Niko opened her door and Hisashi immediately ran to his comfy spot. He turned around twice and then laid down. With a small bark, he went to sleep. "Goodnight Niko." With a smile, Niko placed her things on the table and got ready for bed. She laid down and attempted to go to sleep. It was such a long day. She tossed and turned for what felt like hours. Then she sat up and walked to her balcony.
"Why are we here...?" As Niko thought she was holding one of her kunai that she left out there. "Hmm..." Since she couldn't sleep, she thought she would at least practice her clan techniques. She jumped up to her roof. With the kunai in had, she remembered something her father showed her. She touched her kunai and a seal of lightning was placed on it. Shen then threw the kunai at the wall behind her. Then, preforming the hands signs for another jutsu she used, she raised her hand in the sky and fired off a jolt of electricity. The lightning shot off straight into the sky. Confused, Niko grabbed the kunai and reformed the seal, using a different flow of chakra. She repeated the process, this time with the desired effect. The bolt came back down and hit the kunai. It was not as strong however and caused little damage to the wall.
"Got it." Niko then had another idea. She jumped back down to her balcony and grabbed her sword. Back on the roof, she coated her sword with lightning. With her kunai still charged, she shot another bolt in front of her and waited for it to return. When it did, she quickly tried to counter with her own strike. The techniques hit and caused them to combine. Unable to expel the technique properly, it backfired and hit the wall, causing quite a bit of damage. "Whoops..." Though she did manage to spend the rest of the night perfecting the technique, she did manage to leave a giant hole in the wall on the roof. Before going to sleep, Niko made sure to leave a note.

Koutetsu entered the training area near the apartment complex he shared with his mother. Despite the ideological differences they may have had, Shinsei had grown far more rapidly than expected. Still, Koutetsu thought, with power comes the responsibility to resist the corruption of ethical integrity. For a member of Kajibamaru, such might as well have been Sacrilegious. Koutetsu's memory was sharp and he still remembered the techniques his mother had outlined in her letter to him.
Bringing his hands together, Koutetsu summoned a wellspring of chakra from his core. As the Chakra seeped across his skin, it began forming a suit of armor reminiscent of the Samurai. While Bulky, Koutetsu knew of a technique that might limit the weight issue, even if it was only temporary. He compressed the chakra around his form, the Steel creaking as it bent and reformed into a smaller state. Koutetsu focused for a moment on his chakra and found some of it was leaking out. Clamping shut on the leaks, he managed to retain the steel form for a little longer. He pointed a finger towards one of the training targets. He withdrew the steel back into his body and pushed it towards his finger. There was a large cracking sound, as steel bullet tore through and demolished the target. Another set of hand seals later and a Large wall of steel appeared before him. Placing his hands on it, he withdrew the steel back into his body for later.
Koutetsu made his way over to the broken target and found the chunk of steel buried next to another target. Shrugging, he ran through a few hand seals before touching the bullet. It expanded outward in a spike and the speared the second target. Reabsorbing the steel into his body, Koutetsu exited the training area. Heading into the building, he made it to the apartment and packed a bag. Slinging it over the shoulder, He made his way out towards the gates, a decision on his mind that seemed both hasty and risky given his usual sound judgment.

Niko awoke in a panic. She quickly looked over to Hisashi. There he was fast asleep safe and sound. She took a deep breath then calmed down. It was very late, or very early depending on your life choices. She got out of bed, walked over to Hisashi and laid down with him. He looked up for a second before going back to sleep. "I don't know what I'd do without you... I love you Hisashi." Niko snuggled up closer to him and soon fell back asleep.
When Niko awoke, she yawned and looked out the window. The sun was high in the sky signaling it was around noon. "Oh no Hisashi! We overslept!" Hisashi woke up in a panic. "Who?! What?! Where?!" He jumped up and was ready to attack. "Come on Hisashi! We got to get going!" Niko came rushing out of the bathroom, toothbrush in mouth, and started doing her stretches really fast. Then she quickly got dressed, returned the toothbrush, grabbed a piece of bread, and was off along with Hisashi.
