Cody looked at Strider and nodded at her support but in the back of his mind, hidden by his reassured expression he was questioning it all and having a nervous breakdown. The king then snapped their attentions again, "Alright, its settled that you will move into the castle till the duel and from there it will be handled as time will tell." He said as he dismissed them, which Cody went and walked out with Strider, a maid lead him to his room which once inside, if strider had followed behind him into the room, she would witness him basically having shaky knees and collapsing onto the bed, face deep in the sheets.

Cody felt her hand hold his own which he just turned his head, "Well so much for a calming trip to another country... never in my life did I think that aprincess would care for a guy like me yet you want me to be your suitor..." he said as he looked at her a bit, "Are you just having me be your suitor just because you hate the prince or because you actually like me?" He asked softly to her.

Cody was rather surprised by what she said mostly because he wasnt expecting it. He was even more surprised by her kiss of reassurance which he blushed a bit before burying his head in the sheets for a moment before getting up and sitting by her, "I guess that its a little better to know that this has something good come from it. Im going to do my best to win against the prince in the duel, not to become a prince but to do it for you." He said kindly.

Hearing what she said made him nod in agreement, thinking that they had met in a rather fast and odd method but that if they do become married, they could work out just fine. Her second statement causedhim to freeze up before yelling a bit, "Wait, its a fight to the death kind of duel!?" He asked shocked and very scared.

Cody saw her cry and gently moved to her and hugged her, "I didnt mean to yell and I wasnt yelling at you... its just, its insane to think that I have to fightto the death with swords... its the 21st century, not medievil times..." he said as he was still rather surprised by the information but he didnt mean to upset Strider and make her tear up.

Cody heard her say she was tired as she rested against him but he gently laid her down on the bed and sat by her, keeping watch but he couldnt get his mind off the idea of the duel, a fight to the death, what kind of idea made that make sense in his mind.

Cody heard her in her sleep, he sighed a bit before gently rubbing her arm reassuringly, "Well dont worry... we are to be wed." He said aloud hoping to allow her to influence her dream so that she wouldnt be dreaming about the prince since it seemed she was having a bad dream.

He saw that she woke up in a sweat and had gently rubbed her back, "Its alright... you're awake now and everything is fine, nothing to worry about." He said softlybut in a way he was trying to keep himself calm considering what he had to face in the future.
