with a punch of his own, not sure what he was hitting or why. The amount of power behind his swing was what caught him off guard. How could he swing that fast? Hit that hard? How had he not been sliced to ribbons just now? He moved so quickly, his instincts faster than his addled mind could even grasp. He was... he was some sort of monster.
He was surrounded by them.
All he wanted to do was flee to the safety of the high wire. To him, it was the only place where nothing else could touch him. Where he was the star, and the only one in the sky at that. These people... this monster, this was a part of the show he had never been privy to. A twisted side show attraction, or some sort of cruel after hours nightmare. Whatever it was, he wanted to break away, he wanted to run.
Except those same instincts that told him how to punch were telling him not to move a muscle. To stand. To fight. Fight them all?
Acubens' hand closed around Xi-Wang's shoulder almost by accident. With gritted teeth she leaned in close and whispered, "we need to power up. Protect the little one." It might have been mistaken for anger to someone who knew her less, but to those close... this was pain. And panic. Both in equal measure. A hurricane of negative emotion loosely contained in the flesh of a woman.
A familiar aura... no wait... two... bleary eyes searched for the sources and found them. One was a trapeze artist. From a... different circus? A rival one? No, that wasn't right. Navi, a vision in white and burn sienna, flying through the air as though without effort... no... no that wasn't right... And another -- the Ringmaster. A woman of fierce loyalty, dedication, and deep affection. But Quinn wasn't a Ringmaster, was ******** -- s**t -- Velociraptor Endow!"
The attack came to her clear as day, and if that was the only thing clear about this moment then so be it. Even if all of her attacks missed, then at least she knew she could count on her magic.
Surprised when Rhona turned up - no Acubens, he nodded his head at her order. "Ok." He'd power up, it was needed, as she said, and he had his pen on him. He kept it on him at all times, even when on the tightrope. But here on the ground he could put it to use. Pulling his pen out, from the belt he had about his pants, he was able to power up after ducking behind whatever was closest to him; he didn't notice what it was.
Powered up he returned to Acubens and Gabriel's side. He was just in time, perhaps it was a good thing, to see Acubens attack the wild tiger that was causing such issues for them. Deciding to help out he plucked what looked like a hair from his head and followed up Acubens attack with one of his own.
"Gorgon's assault."
Looking to Acubens he smiled, even as he now was grabbing for Gabriel again. "Power up...it's safer. I have your back Acubens."
Well, he would have her back. The tiger hadn't exactly liked him attacking it and had made a quick bee line for him and knocked him right over before his magic seemed ot have taken hold and it was off him, almost as fast as it had been on him.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Gorgon's assault. Like the last attack Kiuchi will pluck a "hair" from his head that glows green. This time that single "hair" multiples into three glowing "hairs" before rushing forward toward three individuals this attack has a six foot radius. Again someone else can move into the way and be hit or a person can avoid the attack by stepping out of range. Getting hit by this will leave a person feeling feverish and sick to their stomach as well as possible blurring vision. The attack will only last for thirty seconds and during this time not moving, or doing so slowly, is advisable as one might make themselves even sicker due to moving, other outside things can of course increase the sick feeling.
The image of Kiuchi before her shifted between his green and black fuku and a spangled trapeze costume and Acubens couldn't be sure which as the lie and which was real. This was already on her nerves and each passing second that she spent between lives her irritation only grew. Her jaw clenched painfully, trying to navigate the pounding migraine, dueling images, and the battle before her.
Thank God Kiuchi seemed to be more put together than she was. She took the moment that Kiuchi spent attacking to fall back against Gabriel, clutching her head in agony. Had she cried out? Or was that the youma? It was impossible to tell. Impossible to find out. There was no time. Kiuchi's attack was taking effect and she needed to act now. Next to her was a chair. Or was it a stool that she used for her act? It didn't matter, it was a projectile. And she threw it with all of her might at the youma before her.
It was as if someone had snapped their fingers and suddenly Quinn was shifting back into reality - actual reality. The emerging of a Youma had her rolling her eyes so hard she wouldn't have been surprised if they somehow fell out of her head. Of course this couldn't be a normal night out, why would it be?
As her reality shifted back to the circus, she was overtaken with anger that the tamers didn't have their ******** tiger under control. Which meant that she failed as a Ringmaster because she didn't have the ******** tamers under control. Get. It. Together. Quinn. Control your people!
It was only the eye contact with Navi that pulled Quinn back again. Seeing that ******** White Moon Senshi clad in caution tape at her side had her pulling out her henshin pen and calling her magic around herself instantly. Clad in black and camouflage, she decided she didn't have the patience or ******** to give and she pushed herself past her Eternal form and into her Royal one. Black wings flared from her back and the circus enveloped her mind once again, making her forget about her power signature erupting through the building like a beacon screaming ~HERE I AM~.
The youma shrieked and the room seemed to tremble and Leto felt familiar, comfortable power signatures flaring all around her - other Dark Mirror Senshi - or other people that belonged to her circus? She shook her head, unable to tell the difference between which visions were reality anymore. All she could do was fight. Be in control. Protect her people. That was what a ringmaster was supposed to do. So she threw herself at the youma, calling her Super attack to life as she did so. She was camouflaged, and a few Dark Mirror Senshi nearby would find themselves easily hidden as well, as she went to bodyrush the youma with her shoulder down as if she were a football player going in for a tackle.