Walking out of the building and onto the street, Niko remembered her nightmare. The only reason why she was trying to think about it, was because she may have accidentally created a new technique. She wasn't sure but in the nightmare she called it "Lightning Step" With it, she was able to travel short distances at great speeds. "It was so strange Hisashi. It was like... I don't know how to explain it. But it really seemed useful." Hisashi barked agreeing with her. "Maybe you should test it out?" With that, she decided to try.
The first thing Niko did to recreate the jutsu was infuse her legs with charka. She pushed off only to jump wildly onto a building they where passing. With a sigh, she dropped down and tried again. This time she tried using her lightning to push her. This attempt was unsuccessful as well, causing a dust storm behind her. She thought about her the nightmare again. In it, it was as if she were riding the lightning itself. "Maybe if I try it like that..."
Niko tried again, but this time, instead of trying to put the chakra into the movement, she put the movement into the chakra. She moved and then added the lightning to give it a boost. Then, Hisashi barked. "I think you got it!" She hadn't realized it yet, but she'd definitely got the technique down. She tried again, almost disappearing for a split second. She didn't travel very far, but she did very "fast".
Niko and Hisashi returned home and per usual Hisashi went to his comfy spot. "Good night Niko." And with that he was out. Niko went and placed her stuff on the table and walked to her balcony. She thought back to her nightmare. She wasn't sure why, but it all felt so real, as if she were really there. The "Lightning Step" wasn't the only jutsu she had used. There were quite a few and for some reason she remembered them all. She just wasn't sure if she could perform them all yet. Still, curious to find out, she decided she would take this time to find out. She knew she probably should go to sleep but there was this sense of urgency that she couldn't explain.
Niko again jumped up to the roof. Seeing the hole still there, Niko thought back to the nightmare. It was strange. The jutsus came to her but for some reason she could only see three clearly. The first one was simple. Her body was coated in lightning chakra. This made it so the enemies couldn't touch her without some drawbacks. This technique seemed complicated overall however. She wasn't sure how much chakra she would have to exert as well as the coating itself. She tried the technique, though she shocked herself at first. After getting it somewhat down, she deactivated it and made a water clone. She coated herself again, and had the clone grab her. When it did, it immediately turned back to water. Feeling proud, she moved on to the next one.
The second technique was almost exactly like the first, though it had a few fundamental differences. First, this one was not defensive. She felt lighter on her feet, but still there was something missing. She tired again. The next difference was that this one also boosted her strength as well. She felt stronger but not as light. Then she tried to mix the two effects. She was able to call up the field perfectly.
The third technique was similar to the Lightning Bolt technique, but fundamentally different in everyway. The bolt that she fired off was more dragon like and seemed to leave an effect on the target. She knew that training this alone would be tough but she needed to try. She started by shooting bolts into the sky. They were close, but not what she remembered. She took a break before trying again. The outcome was the same however. Frustrated, she thought back. In the nightmare, she used this to jutsu to protect Hisashi from a very strong shinobi. The only way to stop him was to slow him down. That's where this jutsu came into play.
Knowing the motive behind the jutsu made it easier to learn. She molded the chakra with the end result in mind and shot the bolt in the air. The bolt looked exactly like it did in the nightmare. She had to test it though. Niko thought about her mother for a moment. She remembered something she told her once.
"If you never experience pain for yourself, you'll never be able to understand those you inflict pain to. Though both are evil in their own right, inflicting pain can be worse than killing. It can damage your soul and turn your heart blacker than night."
She really didn't have a choice. This jutsu could be dangerous, but she needed to know what it would do. She couldn't test it on anyone though. Recklessly, she placed the lightning seal upon herself. Then, she shot the bolt off. It turned around and screamed straight at her. When it hit, Niko tried her best, but couldn't hold it. She fell to her knees, letting out a deafening cry of pain. After a few moments, the technique wore off. She hadn't even put much chakra into it. She couldn't help but grow scared. These jutsu all came to her in a dream, a nightmare in fact.
