Aurelia wandered down the streets of the market district after her most recent mission with Koutetsu. She wondered what exactly they would be meeting about but figured it wouldn't be any of her business if she wasn't some kind of strange person. Her father would know what to do if he was here. He was always helping people out, beating all the evildoers and saving the world. What a true Sun King would do. The child seemed hopeful but then envious as she crossed her arms while moving forward through the already crowded streets. The scent of food was strong here are stalls selling all kinds of food made the child's stomach let out a fierce growl. Pork buns, ramen, even straight up meals from the more situated restaurants. The youngest Karna was so distracted by it all that her head turned to stare at those juicy meat rolls when she ran into something as a loud clang was heard.
Aurelia rubbed her head, though her head was ringing from that little slip up she had just had. Whoever she had just ran into had been carrying pots and pans of all kinds. "Sorry! I wasn't..." Her eyes ran up the body if the girl she had troubled. She was pretty! Aurelia would hop back onto two feet and smiled a bit hopefully. "Oh, are you a cook? It was the child from the resturant whose father, the Red Ruin, nearly unnecessarily decimated for the sake of her safety. Unki held her breath as she quickly scanned the area for any trace of someone who looks like the spearman in the slightest. Then there was the fact that Unki couldn't recall what the woman, from the restaurant, who kept the child in her reach looked like. It was very likely Unki was on her own here.
"If you mean that if I like to cook, then yes! Cooking isn't what I'm paid to do. " She said, setting the basket down before taking a knee to collect the potato. The little girl was awfully cute, up close, and Unki didn't want to disappoint her with worming her out of a hot meal. It was very possible that Unki had a bleeding heart for children and just didn't fully realize it yet. "N-no. You don't really have to pay me." It struck Unki as off that a youngster, in the hidden storm, would speak to her so freely. Was this child taught not to be cautious of strangers? Moreover, this wasn't the Cloud where Unki's face was probably pasted in a newspaper article just about every other month or to celebrate a charity event or a place where small girls felt like they could freely approach her and attempt to pry themselves from their parent's hands to touch whatever cute dress the Empress was wearing.
Unki was very much a total stranger to the spearman's child but went about trying to treat her as well as she would most other youngsters. "Do you like your vegetables? How about shrimp?" Granted that it looked like she was going to probably make lunch for the red spearman's daughter, it wasn't a terrible idea to bring her somewhere that was under Toso's eye. It could probably be the first place the spearman could look if he needed her.
This was all compiling in Unki's head quickly to the point where she plum forgot to even ponder whether or not this was a bad time for anyone. An artist waits for no man and certainly not an impulsive one .

Imagine her surprise! Running into a cook of all things here. The child would clap her hands together in elation at the prospect of free meal. Even if she had offered to pay. "Are you sure? I can give you money if you want. I've been saving my allowance anyway." Her rogue potato was secure and Unki began again with the little girl as company. "How about you keep your allowance for something that makes your heart skip a beat and I'll let you help me with getting this meal together?" If there was anything glittery to a child it was the opportunity to help in the kitchen, in Unki's experience at least. "Whaaaat? Vegetables are okay? But what about the crunchy ones that are juicy packed with their own yummy goodness? I know you're still young but they're so good!" Even the topic of crunchy vegetables bubbles her enthusiasm, apparently, and she spent a few seconds gently swaying her torso side to side . Her braid swings along for the enthusiasm spree.
But her metaphorical bubbles of energy trickle out to into something more thoughtful and centered on the focus of the meaty star of her planned dish. As for the words to describe a shrimp that feat was proving itself a lofty test of word-choice to bring a piece of food to life. She really had this momentary thought of Oh man, what do they taste like? They taste really good but that doesn't really work for someone whose never had one before. Unki skews her mouth with thought before managing to stir up something to say. "Hmmmnn.... A shrimp tastes a little salty, juicy, and it has a way of taking other flavors along with it. Speaking of flavors, I still need rice. Here- uhm-your name?"