Seren heard the laughter from that ******** CREEP of a knife thrower, but she also heard screams, and the roar of a tiger, and it was not one of Nate's, that was certain.
Wait, Nate did not have tigers, that was the other reality. She did not know how to handle everything going on, and it was kind of making her more upset by the minute. She decided to handle the reality with the tiger as a Youma, and her shoulder as bruised, not knifed, as the one to cling to for the moment... Especially when Nate began to fight it, which had her wanting to cry with worry. She hated the idea of him caught up in this ******** up war between Chaos and Order, and neither side deserved him. He was too good for that.
And then she heard what sounded like a clown, and her head turned, eyes wide and horrified, to see a Nega that looked like her worst nightmare of a clown. She had to prevent the urge to scream in fear, and instead, focused on the goddamn Elephant. She lurched to her feet, to attempt to swing at it... And missed, getting knocked by it in her misjudged timing.
The woman came up and made some grand speech, tears in her eyes, all pumped full of self-important and justice - and all Dimitri could do was laugh in her face, if not directly because Lia went ahead and put herself in between them, not for the first time - or was it the first time? It didn't matter, it really didn't, but he was just laughing, the kind straight from his belly. It was just too funny. Then a tiger appeared, a chaotic mass that was attacking everyone in sight, and even as he instinctively melded to the shadows of Lia's towering form and shifted into the Clown, the truest one here, the best of the lot without ever having been one, the laughter did not cease, with a kind of giddiness that was completely out of place for the monster they were facing, twirling the string of his balloon between his fingers.
Until it hit Lia. And the laughter stopped, something like shock flashing across his face - almost as if he'd been the one hit instead of her. His eyes narrowed abruptly, all trace of a smile that was not painted gone.
It didn't matter how distorted the world was. That didn't concern him. But Lia -
"Kill it, " he spat out, softly at first, an unconscious echo of Mason's words. His teeth ground together audibly as he swept forward, slamming the tiger with a fist.
"Kill it, " Penikisite said, louder this time, grabbing at whatever purchase he could find on the monster. He did not seem phased by any attempt it was making to defend itself. It could not have matter less to him.
"Kill it, " and the mantra continued, only escalating, as he made to try and gouge out an eye. It was not a very successful attempt, but Penikisite did not seem remotely deterred. His lips were peeled back, not in a typical, sadistic grin, but in a snarl that seemed to mock the tiger itself. "KILL IT. KILL IT."
He shifted tactics, suddenly, as if just remembering the balloon dangling from his grasp, bouncing merrily in the air with every blown. He tugged it down by the string, violently, and made every effort to shove it between the tiger’s fangs and down into its throat, still howling, “KILL IT.”
"I'll fight. I'm not letting you do this on your own." Standing behind Sachio, as the other powered up, she shook her head and reached for her own hennshin pen. As far as she was concerned they were together and a team here. She wasn't letting him do this on his own, even though others were in fact involved. She didn't know anyone else here.
"Just be careful." Even as she said it he went to punch the tiger - and got hurt. At least he did some damage to the tiger...but he still got hurt. "Be careful." Gently scolded, though more worried about him.
While the other might be willing to use his fists to fight she wasn't, she wasn't a fighter. But she did have magic and she was willing to use that. "Talismen" Calling out the first part of her attack. She watched the familiar slip of paper appear in her hand. Moving around her partner she finished off her attack. "Of sparks."
Unlucky for her was how close she needed to be for her magic to work - six feet. It was too close, especially for her. The tiger turned on her, not at all happy with her magical assault, and reached out to swipe one large paw at her. Moving to avoid it she still caught some of it's claws to her arm. Watching them shred the sleeve and draw blood she let out a surprised cry of pain.
Sailor Scout Attack:Talisman of Sparks As she speaks the first word a slip of bright yellow paper appears between thumb and index fingers. It is as the last word is spoken that markings for “sparks” in bright red symbols appear going down the bit of paper. Holding the talisman out, toward the target (who must be within six feet of Sailor Hamal ), the talisman will dissolve into reddish-orange colored ball energy with bits of yellow paper, which have turned into golden shards, suspended inside.

Things that happened next were a blur. They were confronting someone? Laughter. Just a rain of laughter from behind her and a warmth. Concern for Mason---
A danger. She had felt a spike of alarm and adrenaline rush through her when the danger arrived, but it hadn't been Mason she needed to worry about. All she heard and felt was a crunch and next thing she knew she was seeing stars. They pinged bright. Something hot gushed from the front of her face. The woman's tall frame staggered, and her head, which had been hurting from the flip flopping they all had been experience, felt like it was going to split open as the memories swung from one end to the other. Another life, this life---vision blurred and she felt like she was going to be sick.
The laughter stopped and the warmth behind her was gone, and at the moment she couldn't make sense of it as she reeled.
Mason didn't really like risking powering up among all the people, but using Lia and the damage the monster was making, he side stepped away into Starr and came back.
Just in time to see Lia take a face full of damage and for Dimitri to be doing....well what the man did best. He moved in front of the taller woman, so that nothing else could come for her and blasted his magic at the stupid tiger.