Niko awoke on the roof in a slight confusion. βI never made it back in huh?β Luckily, the sun was just starting to shine. She tired to get up but her body was still in pain from her jutsu. Still, she managed to tucker through. She dropped down to her balcony. When she landed, she saw a worried Hisashi. He barked angrily.
βWhere the hell were you?! Donβt scare me like that!β Niko smiled and tried to hide her pain and comfort him. βItβs alright Hisashi, Iβm fine. Was just out later than expected. Now hurry up and get ready. Weβve got a big day ahead of us.β As she tried to play it off, Hisashi could see the pain in Nikoβs body. He was unsure what was going on, but he knew it couldnβt be good. After a quick shower and breakfast, Niko and Hisashi were off to the academy to βtrainβ with Yui and Aoi.
As Niko and Hisashi started their nightly routine, Niko couldn't help but think back to her dream. For some reason she looked excited. Worried, Hisashi gave her a warning before he dosed off. "I know I can't stop you, so please be careful in whatever you're doing..." She wasn't quite sure what he meant though she understood that he was worried. She knew he had every right to be. It's just, to Niko, these jutsu were a way to not only advance in her training, but to become stronger in her own beliefs as well. Per usual, Niko hit the roof.
She already knew the techniques she was going to be practicing. She inadvertently thought about them all day. She was going to need her sword for this one. She set up a small target and grabbed her snake sword. She was standing so her target was just out of the whip's range. This is where she began. In the dream, this technique extended her blade by a small amount. It wasn't large, just about a foot in length, but it was very effective in the dream. She began to recreate the technique. She started to run her chakra through the blade. She was able to extend it. However, every time she swung it the extension wore off. She was confused. Maybe she wasn't using enough chakra.
This time, after running a lot more chakra, she tried again. When she went to hit the target though, she missed and slashed the ground by mistake. There was a explosion that followed that scared the hell out of Niko and left a mark on the roof floor. "Whoops..." She was going to have to leave another note.
After accidently learning another technique she had used, she went back to trying the first one again. She tried something different this time. Instead of not enough, or too much, she thought she'd try a small constant flow. This time, the result was different. This worked for her in the long run but brought frustration to her. She had accidently learned a different jutsu again. It was okay because that was one that she was going for. This jutsu was very similar to the first however, it didn't cause an explosion. This one basically turned her sword into a "lightning blade". When she slashed it sparks flew off of whatever it hit, as if it were being electrocuted.
"Why can't I get this..." She felt as if it were in the palm of her hand, but every time she went to grasp it, it slipped out. She was starting to get upset. She only had so many ways to try. She ran it through again multiple different times. Still kept dissipating. Then it hit her. Instead of running it through before the swing, why not run it through during. After implementing this, it worked like a charm. Niko was extremely proud of herself. Today was the best day she had in quite some time. After taking a moment to look at the stars, she was off to bed.

Learned: Volatile Lightning Blade, Stun Blade, and Extended Lightning
With Taylor freed behind him, the shinobi made his way to his apartment. Now that he was a Konin, and had a considerable amount of wealth to his name, he had begun to consider upgrading the size of his home. Especially as, for some time, he realized that it was likely that Taylor would need to crash at his place until he was given an official title and rank.
When the two of them arrived, the man opened the wooden door to his place, not considerably smaller or larger than many of the hole in the wall apartments held by Genin. It was, in totality, probably around six hundred square feet with two rooms both close together... and an interconnected living room and kitchen area. There was a glass window to enter the balcony, where one could see much of the city. The entire apartment's aesthetic was lined with wooden walls and wooden floors; smooth, almost pebble like texture to it.
