How much blood could one person lose before they required a transfusion? Aue couldn't remember. What he could remember was that he was damned lucky to be magically enhanced or he'd probably already be a dead sonofabitch.
And then, the big Russian ********, brought his knee into Aue's already tenderized midsection and he was doubled over and gasping. Bile and breakfast came up, darkness danced in his vision -- Do not ******** faint, it's over if you faint-- -- and by sheer spite and will Aue stayed on his feet, staggered and groaning but recovering quickly because he had ********, but being bent gave him a really good view, in that, he knew exactly what he was going to do next. Still wobbling a bit, the senshi made use of his opponent's probable gloating and shifted position a bit so he could line up his shot and then --wham nutshot!
Elbow to the d**k. And not his injured elbow, so not slowed down by cuts or crusted blood. Just pure fury and revenge and a Finn that was ready to stand up and ******** ruin him a winged officer some more in spite of the reopened and freshly bleeding gut wound. Thanks a lot, you ******** b*****d.

Faustite groaned, pressing a hand to his mouth. Liquefaction spilled out of Aue in an unforgiving reminder to the audience that they faught with gall. A quick glance was spared to Helio for his reaction, then his gaze settled once again on the fight. Aue looked about ready to give in, unless his enemy slipped in the vomit and cracked his own head on the floor.
Which, given some of the earlier predicaments, might be what happens.
Faustite that he need no longer cross his legs for this event. While a slight relief, he knew the smell of Aue's earlier food would reach the corners of the room soon enough.
Aue looked covered in blood, and his enemy red-faced with foul magic.
"It's not that kind of tournament," he muttered as Aue went after his enemy's unmentionables. Or it won't be until later.
I'm sure that's how half these battles end.
"Naked and hoarse is a telling way to end a fight."

The first blows that started drawing blood made the kitten anxious.
The one that finally hit his face was the end for her, She started moving from the spot by Enyo, closer down to the ring. Her star lighting up so that she could stop the fight and stop her agent from being hurt.
She ran a little bit by Jet, moving to jump into the battlefield.

SpectatorThings were getting even more bloody and brutal than they already had been. Jet thought he might be concerned, but with that maniacal laughter and the cursing in other languages and groin punches… well… It was more of a dirty brawl than a tournament where two equal competitors showed off their skills.
Or got lucky.
There was a black speck that started down past him that caught Jet’s eye. The cat that always follows Seraphinite around. He scowled, but knew that she meant a lot to his friend. He couldn’t let her stupidly put herself in danger. So he quickly got up from his seat to scoop her up before she could get to the ring, and pulled his cape around so he could wrap her up in it, not wanting her to get the idea that clawing or biting was okay.
He let her still be able to see and breathe of course, but paws to lash out with or wiggle was not allowed. It was extremely difficult for Kamacite to continue watching. Not because he had a weak stomach for blood or wounds or even vomit, but because this was Aue getting hurt. He knew this match was intentional. They’d been paired and it was expected that they finished. One would win, and the other wouldn’t.
The longer this went on, the more Kamacite wanted Aue to lose.
He jumped again when his hand was suddenly taken, his head whipping to the side to stare wide eyed at General Tourmaline beside him, his immediate instinct was to shrink away even more. But she was holding onto his hand in what he knew was supposed to be reassuring.
Aue would win she promised.
Kamacite wanted to cry. He didn’t want Aue to win at this point, because he knew that it only meant he’d have to fight again. What would happen then?
The sound of the two men fighting drew his attention back, his trembling fingers squeezing tightly to Tourmaline’s. What would she think of him if he told her he didn’t want Aue to win?
But he would do whatever necessary to help him after.

He'd been watching the entire fight, because it was Aue, and because he had a lot of things to say about Aue and his fighting habits. But for now, Wolfeite stood there silently thinking.
And judging. Mostly judging.

Well, he'd been right after all. The two idiots had just fought. A long, drawn out battle where one would gain advantage and then the other. It was kind of funny how evenly they seemed matched, for the most part - the captain was a bit more on the physical side of things and had a size advantage, obviously, plus that armor and those blades....but Aue had magic and that stupidly tactical brain going for him.
It was both entertaining and also frustrating for those watching with a goal in mind, no doubt - or just other bouts to watch.
The kitten, Lace, was getting really upset at how banged up her officer was getting. It was understandable - he was kind of feeling bad for Aue - guy was gonna need some serious care after this thing ended. Maybe if you fought instead of taunting your opponent, you wouldn't be bleeding like a b***h now, eh you b*****d? Tiberius huddled a bit, not because he was cold or upset, but because he felt like doing so, no point in inviting scruffage for himself too, and chittered at the combatants. "One of you stop pussyfooting around and get on with it!"

