Well, it had to be something that would interest both boys but he would have to think on it. If an art museum wouldn't interest Timmy, maybe he could do separate things with the two of them. Maybe he could do one of those paint and sip classes with Tristan, without the sip part anyway. Was paint and snack a thing?
"What do you think Timmy would enjoy?" he asked.

Dea was quiet, not wanting to disrupt his thinking, so she was quiet again. At least, she was, until he asked her a question directly once more.
"Timmy would like anything with books involved. Or anything he could take his daughter to,"she explained.

"There's a library a few towns away with three floors. I think they have children's activities pretty often. We could try one of those. Maybe take the others, too?" They had children young enough to enjoy the activities the library could provide. Sunny--well, they didn't know how old he was, but size wise, certainly!
"Who else do you think I should work on getting to know?" he asked.

"I think a library with a children's area would be wonderful. Would give him some new books to look through and his daughter some time to play herself. As for anyone else, you don't really know the two we saved from the Rockets..though one..was already family,"she spoke.

"We could take all of the kids," he offered, looking to her. He really did want to bond with each of the children. They were a family and he was the newcomer. He wanted to be a part of it. "They were captured?" he asked, brow furrowing in concern. He hated to think about that. He hadn't really protected them, had he?
"Which?" he asked.

"Well, if they want, not all of them are comfortable in a library. Some of them are more active, like Fluff. As for the ones captured, yes, the same as they had Eilam and Lucy for a brief time. Aure is one of them, he doesn't talk much, most of it in telepathic. And Jubilee, she was the one who was already family..having belonged to Kidd,"she explained softly.

Oh. They'd captured more than just Eilam and Lucy, then. He'd figured they'd intended to get caught for information. But they'd caught Kidd's pokemon and the quiet boy he hadn't spent much time with, too? Maybe it hadn't been intentional. His brow furrowed further, and he frowned.
"I hate Rocket."

"Yeah, I can't say I am too fond of them either, dear. They took you, they took some of my Pokemon, they sent Kidd away. I just want to live a normal life, not worrying about these things,"she sighed.

Noah gave her hand a squeeze and gave her a sad sort of smile. He knew their lives would never be normal. He’d been a spy, too busy with work to fulfill his life long dream of working with Pokémon. He knew Rocket would one day discover his escape and with his knowledge, they would make him a target.
He didn’t know if they would ever be completely safe. But he’d work to make their lives as good as they could be.

Dea squeezed his hand back, she was glad he was here with her. As much as she wanted a normal life, she knew that would never happen. She was a woman who could talk to Pokemon, one of her Pokemon was a god, and her father was a scientist. Not only that, but her husband and one of her pokemon were spies. No, she knew it was nothing but frustration that was speaking for her right now.
"I love you,"she finally spoke.

"I love you," Noah responded, and looked to her. He studied her expression and gave her hand another squeeze. "I was thinking about changing my career," he said. "Do you think your father might have an opening?"
He'd dreamt of being a scientist, but had never had the chance. "No more life and death for me."

"I've had three years to regret my career decision," Noah admitted. He shook his head and sighed. "I lost time with my wife, missed out on having a family with her. I'm not risking that again." He kissed her cheek. "I would rather do anything else."

"Honey, you didn't lose that because of your job. Any career has its dangers, you know that. Even a scientist could be attacked by a wild Pokemon. Yes, things happened and I will worry, but I want you to do what is best for you,"she told him, reaching out to squeeze his hand.

"If I hadn't been spying on Team Rocket, they wouldn't have captured me," he pointed out, with a sigh. "And they might not have discovered your ability. They wouldn't have tried to take you or hurt you. And then--my own ability kept me captive." He shook his head again and gave her hand a return squeeze.
"I love you. I can't let something like this come between us again." And, well, he didn't want to admit it, but the idea of going back to work scared him.
What if he died this time?