This was his home, yet again. "Sorry, it's a bit small," he said, with a calm expression, completely oblivious to the repertoire of immature jokes he'd just opened himself up to. "I'm glad that you're safe. When I came in and saw them reading your thoughts, I was a bit concerned. But I suppose they found nothing troubling, which is good," he stated, gesturing for the other man to take a seat. "We have a mission, though. I believe we need to co-opt three rogues, or turn them to the fold of Uzushiogakure. Equally, we're in charge of acquiring greater intel on the Kogarashi. I've also informed Chie that, if I am to meet direct confrontation with them, I will simply kill them. I hope you're alright with that," he said.
Taylor was a gentle soul at heart, he thought. Perhaps he wouldn't be alright with it -- the Senju couldn't be sure. "Either way, you and I both have a life here. So... I'm glad we did what we did. I was equally pinned between converging forces before I met you, and now I feel quite empowered. I appreciate the influence you've had on me. And... I hope that you'll consider being my comrade in arms. I have no squad, and really, no friends left here. It's just me and you." He sighed, taking a seat on the recliner pressed against the corner of the living room, rocking the seat as he made himself comfortable.
His eyes were fixed on Taylor. It was as if he were expecting something - though what it was, was a mystery. Even he did not know.
Sharingan Training Shinsei had, before coming to the Temple to meet Taylor, trained in the residential district for mastery of his dojutsu. The sharingan was an aspect of himself he had not previously touched, largely because he feared the activation of the eye, implanted into him by his father. But, as his dark brown iris turned red, he quickly learned nearly all of the Uchiha techniques effortlessly. [ All non-Mangekyo jutsu learned ]
The only issue was, Shinsei only held a singular tomoe, when there was a whole scale of evolution for the eye. He had always been capable of using it like a natural Uchiha -- it did not exhaust him, nor did he need to keep his eye covered, and all of the effects felt natural and easy to train. However, he also needed to evolve it organically, rather than simply implanting a further enhanced eye. That meant practice.
First, it was important to mention that there were four 'lenses' within the eye. There was Hypnotism, which was perhaps his favorite lens, allowing direct or indirect control over summons. And, even, Biju. Then, there was Insight, which allowed the Uchiha to observe with greater alacrity, processing movements and occurrences around them with exceptional reflex. They could even detect upcoming movements and predict things before they occurred, their eye incredibly keen.
Then, there was Mirroring, which allowed the Uchiha to copy techniques and retain them for later. They could also choose not to retain them. This was exceptionally useful, as it allowed for Uchiha to be some of the most diverse shinobi. Elemental affinities were, to them, replicable. Finally, there was piercing, which affected genjutsu and genjutsu defense. It allowed the Uchiha further and superior insight into genjutsu.
With those four lenses in mind, he began to cycle through each of them with his own eye. As an S+ class bloodline specialized shinobi, this was easy, and virtually taxless to his body and chakra. He flipped first to Mirroring, though he didn't notice any visible differences upon changing lenses. He wondered if it was more of an interior thing that the Uchiha knew themselves, rather than being a visible difference. To him, all he could see was one red eye with a black ring around the pupil, and a singular magatama floating to the upper right.
The other lenses were similar; no physical differences, but he could notice subtle changes, particularly with Insight. He could see chakra, which was both odd and phenomenal. However, as of yet, he could not see the distinctive color of chakra.
For now, he decided to can the training, as he knew he wouldn't be able to unlock the second tomoe without extreme stimuli anyhow. He took a breath, and deactivated the eye. [ 9/15 Posts for Second Tomoe ]
A later time. He found himself engaged in a particularly dangerous situation. One enemy stood before him, masked, peering ominously as he observed the movements of the young - but prominent - shinobi.
A rogue ninja, one that had infiltrated the village. He was clad in black, head to toe. From beyond his peering gaze, one could see red locks flowing down his face. An Uzumaki? Shinsei was uncertain; rogue Uzumaki were uncommon, as they were both equally loyal and cherished by the village.
"Who are you?" Shinsei asked.