The long awaited 'task' that Toso's shadow clone was given was now coming to fruition it was tasked with readying well himself with appropriate equipment for the coming war. It had ventured to purachase materials {-4000 Ryo for 2 Special Kits} and was now at work in the workshop that himself and Trefles shared. Of course said workshop was also shared with another woman and her father but Toso was given an exclusive wing. Once where he could avoid bothering any of the other inhabitants. He came and went like a ghost he often did. Ika-Shokuji also served as a place of craft but nothing that required forgery, a bread oven can't caste steel after all.
With materials in hand the basic shape of the item was being forged in a caste. See most people find this the least satisfying part of the process but Toso actually found playing with the 'sand' fun and reminiscent of home. Initially what appeared to be a rapier was being made and some sort of sphere along with the makings of blowing glass into an ornate tube. Had Kenshin been here threatening the Kage likely meant this man would be jailed on sight if not killed but Toso understood. Even he felt like he was pushing Trefles too hard. "Oh, okay! I'd love to help you with cooking! I've never done it before and Dad always buys me food." Aurelia seemed very interested in learning the basics and such of how the ingredients would all culminate together into edible food. Before, Belamos usually cooked himself or either just bought food for the both of them from a cart or so. The last time she would have a home cooked meal was when Tsukina would cook food for her. "Vegetables? I mean...They're kinda food, right? You just sorta eat them don't you?" Of course with her tastes diluted with fast food and such, her sense of taste would be fairly dull. "I haven't really tried one that changed my life."
At the description of how shrimp tasted, the child's curiosity would begin to skyrocket. The description itself was about as helpful as a rock in a glass house but now she wanted to see for herself. "Maybe you can show me how to make them? I'm Aurelia, by the way. You might know my dad, everybody in the village might. He's Belamos, kinda hard to miss." The two shared a smiled and took Unki's belongings to hold for her as their plans for the future were laid out. "Sounds good! I've always wanted to learn how to cook. Maybe I could make something for my Dad and make him smile."

"Ya'know you're pretty lucky then, to have a Dad able to get you something to eat if he can just buy it for you. When I was little, my dad would usually have to be ready to go out, be ready days in advance, with a trusty fishing net to catch something for my mama and me."She could have gone on about how they managed at times when the weather was too harsh to go sailing but this wasn't about who brought in the fish and who didn't. What this conversation dared to change into was one about how great a big green leek was in soup and how an eggplant was nature's purple gift but Unki held her tongue. Just a subdued, noisy inhale to shove out her praise for vegetables. "OOooooh, Unki has plenty plenty to teach you. The young woman hums a laugh as she backs into the store behind her with her finger tips drumming together. But she didn't leave Aurelia long and even had the girl in peripheral view for the most part and could even hear her continue to talk. "I can show you how to make them tasty. There are lots of different ways and cooking vegetables isn't too hard once you figure out your options." By now, Unki had returned with the bag of rice and Aurelia held the basket of assorted goods. "And I'm Unki and probably the only Unki in town that doesn't know your dad." One part fib, two parts truth. Unki didn't know the Red Ruin's name or what kind of prestige he had exactly. His face was a thing Unki, sorta, had memorized by now. "I haven't been here all that long, not long enough to learn everyone's name, " Unki looked up at the horizon of the village and off colored clouds in the distance. The bag of rice was bounced her arms before as she spoke again, "and I don't know when I'm able to go back. The thought of not knowing when and if she can go back to The Cloud wasn't a really great feeling she ultimately shoves out of topic on her mind. "Yeah, yeah! You can impress him with candied sweet potatoes or sweet potatoes and lemon. Mmmm...." Unki hugs the rice bag and presses her cheek to its lining with a dreamy smile on her face. It's been a while since she's actually eaten anything and it was an absolute miracle she was still going. Zucchini and rice can only hold a girl for so long. Two-fer-One:: The practitioner is now accustomed to performing techniques they have mastered with either one or two knives. Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique involving small weapons without paying the cost. This still requires the activation be utilized. Trick Technique: Blade’s Edge Rank: B :: Training Description: The user has learned to utilize projectile weapons with this style, allowing their small projectile weapons to be interchangeable with small weapons for this style. All projectile weapons used in this manner gain a slight speed increase for each rank of formless training with projectiles. This increase only applies to techniques from this style.