To be fair. He should have expected something like this.
His breath left him in a rush, doubling over as pain caught up with his senses as, yep, the senshi took a note from his book earlier that fight. One hand over his sensitive area--there was some defenses against this, sure, but a magical hit was more than it was apparently full on great for--the other on his thigh as he grit his teeth.
Part of him was slightly reminded of street brawls when he was a bit younger. <********. Didn't help that he sent another fist towards the senshi's face for that one.

Again!? With his nose!? ******** b*****d.
Aue stumbled back, shook his head, spat more blood and took a moment to set his nose back into place so he could breath a bit through it, eyes narrowed and jaw set with malice.
"This ends."
Sera came in with a right that the Finn blocked, but took advantage of to get in close. He needed close for what he wanted. With the last of his waning energy and patience, Aue slammed his palm up into Seraphinite's throat, going for the thyroid cartilage there to crush it and smiling viciously as felt it give. The captain wouldn't die, he had magic to enhance him, and starseeds to eat - he'd be fine, but if he couldn't breathe, he probably couldn't continue fighting.
Which meant Aue was the victor of this endless ******** battle.
"Stay the ******** down, you b*****d." Aue spat blood again as he dropped Sera, who's weight had fallen involuntarily forward onto him from the shock and pain of the move he'd pulled.

"Certainly didn't hurt to ask." He commented with a bit of a huff. Excuse me for trying to have a bit of fun with our bet. A small roll of eyes and Helio turned his attention back to the fight at hand. Considering that things were starting to finally key up, the corrupt found himself drawn in just a bit more.
Plus it helped that it had appeared he may actually turn out on top of the bet. A smug satisfaction graced his face as he watched the fight less as someone studying how t fight and more as a gambler. It was the idea of having the ability to lord it over Faustite than the quota. There was just something about getting a leg up on the half-youma even if it was only for something as little as a passing bet.
The fighters picked up their spat and after what Helio could assume was a warm-up things got more serious as blood was finally drawn.
Eyes shifted to Faustite as his Captain shifted in an almost uncomfortable way. A little uncomfortable are we? Is the loss of uniform or the abundance of blood? Both perhaps? Helio still knew little about his commanding officer.
The smug grin, one worn by Helio often when he was rowan, grew as Aue was forced to spill contents from his stomach. Sure, a grimace passed over his face at the visual and some sympathy for Aue, but he had something to gain out of this. Though, helio had to agree that the cheap shorts were just that...cheap. A little couth would be appreciated. "Hm. I guess it's looking like I'll have a bit of extra time on my hands for a week, hm?" He said, throwing a glance at Faustite
That grin and those words were quickly regretted though as the fight took a very about turn and Aue took a shot that quickly ended the fight.
Helio sat stunned. How had he not seen that coming? Why did Aue manage to come out as the victor in a fight that looked like it was done half way through?

If he could have laughed, he would have.
The shock to his body, and it's involuntary jerks as his body dealt with conflicting impulses to breath but <********> that pain... He'd have laughed if he could. Seraphinite hit the ground hard, dizzy and barely able to get himself sitting before he felt his world doing a three-sixty and <********> did it hurt to breath.
Shallow breaths were all he could really manage, his head at his knees as he tried to just breath while his face still dripped blood and his whole body was ready to just say ******** it.
He'd entered on a whim. Figuring what the hell, why not? Could learn something from it. He'd gotten that in spades. Including a new senshi to hunt down again, rip his swords into again.
If he could have laughed, he would have, but some twisted part of Seraphinite managed a smile at least.