The man said nothing. Shinsei quickly felt his chakra swell, and glanced to his feet, witnessing a black seal before him. He hadn't seen it before. He hadn't--
A grip at his throat. Immediately, a massive, Susanoo esque arm of chakra extended from his back, and thrust its fist forward to punch the Uzumaki away. He disappeared -- or teleported -- again. It had to be... Hiraishin.
"What the ********?" Shinsei cursed.
"Fast reflexes," the man responded, in a low voice. "I'm here to acquire information regarding the Kyuubi from the now abdicated Lady Sanae. For that, I need to enter your mind. Don't resist."
But, obviously, he would resist.
The shinobi before him was clearly powerful. He had used Hiraishin twice with no exhaustion, and Shinsei could tell that his chakra lool was only barely phased. This was it, then. The opportunity to go all out had finally come.
Shinsei shut his eyes, then opened them once more. He exhaled. The lens set at the moment was Insight, though he was uncertain if he should keep it that way. The man was fast, so being able to track his movements seemed valuable. And, somehow, he doubted he would be able to copy the Hiraishin with Mirroring.
The Senju sighed.
"My name is Shinsei Sanada," he said. "And yours?"
The other man raised a brow. "Ah, the new Konin. I heard you were quite powerful, but wasn't certain. I suppose it's my misfortune, then, that you're the person I ran into. But I do need a hostage that's important to the village in order to make headway, so this works. Chie's prodigal son. I dig it... dattekuno."
That confirmed that he was an Uzumaki at least, though Shinsei wondered how he knew so much information already.
"I'm going to kill you," he simply stated. There was no need for extravagant notions. "Kienai no Kami!" Shinsei yelled, as his palms slapped together, and two mechanical-like arms of wood rose from his back, wielding katana. He moved forward in what seemed like a flash, closing the distance in nearly an instant as his two wooden arms sliced forward. Kagamishou was drawn in unison, and he lunged with a powerful formless strike, his wooden blade laced in chakra.
The man responded in a way that was... truly surprising.
"Shinra Tensei!" he yelled, an overwhelming wave of force repelling the attacks, as Shinsei was flung back and began to skid on his soles. "Wha--"
It was an implanted Rinnegan, in his left eye. The man had done a great deal since becoming rogue, it seemed.
"Do you want the Kyuubi? Is that it?" he questioned.
"It's not that simple," the man stated. "You're a hindrance, however. I'm not going to tolerate you any longer," he whispered. Shinsei shifted into a Western Bursting Fix stance, preparing himself to fire a massively enhanced explosive fist forwards at the target. As he focused on him, and watched, and watched... he realized that his eye had changed; it had developed, with a second tomoe appearing, and his clarity and ocular abilities increasing. The real fight began now, as Shinsei flung forward a bursting fist, a mass of highly dense, kinetically impactful chakra flinging towards his foe. The man immediately evaded, before dashing forward at incredible speed and raising his palm upward. Then, shortly before Shinsei moved to counter-attack him, the man disappeared in a flash. Luckily, the Senju anticipated his movement, even detecting it with his sharingan. Ducking beneath his palm strike, he sliced Kagamishou forward horizontally, managing to gash into the surface of both of the man's legs. The Uzumaki stumbled back.
Shinsei immediately pressed the attack, slicing forward with extreme speed as the two arms still upon his back flung to assault the man at his blind-side. Again, the same trick was pulled; Shinra Tensei. This time, however, Shinsei withdrew his attack before it was finalized, pulling himself back several steps. Once the wave of force had been disbanded, he dashed forward again, lunging his blade to attempt a final strike. It was a feint, a withdraw, into an incredibly quick attack -- all possible due to his Insight lens, as he could see the chakra of the Shinra Tensei disappear.
The Uzumaki's eyes stared forward in shock. A blade pressed deep through the center of his chest, as violent roots and brambles extended out from the core of his sword, beyond the pommel. They impaled his vital organs, seeking the sources of his lifeline and dismantling them all.