Dexterity: Two Halves :: Rank C :: Training:: Basic training in the style involves using the techniques one at a time, but this is slightly problematic when it comes to higher-level movements. To increase overall skill and proficiency with the weapons of this style, the user trains by using both sticks simultaneously instead of in the disjointed way that the early stages emphasized. After mastering this training, the user gains a slight boost to speed for all techniques in the style. Dexterity: Footwork :: Rank B :: Training:: The user practices all known techniques again, this time incorporating basic footwork to add to the fluidity and practicality of the style. After mastering this training, the user gains a moderate bonus to movement speed while using any technique from this style or tonfa, twin sticks, or hard physical Formless Style techniques. Dexterity: Striking : Rank A: Training: ...the user employs image training to figure out ways to fully utilize the offensive possibilities of a two stick weapon combo. Tonfa Formless techniques are treated as complex when interacting with other Formless techniques. Swift like the River - Rank: S :: Training Description: The user practices speeding and slowing the Chakra flow through his or her joints in order to get a better feel for how the flow should go. By doing so, the user optimizes the Chakra flow and moderately increases the speed of all offensive techniques in the style.
Tai :: Training Pi Qua Quan
Basic Endurance Training - Rank: D :: Training Description: The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of X-Rank techniques in this Style are reduced by 5, down to a minimum cost of 5. Extreme Climate Resistance Training - Rank: C :: Training Description: The user spends a great deal of time completely immersed in the most intense weather the region has to offer. Following this training, the user does not suffer from adverse climate effects. Additionally, using one or more of the Pi, Qua, and Quan techniques in any combination increases the user's fortitude slightly for one post, to a max of one [1] descriptive rank per trained level in the Soft Physical Formless Style. Advanced Endurance Training - Rank: B :: Training Description: The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of techniques in this Style are reduced by half if the practitioner has used the same technique at some point in the last two posts. Pi Qua - Rank: A :: Training Description: By repeating the transition between the Pi and Qua techniques repeatedly, the user becomes able to perform them quickly enough that starting with one and transitioning into the other only consumes one action for the post, and also cannot be interrupted if the first hits. Pi Qua Quan - Rank: S :: Training Description: After learning all other techniques in this Style, the practitioner runs through them all again, stringing them together in the longest combo they can. Following this training, the practitioner finds themselves capable of using all techniques in the Style up to the highest learned rank of the Soft Physical Formless Style for 10 less Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina.

"Wow, really?" Aurelia asked, sounding a little surprised even. She never did think that a warm meal was anything that required rigorous work though her time with Unki though short, was beginning to reveal a whole new world not thought possible before. "I guess if you're a fisherman, dinner's kinda hard to get, huh? Not that my Dad couldn't do it. He's the best." Maybe a tad prideful but what could she do? Aurelia loved her father dearly. Still carrying the bag full of supplies, she trailed behind Unki as her love for cooking would be preached. Would she be able to make the veggies as delicious as she described? Maybe. Unki seemed like a pretty versed cook and Aurelia was always in need of food.
At least that's what her father always said, being so skinny for her age.
"You don't know Belamos? He's only the Spawn of the Sun God. We're royalty." she pointed out though not knowing the many secrets kept from her since her initial upbringing or conceivement. "We came from...um, what's it called? Hmm..." She tried to remember the name of the place that had housed them for so long. Curse her inability to remember names so well. "Anyway, we came to Arashi with a bunch of people looking for a new home. You might know my Mom, Tsukina. She was the queen, the best queen ever."
She continued to babble on about the history of the Karna line, how important they were and among other things, her hunger for anything flavorful for the moment. Unki would lead the way to the restaurant and pull young Aurelia along for the ride.