Faustite's mood soured while Heliodor's mood swelled, in perfect opposition to one another. But as the match progressed, and Aue managed a clinching blow, Heliodor looked crestfallen while Faustite appeared somewhat relieved. He closed his eyes to the scene for a moment, eyebrows cocked upward, and sighed through his nose. You're not as useless as your starburst friend.
But he looked like he wouldn't last another round. Rivulets of blood traced new veins own his skin, down his back. His outfit looked shredded, despite their quick refreshes. He wouldn't chance it until the medical team looked over his back. But he was standing — and more importantly, standing over his opponent. Which meant… "You lose. Twice the quota." It'll give you something to think about besides your poor standing.
He could rise and offer Aue a starseed; he knew he had one on his person from Schörl's last mandate. He very nearly reached for it — it sat in his vest pocket opposite to the one before — but a venomous thought stayed his hand. He very nearly traded away a stranger's life because of a sport. Because of juvenile impulse. Aue would crack a couple lives between his teeth regardless, but Faustite needn't add to that transgression himself. They weren't poker chips bid to victory. They weren't spending money to toss in the heat of leisure and pleasure. He knew better.
He wouldn't ascribe to Arsenopyrite's backwards morals. Not yet — inevitable as it may be.
"Come on." Faustite stood and beckoned for Heliodor to follow. "They'll need room to patch them up. I'll quiz you outside."

Her heart had leapt into her throat at that last minute when things could have gone either way, knowing that if anything fatal had happened to Aue the Captain he'd gone against would have quickly followed and god help anyone who'd gotten into her way. The fight was over now, though, and Tourmaline was on her feet, dragging Kamacite up by the hand along with her. "Come, Aue needs us." Tourmaline lead the way down onto the field so they could retrieve their sour sack of bruised and beaten lemons. Seeing him hurt so badly made her want to cry-- but she couldn't. She knew that she couldn't because someone had to be strong for Aue. And Kamacite. There were medics nearby, of course, but they didn't seem to be moving too quickly on their own. It would be up to her and the Senshi of Solar Flares, along with anyone else nearby who wasn't attending to the aide of Captain Seraphinite, to get the Senshi of Lemons out of the ring and to the healers tent. "You had me worried there for a moment," Tourmaline muttered as she dropped to Aue's side, drawing an emergency starseed out of her supply pocket. She had mixed feelings about consuming the glittering crystals. Of course she knew that it could be both dangerous and addictive from thumbing through packets of information along with browsing bits of Uvarovite's research, but their healing properties in situations like this were undeniable. "Eat this. It should stabilize you until Kamacite and I can get you to the medic. Crazy b*****d. I hope you enjoyed yourself."

He was on his feet the moment the match had been called, although it seemed as though General Tourmaline was planning on pulling him with her anyway. It wasn’t necessary because he had every intention of making his way down to where Aue was.
The General was muttering about how Aue had worried her, a strange tension creeping up Kamacite’s spine as he watched her pull out a starseed for him and talking to him in the way only someone extremely close to someone else would.
Kamacite didn’t watch the two of them as he lifted his hands to remove the decorative robe from over his shoulders, the silky fabric warm in his hands. As Tourmaline offered the starseed, Kamacite carefully stepped around her, his eyes drawn to the gashes down Aue’s arm and back.
The robe went over Aue’s shoulders, and Kamacite gently pushed Aue’s long hair out of the way. Until he was able to get treatment, at least the wounds would be protected from even more of the elements.
It was all he could do to distract himself from feeling sick. Aue was pale and covered in blood and looked like he was about to collapse.
Even worse was the knowledge that he would have to fight again.

There were medical aid stations set up around the fighting ring, along with bottles of water and snacks to keep up stamina and nutrition. Aurostibite stepped over, waving a red flag.
"Round one, complete," he said, eyeing the two still in the ring. That had been quite the brutal fight; in all actuality, very impressive. "Well done, both of you," said Aurostibite.

Lace was almost there, ALMOST to the battlefield when she felt her paws lifting off the ground and she was wrapped in someone's cape. Her small gaze was lifted up to the curly brunette and her eyes widened at the young man.
"Please...Please I need to help Sera...." The kitten wiggled in the burrito wrap but her paws and such were firmly tucked and she could only move her head to turn and look at her human just...getting...wrecked.
She wiggled harder, small meows escaping and little tears started to flood her eyes, especially as Aue did his final blow. Both of them looked absolutely terrible and the fight had really taken a toll on them. To the general, who she was sure named Jet, she wiggled more. "Please let me out now...." She said in between sobs, but also she didn't want to go because it meant going to see Seraphanite at his worst.
Small meows and tears escaped because she had never been in a position where someone of hers had been so badly hurt.