The fight had been between two opponents of similar overall power, but rather than fearing the impact of the Rinnegan on their battle, Shinsei had learned to counter-act it. As a result, he stood now as the victor, and the other man as the defeated... with blood pooling from his chest, gorging out onto the ground.
"Impressive," the man simply stated. "Congratulations on your willingness to... tow the line of the village. I imagined you might have been more keen than the rest of Uzushio's slaves, but I suppose not."
Shinsei's brow rose. The man spoke... almost similarly to him, around the time that he left, though his ideological passions had risen to the extreme of violence. He was too far gone. "I'm all for disagreeing," Shinsei spoke, shaking his head as he watched the man fall to his knees, his life rapidly fading. "But not for assaulting a village, or starting a war, or killing those you feel displeasure towards. There is nothing to be gained by that," he said.
And the man sighed, as his body fell limp, and the light faded from his eyes. He was gone -- mission complete. [ Three Tomoe Training and Life Threatening Battle Complete; Unlocked ]
Taylor had Horus merge with his golden hilt sword so that he could stay with him as they entered the house. The boy was amazed to be in something that was akin to a house after the past few weeks. His memories lacked any proper foundation of what his home was like, so he would not complain about the situation here. He stood close to the door frame as Shinsei delivered all of the information about their plan. It seemed a little foolish to Taylor that the kage tasked them with trying to corral rogues to a village, but Shinsei seemed behind the idea. Taylor smiled when he heard Shinsei appreciate what Taylor had brought into his life.
"I'm so glad that I met you when I did, Shinsei." Taylor said softly. His smile was gentle, but it was filled with hope. "When Masato helped me remember a piece of who I was, I was afraid. I thought all I would bring is bad fortune to the people who held me in such high regard. But, thanks to you, we fixed it! I no longer now have Uzushiogakure trying to hunt me down. I owe you far more than camaraderie, and you humble me by asking for it." Taylor said with a light blush. It was embarrassing to be in someone's debt to such an extent. But, he would not fail his friend! Taylor promised that internally to himself. As long as Shinsei wanted him by his side, he would stay there.

"Niko! We have to go NOW!" She was being pulled away by Itsuki struggling to get free. "Hisashi! Let me go! I need to help him! Hisashi! HISASHI!"
Niko's eyes shot open. She was breathing heavily and dripping in sweat. Sitting up, she was terrified. It took her a quite a while to calm down. The sun was starting to rise by the time she had stopped shaking. "Why was he there...?"
Hisashi awoke not too long later. The first thing he noticed was Niko's face. It was obvious she had been crying. The next thing he noticed He didn't say anything. He just went over and laid by her. Niko Snuggled up to him and they sat with each other like that for a while.
After the morning routine, Niko and Hisashi were off. They still had a bit of time before they had to meet Ryota at the dojo, so she decided to go to the lake again. For some reason though, Niko had a pack of toothpicks. She spent the entire walk to the lake spitting off toothpicks from her mouth. She wasn't sure why she was doing it. Oddly, the action was sort of a stress reliever for her. It was keeping her mind off of the nightmare. It was the same one, but there was more this time. The inclusion of Itsuki was strange as well. It was all too much to think about, hence the toothpicks. By the time she made it too the lake, she could've been a toothpick spitting champion, you know if they had that sort of thing.
I'm so glad that I met you when I did, Shinsei, the boy said. Immediately, the Konin's face deepened a shade of red, as Taylor spoke his praises and his joy. He had forgotten everything, and feared his remembrance for what it could do to others. But Shinsei... had fixed that. He'd actually accomplished something for the good, that didn't involve killing whoever was acting as an inhibitor. Chie was a gracious woman, and she allowed them the opportunity out of trust. He was grateful for that. And Taylor was grateful to him for trying, a thing few others would have done.