The office was smaller than what the music production agency was used to. Five men sat in black suits as they sat around a circular table. Sandwiched between two of these men was the young girl with her pink hair looking awkwardly at her desk. Although she knew that she had to be there, and her contract was tightened to not allow any further ninja shenanigans after she ran off, she would literally rather be back fighting escaped convicts than listening to anymore of the executives. However, like a good girl she sat and listened while the men chatted on.
"Our numbers are on a steady course, but it's a complete shitshow in projections." The man with the blue tie said. He fixed his glasses before he continued. "Magic ⋆'s interviews have drastically increased in ratings because of the passionate speech she gave about the KPD in the wake of the devastation, but her bias toward authority has also alienated a subsection of our younger audience. As such, Ms. Rosewater should avoid any further discussions about both her accounts as a KPD officer, as well as any further mentions of the Police Chief, Kenshin Kosei." Selina's ears only perked up when she heard the name of her dear friend. She was saddened by the fact that her pull from combat was so drastic that she didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to him. The man with the yellow tie coughed to denounce that it was his turn to speak."
"Our resources were also cut after the rapid recovery we had to perform to get back our studio and business offices. Although Magic ⋆ is still the hottest name in the music world, our audience also became drastically shorter because of the isolationist procedure that our current kage enacted. Therefore, we'll need to branch into different genres of music in order to continue trending in the top of the charts." The men all nodded to each other as Selina let out a sigh to herself. It was easy for them to say that more genre's needed to be introduced, as they weren't the ones producing the music. Selina didn't produce it all by herself either, but the majority of the people who did lost their lives from the attack of Uzushiogakure. The office was barged in upon, however, by some young intern.
"Apologies for my rudeness," The intern said. He then brought a letter directly to the man with the red tie, who sat up at its contents. "My source tells me that the current kage continues to get death threats." He said as he crumbled the letter in disdain. He grunted as his fist slammed on the table. "Why did we have to set up residence in this village? No one is going to care about listening to music if they're too busy hating on the leader in charge. We need to get people off of their hatred so that they can spend their money listening to us." He demanded. The men in black started to whisper to each other in murmurs as they tried to find a solution.
"What about a concert?" Selina spoke up. The five men all turned to her as she looked awkwardly around. Selina never spoke at these meetings, but she felt it was only right at this point. After all, while she did not really know Toso too well, he and her were both ninja at the same time, and both served in the fight against the UHV. Therefore, she felt a particular passion when it was revealed that his legacy as leader was being challenged. "Not just a concert though. Let's give the people something they haven't had since our village was attacked; joy."
"And how do you propose we package joy, Ms. Rosewater." The man with the purple tie said rudely. This caused the other men to laugh, although the man with the red tie was avidly listening. "Well, people like it when I sing. It makes them feel better. When I sing, I feel better. Therefore, let's give people a chance to sing." She said. The idea was off the cusp of her mind, so of course it wasn't thought out. However, just as more snickering erupted, the man with the red tie started to not.
"An audition concert. And the winner gets their own contract." He said with a grin. The other four gentlemen immediately went silent as he continued to speak. "Intern, get on every piece of paper this exact quote. "DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN SING? DO YOU HAVE A SONG DEEP IN YOUR HEART?! WELL HEAD OVER TO THE GUST DISTRICT AND BELT YOUR WORRIES AWAY. WINNER GETS A GRAND PRIZE OF 100,000 RYO, THEIR OWN CONTRACT, AND A CHANCE TO TOUR WITH MAGIC ⋆". The intern sloppily wrote that all down on his hand and then moved away. After that the man with the red tie started to organize this event.
To those who are enticed, there is an open venue area to gather. Production teams wander around setting up equipment and there are various benches and folding chairs to sit at. The audition was open to the entire village, so any person, ninja or otherwise, could apply. All they had to do was find a person with a clip board and inform them that they wanted to be on the roster.
Kameyo entered the market from the restaurant, Taketori's arm still slung over her shoulder as she helped him over there. He was a little under the weather from the wine but he was recovering quickly, already asking about the drunk, rowdy men that had entered the restaurant earlier looking for a fight. Thankfully, Kameyo had avoided one with the help of Trefles, as breaking the law would've gotten her and Taketori booted out of the village.
She made some purchased from the shop, mostly medical wares an anti-genjutsu products that were unavailable in Gimangakure but incredibly helpful in a variety of situations. She wanted to study some more eiseijutsu while visited Arashigakure after hearing they were preparing for war but being an independent agent meant she was most likely to end up using it on herself since Arashigakure ninja would mistake her as the enemy more often than not.
She exited the shop to hear a man with a red tie talk about a contract. There was a lot of bustle on the street that intrigued her. Arashigakure was already so much more interesting than her home of Gimangakure that she was falling in love with it more and more each moment.

Chili Pepper Bomb [x5] < 400 Ryo > Exported from the Hidden Tree Village, these bombs are infused with heavy amounts of chili powder. When they explode, they do no immediate damage and function as smoke bombs; however, when inhaled, they cause a great deal of pain to anyone not accustomed to spicy food. This pain can be used to break out of a Genjutsu, but repeated or prolonged exposure results in diminishing effects and damage to the eyes, mouth, and lungs.

