Ankhseram sensed massive death, so his father sent him to investigate and asked him if he has a stone. Spirit was grossed out and looked at the human bloodless corpse, "Those are humans? Who did kill all the human in this academy?" he asked him, Ankhseram lifted his right glowing palm to unfold it to reveal the Soul Stone, it continue to glow as it's telling him about a lot of amount of death. He have a little knowledge about the Soul Stone, but he only knows it's possible the most dangerous stone in universe. He have no choice, but to bring it to test it out, Spirit noticed the stone, "They were all killed by that tree known as Qliphoth, I heard the story when I was just a child, they need the blood to nourish the tree to produce a fruit once a thousand years," he explains to Spirit about Qliphoth Tree. He notice Spirit looked at Soul Stone, "One of six infinity stones, this Soul Stone suddenly appeared before my eyes. I cannot destroy it because it's one of cosmetic that exist since big bang, however this stone is probably extremely dangerous. I have to use it carefully," he explains to Spirit about Soul Stone, before he lifted his right hand to let the soul stone glow to gather the souls of deceased. Once they were all gathered, Ankhseram sadly looked at countless souls, then he closed his eyes and folded his palm to hide the stone and put it in his pocket, "I'm sorry, I cannot bring you all back to life, but I will send you all to better place," he explains to them and send the lost souls to afterlife. Spirit felt sorry of them, "They were not meant to die from blood loss," he commented, and he heard the sound as he noticed the demons staring at him and ANkhseram. This startled him, "What the h*ll is that!?" "The lesser demon known as Empusa, one of symbiotic relationship with Qliphoth Tree. They probably smelled our blood, and sent to kill us and collect enough blood," Ankhseram explains to him calmly and he lifted his left hand out, Spirit felt uneasy and he transformed into death scythe. Ankhseram smirked and the Empusas were about to attack him, but he reaped them by one swing and they fell to death, "They don't know I am the son of grim reaper," he muttered and he head inside of Atlas Academy with death scythe in his hand.