The shinobi nodded his head. "It's no problem, Taylor," he said, a smile tugging at his lips. I owe you far more than camaraderie, the once-rogue stated, expressing his appreciation. Before long, the two of them were both equally blushing. And equally staring. Shinsei refrained from speaking, because he felt nervous and... socially awkward, and had little clue what to say. What did Taylor owe him, then? He thought about it. And thought about it, as his face went stupidly warm and his body was crawling with a mad, tingling sensation that he had never felt before; partially because, as the two stared at one another, he found that Taylor was quite beautiful.
Then, as his mind blanked and his inhibitions reeled back, he pressed his face gently forward and attempted to plant a kiss upon the Kaguya's lips.
Taylor's breath halted when Shinsei approached. The smell of the man overwhelmed his senses. He felt small and vulnerable. The man's body warmth was intoxicating. His eyes looked up at Shinsei's lips, and then his eyes. "Shinsei?" Before the name was finished, the boy's lips were met. Wide eyes blossomed from him as he was spellbound into silence. When their lips parted and their vision was aligned Taylor looked at Shinsei softly. What had just happened? What did Shinsei just do? And, why did it feel so right? A nervous smile crossed his face. It feel like holy lightning danced through his body and regenerated a portion of his soul long dormant. Why did he want more? He wanted to pin Shinsei to a wall and unleash his primal libido. However, a voice echoed in his head. 'What are you doing? You know better.' It felt like his voice, but someone with more knowledge. Someone who had more memories of who he was. Someone who was trying to wrestle control. It terrified him. He broke eye contact and slipped out of the masculine, overwhelming presence of Shinsei by stepping to the left. "Well, ummm..." Taylor said as he scratched the back of his head. "You... ummm...." He was lost for words. "You taste nice." He said nervously. You taste nice. Taylor legitimately did not know if he could say something to worsen the moment than that. His eyes looked back at the door. "W-we should go. Get the mission down, get the Uzukage on our side, that stuff." He said with a awkward shake of his head. He moved for the door and left. On the other side of the door Taylor paused before he moved further. His heart was racing like an wild stallion. He felt like he could faint at any minute. It took every last piece of willpower to break away from that room. He hoped that he made the right call, and that he didn't damage whatever this was that was occurring. Deep in his thoughts, Taylor made for the village gates.

Enjoyment, satisfaction, doubt, apprehension. The interior of Taylor's mind, within that moment, must have been rather complicated -- Shinsei knew that. The kiss, while it lasted, was nice... though of course he pulled away, as his face lit somewhat grimly with a sort of confusion, interlaced with the pleasure of their two mouths meeting. Shinsei didn't mind -- he wasn't upset, and he didn't feel rejected. He understood that Taylor was perhaps on a different wavelength, or that he was afraid, or shy, or... something else. It didn't matter his reason - he could take all the time he liked. Shinsei knew he enjoyed the kiss, and wanted more.
And, as awkward as his wording was, he was... somewhat pleased to hear that he 'tasted nice'.
Taylor was an interesting fellow. And, as he exited the apartment and remained stowed at the door, his heart racing... the Senju noticed his presence, his weight upon the door, the subtlety of his breathing through his honed ears. He pressed his palm against the other side of the door, almost as if to calm the other down, to reassure him.
And he waited. Once Taylor finally regained himself and headed towards the gates, Shinsei followed.

"Katon: Goka Mekkyaku," he sounded, as a wave of flame washed outward, covering the land before him in a flash of overwhelming fire. Or it would have, had it not been suppressed within a dome of wood, encircling around itself as it washed up against the wooden bowl that shaped around it. This was concentration; focus. He was... attempting to advance himself further, onto trainings that had been done by no other before him.
In a way, Shinsei was innovating - he was opening doorways previously unopened. And it was working, and well.
