Zephyr sighed, "Not supposed to leave the grounds? I know the Academy had some strict rules before it shut down but - why can't you leave?" he asked, arching a brow. This was getting interesting, but in a bad way. "So I was outside the front gate...strange, I know I left the mansion and headed towards the country.. there's no way I crashed back into Sanctuary..." he muttered the last little bit to himself.
With a sigh, he shook his head, "No, I would know Oblivion when I saw him. It's just...strange. This entire place is strange, I don't even know how I got here."

Melody nodded then paused. "Shut down?" she asked. "The academy... was never shut down.." she spoke apprehensively, not sure what he was talking about. "We can't leave because it's against the rules. They say it's dangerous out there. It's also why students are not allowed out past curfew. It's explicitly in the rules, and we follow them for our protection." she explained.
"What mansion?" she seemed to have just as many questions about his questions. "This isn't Sanctuary. Maybe you're mistaken. This is Simulan Academy." she corrected.
She tilted her head, sticking some food into her mouth as she furrowed her brows in worry. "I don't know what happened to you before I found you yesterday... I'm sorry I don't have more answers for you..." she sighed. "Maybe you should ask Oblivion what's up. Maybe he remembers you from somewhere too." she offered with a shrug, not able to come up with anything else.

Zephyr stared at Melody when she said the name of the academy. "Simulan...?" he furrowed his brows, "Sounds an awful lot like the word Simulacra.." he leaned back in his chair and ate a little bit of the food in front of him. "Honestly, I doubt it - if he doesn't recognize me then he doesn't recognize me...ah - I should ask if you have any questions for me, I don't want to make this a one-sided affair. I'm sure you have plenty of questions for this stranger who's claiming odd things, right?" he asked with a smile and a tilt of his head.
"--though I do have one more question. Is there a student by the name of Mise Fortuna? he asked, wondering if Mise was in here. If he was, maybe just maybe he knew something.

Melody shook her head with a shrug. "Who knows..." she commented but really had no opinion on the name of the school.
Once he opened the floor to questions, she thought about it, eating a little more as she decided. "So you met Hexxis this morning... is that how she knew your name?" she asked. "....because if they were going to tell her for being on the student council, they would have told me as well.. since I'm Vice President of the student council." she speculated, not sure why Hexxis would hide that information like that. It was very unlike her. "And I guess, I wonder... what happened to you that you ended up looking like a mangled corpse outside the academy? Are there really monsters out there? Did you get attacked?"
At his question, she tilted her head. "Never heard of anyone by that name, no. Sorry."

Zephyr sighed, "Yeah, I woke up in the nurses office and started wandering and bumped into her, color me confused." He chuckled, "and to my knowledge, no there's no monsters immediately outside the academy. I got into a crash on my motorcycle...." he looked down at his plate, thinking.
He just nodded when she mentioned that there wasn't a student by that name. "Do you think I could talk to Hexxis about something without Oblivion clinging to her? I had a couple questions to ask her too.."

Melody seemed relieved to hear there were no monsters but was confused by his ability to ride a motorcycle. "...isn't that illegal?" she asked but shook her head. It wasn't her business. "Maybe you should wait until you at least have a drivers licence to ride a motorcycle, then you wouldn't crash..." she commented with a soft chuckle even if wasn't in the best of taste to joke about his crash.
Melody thought about it. "Hmm... yeah, I suppose I could arrange that... but you'd have to do me a favor later, okay?" she smiled and pulled out her phone and sent a message. Once she sent the message, she started to clean up her food. "She'll be here in just a few minutes, don't make me regret setting this up for you, okay?" she winked a bit then immediately was embarrassed by doing so as she cleared her throat, and threw away her trash. "....I'll see you back in class." she waved at him and moved to leave.

"I have a license." Zephyr stated and then crossed his arms over his chest and huffed. It's not his fault when things go sideways when he's trying to ride. Though, hearing that she could get Hexxis to come talk to him was definitely something he needed to hear. "Thank you, so much. I could make you a drink or something, I'm very good at making coffee drinks." He grinned.
Now he just needed to not ******** this up.