Ankhseram sensed something was off, until suddenly the demon begin to scream as he and Spirit in death scythe form covered their ears. Ankhseram turned around and saw the demon known as Artemis, he widen his eyes, "Ah cr*p," "I never thought they have attractive female demons," said Spirit in flirty way, Ankhseram irked, "Demons are like humans genders, but something isn't right," he replied and suspicious about the demon. Artemis boost it's speed to ram over Ankhseram, who couldn't keep up and huit by it's demonic energy. Spirit begin to worry, "Lord Ankhseram!" he shouts, Ankhseram can feel someone return the dead back to life, it's ticked him off, "Who the h*ll bring the person back to life!?" he yelled, before he kept getting rammed by Artemis. Suddenly the gun shot at Artemis, who turn it's attention to Nero. He smirked at Artemis and aiming his Blue Rose at it, "What, no chit-chat or monologue? Just getting right to the point, huh?" he mocking the demon before he aiming at the Artemis. Ankhseram and Spirit were puzzled, but Ankhseram knew Nero has a demonic blood belongs to Sparda. Artemis's head revealed to be missing upper portion of it's head, and it's mouth screaming. Nero glanced at Ankhseram, "Get out of here, I got this," he said. Ankhseram sighed and lowered his death scythe, "I have something or someone to deal with," he muttered and he disappeared in black smoke. Nero refocus on Artemis, who screamed and shoots it's beams. Nero sense something isn't right, "This demon... Something different about it..." he said to himself and equipped punchline. He set it to rocket launcher to give the rapid punches, and he swing his Red Queen to slice it before Artemis backed away. Nero continue to fight after it as it shot the rocket as it let out a strange singing, Nero couldn't help and comment, "Hey! Don't you, ih, need those?" he mockingly asked it, while dodging the lasers and continue to attack it. Unknownist to him, Mido and his men appeared in purple smoke as they observe Nero.
Meanwhile, V finished fought the demons with both Shadow and Griffin, who were acting strange earlier, they found Sword of Sparda. V was about to touch it, but Griffin spoken out, "V, I wouldn't wield that, you don't have enough strong will to told that sword. We can wait for Nero," he warned him about Sparda's Sword aura, and suggest Nero should wield it. V shook his head, but he lifted his head because he senses something was wrong, "We need to find Dante, Griffin go and check on Nero. I have a feeling something worse will happen to him," he replied and request him to check on Nero. Griffin hesitated, "That hot-headed better not do anything reckless, but don't let that sword get to your head," he replied and flew away to search for Nero to keep an eye on.
"Your voice is SO annoying! How about I shut you up?" Nero taunted the Artemis as he finally destroy Artemis, and yet saw Lady's body fell off the demon's body. Nero gasped and jump up and caught her, but she's apparently naked covered in Artemis' blood. He looked at her as he recognized her, "Dante's friend..." "It's Lady," Nico spoken out, who enters the library as she looked at both Nero and unconscious Lady. Nero looked at her in confusion, "You know her?" he asked her., who scoffed, "From my gunsmith days," she replied and she suddenly realized as she lifted her finger, "Uh..." she halted as she let out a silent chuckle. Nero was puzzled, "What?" "I can't believe you'd do this to Kyrie. I'm gonna have to tell her, man..." she stated as a joke, but kept her shameful expression and turned around to pick up Artemis' remain before she stood up. Nero looked disgusted because he will never do that to his girlfriend. Nico turn her head as she smirked as she walked away, "I'm jokin'... Hey, loosen up your jock strap," "Ha ha," he let out a mocking laugh, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do," she warned him with a smirked and heading out to the entrance and let out her beat. Nero started at the ruin library, he later sighed, knowing Kyrie, "Kyrie would kill me right now..." he said to himself and was about to carry unconscious nude Lady, but suddenly, "Hey, where did you- Ow, how rude!" Nico spoken out as Mido pushed her away. Nero turned around and noticed four fully armored men staring at him, he set Lady down, and defend her, "A demon?" he said about them, "Nero, a hybrid human and Sparda's kin. Just as I am looking for," said Mido, leaving Nero puzzled. Nico was about to approach them, "What do you need for- WHOA!" he words cuts off when one of Mido's men s=drew the black saber at her throat. Mido didn't spare his glance at her as he let out a chuckle to laughter, "I am here for Nero human, I already captured Aerith Gainsborough, one of 10 hybrid humans. Nero's blood of both human and demon smells a lot sweeter like her, I will capture Mitsuki, Dragneel Siblings, and Odelia after I collect Nero for experiments," he explains to Nico, this alerts Nico and Nero. However, Nero grew angry, "You sick b*stard!" he shouts and was about to reattach his last punchline, but Mido's Judgement Edge expand and use his blood gift to slice the punchline. Leaving Nico and Nero in shock, "They are not human, but what kind of demon is he?" she asked herself, at the same time Griffin arrived, Mido speed towards Nero and give him a hard sucker punch to knock him unconscious against the shelf. "Nero! You son of the b*tch! Why attacking him?!" she shouts, Mido picked up Nero and he turned around to face Nico, while three of his men pointing their sword at her, "Demon? I'm afraid you are wrong, human. We are the revenant, but strongest of all and our species needs blood. My men and I already tasted Aerith's blood, and it's so powerful and gave me strength like I punch Nero. Hybrid Human blood is like a powerful drug," he revealed as revenants, and how the blood like Aerith and Nero are like powerful drug to boost their strength and satisfy their thirst for blood. Nico widen her eyes, realized Mitsuki and two siblings she never heard of are going to be in danger, "Leave that Mitsuki alone and let Nero go!" she shouts at him. Griffin was on cue to fly down and flapped his wings to let out the lightning, "So vampire-like being exist, so let Nero go, you sh*thead!" he warned him, yet figured vampire exist. Mido evades it, he held Nero under his arm, "Two down and four to go, if Dante is alive, 5 to go," he said to them before he and his men disappeared in purple mist, taking Nero. Griffin and Nico watched in horror, "Oh sh*t this is bad," she said to herself and she looked at Griffin while she head to unconscious Lady, she carry her arm around her shoulder, "Warn V about Nero's abduction by revenant-like armors, we need to regroup to find Mitsuki and warn her," she shouts and carry Lady back to DMC van. Griffin understood and flew off to the sky to find V.
V dragged Sparda's Sword as the power begin to twisted his mind. Shadow found unconscious Dante down at the ruin city earlier, it confirmed Dante was alive. V panted heavily because of Sparda's Sword was too strong for him, "The devil sword Sparda was concealing Dante's presence," he said to himself and slowly approached Dante as he dragged the sword, his darker side shown himself, "If only you could defeat Urizen... If only... No," he muttered himself while dragging Sparda's sword. He stood in front of Dante, he grew angry, "If only you never existed..." he added, just as Griffin dive down, "V! We have a probl- No no no no! Griffin shouted as V lifted the devil sword to Dante's head, "Then I...!" he raised his voice to aim at Dante's head. Griffin begin to panic, "Don't do it, V! No no NO!" he shouts, but V was about to aim at Dante's head.

Finally see Legendary Devil Hunter awaken, V smiled and slumped back in exhaustion. Dante finally spoken up, V kept his head down, "I know how stubborn you can be," he replied softly, "I thought it might be the only way to wake you," he added as he looked at him.

V slowly stood up after Dante said about his gig, "If you could defeat Urizen... then I never would have dreamed of using that child," he replied soft and walked to his cane and picked it up, "But Urizen... is much stronger than we ever could have imagined. I don't know what happen to Qliphoth Tree, it may be possible humanity were wiped out in this city," he added about Urizen, while he's panting in exhaustion, and possible theory. Griffon flew around Dante, "Right, sunshine, now put a fire under it. We gotta get going, 'cause that annoying pimple Nero is kidnapped by four men in armors. We need to find four human hybrids before they-" his words cuts off when V turned around and looked at Griffon, "Four men in armor kidnapped Nero?"

"I don't know where they are, one of armor said they are revenant, they are vampire-like, and they already taste hybrid human blood 'cause they already captured the woman name Aerith Gainsborough. I wouldn't mess with his strength Dante, he knocked Nero out by one punch. Listen if they find out you are alive and walking, they will targeting you," Griffon explained to Dante about revenants, and warned him about their strength after they tasted Aerith's blood. V leaned his cane, finding that information... fairly new, "So they capture the woman, now Nero... they are targeting human hybrids for blood, it will be really bad because Nero, Nico, and I met four other human hybrids, two children and two adults. They are all be good use to defeat Urizen," he stated softly about other hybrids he and rest met. He looked at Dante, "I don't know who is Nero's father, but we might need to find the revenants and see if they know anything about four men in armors."