Amidst his concentration, he practiced performing his new techniques. Goka Mekkyaku was one of them. Then, there was Goka Messhitsu, and Bakufu Ranbu. [ Grand Master Training: Concentrate Complete ] These were the three pinnacle Katon techniques he needed to learn, as they benefited from his specialty in bloodline jutsu. There were others, though: all of the techniques of the Incineration style, too. And, with a partner, some of the powerful genjutsu... such as the reversal. What came next was learning new techniques, and practicing them in tandem. This began with Magen: RinshΕ [ Demonic Illusion: Confrontation Chant ], a powerful genjutsu accessible to him in Sage Mode. As the insect Sage, he had access to this mode on a whim, and had already gathered the senjutsu chakra necessary. [ Grand Master Training: Performance Learned ]
As such, learning the technique was astoundingly simple, as Muuna appeared atop his shoulder in a puff of smoke, and began to release a screech of sound throughout the field. Next, he expanded on his Katon, equally in tandem with his bolstering. Dai Endan was the natural fit, as Muuna excreted a slick oil-like substance and Shinsei exhaled a powerful, fiery breath. The result was an impactful and super-heated wave of fire, smaller than the Majestic Fire Annihilation in size, but highly corrosive due to its heat. His concentration was nearly finished, in tandem with his other trainings, increasing his access to the flow of chakra within him. Shinsei had - of late - been seeking to access his eight gates in a way that did not release them. Rather, he tapped into them, and felt their flow... and learned to replicate the soft echoes of movement within them. He didn't put himself into danger, nor release any great and monumental power.
He only... listened, and sung back. And it had begun to work, he'd noticed. Eventually - at some point - Shinsei realized that he was an arbiter of great change in the shinobi world. He had learned many ways to enhance his own mind and body at a significantly faster rate than others, overshadowing all that came before him. Even Chie could tell; she made him a Konin, despite his leaving. A position higher than her own, before she was promoted to lead the village.
She could see the power in him. He wondered where it came from: was it the Blighted Thicket, or something else? Something more?
As he listened to the song, he almost felt like he knew. But then... the power slipped away, and the voice receded back into the cocoon from which it descended; much like the old, dead God of Kotobasa Hollow. [ Grand Master: Concentration Learned ]

Koutetsu arrived at home. bypassing the kitchen, he headed into his room. Quickly, he changed out and hopped into the shower to clean off. After drying off, he changed and lay on his futon.
I've been focusing heavy on learning new techniques. Now that I have a better grasp over Ninjutsu, I'm curious if I have what it takes to create my own jutsu. He spent several hours laying there brainstorming before falling asleep.
When Koutetsu rose, he changed into a new set of clothing. Sitting at a desk, he pulled out a few slips of paper and wrote a few ideas down. As Koutetsu experimented on a few concepts, he would note what seemed to work and what didn't. Eventually, he managed to settle on a few sets of hand seals for each of his ideas.
The first idea, was to create a more malleable form of black steel. It took a little while, but he managed to create a very thin coating, that still held up with some resistance. After a few test tries, he determined it was good to go.
The second Idea was to modify an existing technique. For this one, Koutetsu headed outside to make use of the training grounds on site. the first step was to create a mist, which He began to add more moisture to, til it had become as dense as possible without reforming into a liquid. After about an hour, he completed the new design.
Feeling energized by his accomplishments, Koutetsu was ready to begin his day. Running back upstairs, he made sure to lock the apartment. Then after a brief consideration, headed to the Kage's Office in the hopes for a new mission.

Koutetsu ran inside his apartment and quickly packed a few extra things into his mission kit. He checked the date on the calendar, then wrote a note to his mother so she wouldn't worry when she returned. Exiting the complex, he headed to the nearby training area. Koutetsu weaved handsigns as he focused inwards.
As he focused a large amount of Black Steel began flowing out of his body and formed legs, a chest, arms, and a head. Koutetsu rose in the air within the armor, until he had reached over double his own height. A Massive Samurai suit lifted its arm, which bulged and contorted forming a cannon. Boom! The sounds of an explosion nearby as the cannon launched its projectile into a cluster of trees, utterly demolishing them. Koutetsu released the technique and returned to the earth. He was sure now that he had multiple ways to impress the upon the Warren his worthiness. He grabbed his kit and headed out to grab some fresh food to bring with him.