"Fake IDs don't count, Mr. Kardos." she laughed.
"Nope, I have something in mind, but I'll have to tell you later." she smiled and left.
There was a few minutes that passed before the door opened and Hexxis entered, looking immediately at Zephyr, blinking, then looking at her phone, then looking at the room to make sure she was in the right place. "....I apologize, I must be mistaken...." she muttered and turned to leave.

Zephyr stood up and bowed, "Sorry, I asked Melody if she could get you here alone - I had more questions regarding the information you gave me last night and I'd rather like to know more. You see, I ended up here while trying to find ways to bring back my wife." He stayed bowing but looked up to Hexxis, locking eyes with her if she would allow it.
"I can give you more information about my side if you can tell me more about what I need to know in this.... academy."

Hexxis tensed a little as he spoke, she opened the door and looked out into the hallway to make sure no one was eavesdropping before closing the door and locking it. "Did you tell Melody about what you experienced last night?" she asked seriously, stern about the question itself.
As he spoke of a wife, she stared at him. "....aren't you a little young to be married?" she commented and stayed right where she was, locking eyes with him as she tried to read him for lies, but he appeared to be genuine. Odd.
"I do not have a lot of time.... but proceed." she folded her arms and stared at him with a stone face that expected answers. "What do you want to know of this academy?"

"No, I told her I bumped into you this morning when I woke up." He stood up proper and put his hands on his hips, still looking directly at Hexxis and not looking away. "As for what I know now - it's called Simula Academy, I think. The word sounded a lot like simulacra, so..." Zephyr sighed and closed his eyes, "and possible monsters outside the grounds, which is why you're barred from leaving..."
"As for me being too young, the world I come from, I'm thirty. I'm married with two wonderful daughters and I miss my wife who I love dearly." Zephyr sat down and looked at Hexxis.
"As for my questions.. Can only one person on a team get the twilight stone? Who won it last and what did they wish for? What do you want to wish for and why? "

Hexxis nodded in satisfaction to his answer about what he told Melody. They may have been sisters, but she was still cautious about her. "Yes, Simulan Academy. It's prestigious. You have to pass a very grueling and difficult entrance exam involving academics and physical finesse." she clarified. She nodded about the monsters and the reason they weren't allowed to leave.
When he mentioned being from a different world, there was a flicker of concern or possibly confusion at what he revealed about himself. "......you do not look thirty." she replied simply. "So where you come from... you are older, and married, with children." she repeated just to make sure she heard it correctly. By this point, she was certain he had to be lying, if not to her, but to himself since he seemed so convinced of his own story.
At his questions, she narrowed her eyes. "The winning team gets the twilight stone." she answered then tilted her head a little. "Oblivion won it before, but I don't know what he wished for. I never asked." she then frowned faintly at the last question. "I wish to bring someone back." she paused and she broke eye contact with him, tensing only a little. "...because I miss them." she spoke a little more softly but her monotone nature was still there.
Taking a breath, she looked at him, "Why are you so interested in the game?.... Do you plan to join..?" she stared him down intensely from her standing position.

Zephyr leaned back in his chair a bit and nodded when Hexxis went over the info be dropped on her rather unceremoniously. He seemed interested to hear that oblivion won last time. Odd.
" So It seems we both want someone back...I Do wish to join, as I was told that this stone leads the way to possibly getting my wife back. I wish for her to see our little girls grow up... i want her to taste her favorite chocolates again.. I want her to live her life to the fullest without being controlled by the one who claimed to be her father. I want to hear her singing again, maybe even singing to the twins.." Zephyr looked off, clearly longing for his wife. He avoided Hexxis' gaze, but there was clearly pain in his voice. "Taken far too soon..."

She watched him carefully, then gave a very soft sigh. She could sympathize with what he said, but made no indication of such. "So I take it, you are intent to join my team since you sought me out specifically, or do you intend to join Team B...." she spoke calmly, not making hostile actions to him.

"I do have one question. Is it one wish per winning team, or is it one wish per survivor of team? " Zephyr asked, turning to look at Hexxis, wanting to know at least that much before choosing. "Granted, I'll join your team regardless, as in the world I came from, we were in a mercenary duo that was pretty fantastic. " he grinned, though he was still pretty somber.
