Will the basket be staying with the parents? Yes! They are incredibly independent by nature and, without the close family unit they were born into, would probably have run off as a foal or filly. However, they are very protective over their siblings and parents and stay until they are grown and/or feel comfortably enough that their siblings and parents will be safe apart.
