__ Zhi conscience didn't find any amount of ease since the Land of Floods. In fact, it seemed to only eat at her even more with every minute that passed. Hundreds of lives were lost because of her. None of them had any reason to die there nor did they have much of a chance to even protect or save themselves. 'I'll probably rot in prison until the end of my days for this...' Her fears were growing deeper and stronger. Her will to face her punishment was waning as the thought of execution also loomed at the dark horizons of her thoughts. Maybe, if she was lucky, they'd let her come out if they really needed her. 'Who would even want help from someone who can't properly control their powers though? I'm just a danger to everyone and I was stupid not to realize that sooner...' Zhi sighed, realizing that this wasn't the first time she'd beat herself up over something, but this time certainly carried much much more weight than her shortcomings to be of help to Taylor. "Taylor..." She remembered now, 'Oh yeah... he's waiting for me to come back. I promised he could smell the flowers in the garden I've been growing. Heh... well... okay.' How disappointed would he be in her to find out what she'd done? Disappointment. Yeah, that basically summed up what she felt. Despite all her outstanding and go-getting nature this was the result of her ambitions. She was weaker for being so strong because she couldn't actually use this power to be a great as Lady Bastet. 'Bastet never would have hurt other people like that, right? Of course not.' These rhetorical thoughts just hurt her more as they flew onward. Uzushio wasn't far now...

__ Traveling ten miles in an instant was so much easier with the ability to fly. That was probably the only thing that was easy about what she was doing now. "Taylor... I'm so sorry." Zhi came to stop miles up in the sky to utter her apology to the high altitude's winds. She remained cloaked by the manipulation of light away from herself. 'I didn't plan on it being this way, but at least I can use Lady Bastet's Oinin training to avoid capture. I don't think anyone in VORTEX can track me without any traces or witnesses.' Her bleak expression turned outward to the horizon as she further considered her next move. "I have to find somewhere to hide for now." Another long distance body flicker would carry her even further than last time the the fullest possible exertion while airborne. She wouldn't be coming back down to the world until she deemed a location safe to do so.

The deep volcanic lay lines between the Caldera Lake and the Awajishima Volcano have been hit hard by the meteors and nearby seismic activity! Soon, the whole island will go up in flames as Awajishima erupts. Pompei won't be jealous of how this turns out, and everyone who doesn't want to die to toxic gasses, lava, searing ash, falling debris, or collapsing landscapes should probably vamoose! The entire island will hit its erupting point in 5 days! wahmbulance

The closer she got to the land of eddies, outside of the land of fire, the worse her byakugan allowed her to see. It was more than horrific and loads of people were lying dead all over the landscape. She wouldn't be able to hold her stomach upon seeing the destruction and death. Her stomach turned and she threw up along the ground before her. Her eyes now watering from the tears and her heart pounding from the terrible feeling deep down, she struggled to bring herself back up to her feet. She couldn't tell it now, but the first stage of the Sharingan she didn't know she had was awakened. Though it wouldn't stay active as she focused on her byakugan to find a trail to anyone that might have survived. And though she felt physically weakened by the sight of everything, Masami would try to push herself to overcome the horrid feeling all over her body.
Having continued her journey through the remains of the land, on foot, the young girl wandered the lone paths without no one around and no one moving from the spots they seemed to have died in. It was terrible and the aftermath of whatever happened seemed to be causing issues all over the area. It wouldn't be long until something even more terrible started happening. For the time being though, she would keep searching for survivors.

I know I said Pompei won't be jealous, but they only had one volcano to erupt at the time. This volcano and its big sister in Uzushiogakure have erupted so those toxic gasses, lava, searing ash, falling debris, and collapsing landscapes are imminent- not necessarily in that order though! Masami's eyes wouldn't need to move as the volcanoes in the area began to erupt and explode. Different bits would come flying in every direction and she was almost completely unprepared. She slide her body into a unique stance that was only known to that of the Hyuuga clan and proceeded to spin around and fight off numerous smaller rocks that flew straight towards her. She would continue to move her body, never shifting from her stance as she used chakra to break each rock that entered into her own dictated range. And with her physical focus directed towards the debris, she would use her byakugan to search for anyone that might be nearby. Though trying to do both things at once was still hard on her. Each moment was filled with looking around the area and the very next moment was trying to determine that path of the flying and falling rocks she could handle with her current strength.

Each hand broke one rock after another, but once the heavier debris started to come towards her location she increased the amount of chakra in each strike and created multiple needles to fire off towards them. Numerous needles attached themselves to the larger pieces while since penetrated them. This gave Masami the ability to break them without too much more effort and also added something else to keep in mind as she fought her way through the devastation. However, once she took notice of someone buried within the rubble a few meters to her ten o'clock, she moved with more purpose. Her strength felt like it increased, as did her stamina, when she felt she had a reason to fight for. Another step forward and another blow, but every other strike, she would focus more chakra and blow back several rocks at once. She was even able to push much heavier and larger rocks away with the blow, as well.

Once she made her way closer, she had to target a specific spot instead of a general area. She took notice of the vital points of the structure covering the survivor and broke each one with precision strikes. She could hit them from a good distance and the power was even more refined. Eight strikes just as quickly as she was doing only one from before took the structure burying the survivor away and opened a path to pull them out. To her surprise, they weren't breathing and the life had already left their body. She let go of their arm and they fell back into the their own grave. Masami couldn't help but cry over it.

But as she stood over the now open grave site, crying, a massive piece of molten rock came flying towards her direction. She was angry over not being able to save someone from the tragedy. And as Masami boiled with anger, she concentrated her chakra and her movements and aimed her strikes upwards and with thirty-two strikes to the same massive rock all at once she destroyed it. Molten pieces rained over top of her and buried the body below her once again. Though they weren't large enough to burn her clothes, they managed to cover the body just enough and the young girl moved away from the scene with tears in her eyes. She wasn't able to help anyone and with the destruction getting worse, she couldn't afford to stay else she would perish with the others. She couldn't believe she was abandoning the area with the idea that there could be at least one more person to save, but she was too weak to do anything more than she had.

Well, this looked ominous. Byakko had not seen such wild devastation since the final days of the divinity wars. The tiger was on high alert as the human just looked at the rubble with awe and wonder. He wanted to find someplace next to set up a religion, but everything look devastated. Was he sure that there was another village? Senran seemed to have implied so, but this place looked like it was cleansed of life. Still, he came this far, he might as well check. With nothing to lose Byakko and Byakko continued their journey.