Kameyo was free to watch as she desired the contest be set up. As production crew stormed through the area, a petite young woman with bright pink hair made her way through the crowd. Because of the security around her she wasn't mobbed by fans as she typically would be. However, despite being surrounded by four incredibly bulky men in nice suits and sunglasses, Selina doubted the four of them could do much more than she could if she needed true protection. This was examplified by the fact that, the moment she sensed that their attention was elsewhere, Selina applied her former ninja skills to good use. She gave them the slip and was on the run when she head first crashed into the brunette woman.
"I am so sorry!" Selina said as she staggered backwards a second. She bowed formally at the disruption she would cause this woman. However, when her eyes opened and she saw her security team realize her absence, she instinctively hid behind Kameyo. "Could you do me a huge favor and just stand there please?" She asked as she peeped her head over Kameyo's shoulder to keep an eye out for her guards. Although she was older now, Selina often found herself reverting back to her younger teen tendencies when cornered with a difficult situation. She hoped the other woman would not mind any of this, as she knew someone like Kenshin would have chewed her out for acting like an escaped convict.
Kameyo was invested in the strange sight before her when she was suddenly collided with, throwing her off of Taketori. She recollected herself quickly but without her usual reflexes - an unfortunate side effect of her growing more comfortable in the village. She turned to see a woman who apologized immediately, but Kameyo's mind was racing to place her face and voice.

"Magic ⋆?" Kameyo asked in amazement. She had seen her posters all the way in Gimangakure but of course she'd always been too busy to visit any sort of performance. When she hid behind Kameyo, it caused the wanderer to search the crowd for who she could be hiding from. "Who's coming after you?" The tendrils underneath Kameyo's skin fluttered, making her skin ripple in a distinctly inhuman manner. It appeared the wanderer had not learned her lesson in the restaurant about not getting into any fights, even to defend someone of Arashigakure, because it would be law breaking and could land her in prison or the bingo book. "I won't let any scoundrels touch you," she vowed through gritted teeth.

Selina shivered in a comedic fashion when she felt Kameyo's skin vibrate under her grasp. "I appreciate it, but if you make any big scene, then they'll definitely spot us!" She said softly as she gently rubbed the girl's shoulders. She had no idea if this was okay, but she needed to calm her down. Selina could always be bribed with a good meal, and with her credentials she could go to practically any restaraunt without having to RSVP. Of course she always tries to do so beforehand since it's only fair to the management staff at the restaurants. But it was something she could count on to hopefully convince this nice, but definitely strange girl into helping her.
Kameyo stilled at Selina's voice and her hands on her shoulders. A security circle didn't sound like a big threat, so it was easy to calm down. "Probably for the best," she said without explaining her precarious position as a visitor. Though, her headband held a foreign symbol on it and she wouldn't be recognizeable herself... but what kind of celebrity of Selina's status would trip over a new face? She probably saw a billion of them a week. "I actually just got back from a lovely restaurant - that one with the foreign waiter, Trefles. It was pleasant," she confessed in an awed tone. She really was falling in love with Arashigakure more and more every moment. "But I could come with you anywhere; I'm looking to explore the village more, anyhow. Can you explain what all of this noise is here in the streets, though? Is it like this all the time?" She'd only heard a little bit about an idol contest or something but she was rather unfamiliar with the concept as a whole since she only barely understood Selina's fame.

Selina chuckled at the naivety of the girl. "You must not be from around here. This area is the most populated area in all of Arashigakure." She said sweetly. She then looked around and remembered all of the additional field people and production agents filling the market. "Oh those! There's going to be a singing contest in Arashi to help make people feel better. It's been a rough few months for us, and we're trying to give people back the hope they feel like is gone." She said honestly. Her hands retreated behind her as she started rubbing her thumb and she looked to the ground. That's why she wanted to do this event. She knew that her producers had other ideas, but she had to hold onto the good of this project for as long as she could. Maybe if she believed in it enough, others would follow suit.
As she raised her glance and fully noticed the other girl, she noticed that the woman had a headband she didn't recognize. "That's a headband I haven't seen! You must tell me where you got it from as we head out of here to check out the sights." She stated with a warm smile as she proceeded to lead a path toward some sight seeing places. She didn't have a fear of the headband per say, but her training as a KPD officer did recall to always gather information from people who were not a part of the village. Still, with how defensive Arashi has been after that Uzu attack, she was sure whoever this girl was that she was properly vetted and screened. There's no way Kenshin would have allowed any threats to sneak under his all seeing eyes.
