Luxara's grin tightened at Vulpin's display. They were acting too much, taking too much time and not moving as much as she needed. Sloppy. Were they...making fun of her? Or just being dumb? "Getting splattered just makes you blend in with them more, Goldy! Move before a bolt gets lodged in your throat!"
Seriously, why was it so hard for people to just coordinate sometimes? Jeez, she was starting to really miss her rebel teams at this point...

"Are you going to shoot, Ardais, or what?" She was a little disappointed. Impatient. She could hide it well enough though. Not that she really had much expectations for some no-name, non-military ranked greenblood woman. Vixeni was at least doing well! Eos kicked the zombies near her, and another well placed punch left the room empty. "Maybe you're just a bit too slow for this sort of fight..." So that was the end of that. With a huff, she slid back down the pipe. Ardais stood up straghter, and readjusted her strap. She rolled her neck on the joint, then gave Eos a level look as her head was on tilt. After a moment, she chuckled at the jab.
The greenblood walked past Eostre. "Or maybe you should work on getting your team more coordinated and less trying so hard to be glory hogs, LT." As she went by, she gave Eostre a pat on the shoulder.
She didn't look back, only continuing down the hallway. As she continued she waved a loose finger gun. "We're heading this way, right? Don't be too slow about it, kids."
Down the hallway, once everyone caught up, they'd find her leaning casually next to a door. Waiting.

"Coordination is for wrigglers. Adults take commands, and make their own decisions, Ardais." She silently fumed at the shoulder pat, and then further degrading her by calling her a kid. She was an adult! She was a lieutenant! Regina's right hand!
With a click of her boot heels on the ground, Eostre followed the greenblood. The door, and Ardais beside it. She looked at the door, gently tapping the panel beside it. "It's another trapped one. I can disarm it. Locked too."
She went to disarm it, and stopped when she noticed her arm bleeding. One of the undead must have gotten her harder than she expected earlier. "Shoot," she muttered under her breath. It wasn't dire, but... not ideal. Especially if they still had a ways to go.

Ardais watched, soon noticing the bleeding, a deep cut through Eos's space suit. The dripping onto the floor. Looked a little grody. Heck, Eos looked pretty worse for wear, torn up in a few places for getting so hands-on. And if there were more things behind this door, like every other closed door, well.
Wouldn't that be embarrassing?
She reached down, scratched her leg a little, then pulled out one of her darts. "Hold on. I've got something for that." Then, in a quick movement, jabbed it into where the back of Eos's neck met her shoulderline. Fortunately, it worked like a hypodermic needle. The bleeding stopped, and all of Eos's wounds would close up on the spot.
"Good thing this wasn't a bolt during combat, huh?" Ardais asked idly as she yanked it back out. "Should be good to go, though, LT."

She froze for a moment, as something suddenly plunged into her skin. Eostre remembered the royalist ball, when she got shot and Tamiya pulled her needled fingers out, pushing them into her body. It wasn't nearly as intimate a moment as that, but her face flushed hot and blue for a moment, and she covered her mouth to stop a gasp from escaping at the quickness of it all.
"Ah... Yeah. That certainly would have been unfortunate. I should hope your aiming is better than that though," Eostre managed, her voice even as she recovered. The wounds healed quickly, and she was glad for it. "Thanks for the assist, Ardais."
Eostre returned to the door, disarming it with ease. The controls were so old on these things! But could she manage to open the door? She pushed against it, and tried to kick. It once again, did not budge. Were all the doors like this?

"It's very good, but mixed with the movement of gray bodies fighting gray bodies, coordination absolutely helps. Without it, well. No one's perfect. Don't you agree?" She leaned against the door again.
Ardais watched as Eostre disarmed the door, then tried and failed to push the door open. She let a heavy pause fall. Case in point. "Anyway. LT, queen's favored, you're telling me that after all this time, doors are still giving you trouble?" Amusement tinged her words. "I gave you a shot of 5 hour energy in your veins and everything."
She didn't budge from her spot.

That tone of voice... Eostre knew it well. It lit a fire in her body, and annoyed her to no end. Who was this greenblood? She'd never seen her before... Still. To talk to her like that!
"I'll keep it in mind. Valuable feedback," she said, baring her teeth in what was definitely not a pleasant smile for her. She pushed against the door again, slamming her shoulder into it roughly. Eostre had no intention of letting Ardais stand idly by while she failed at something. "These doors are ancient. I think they're just a bit more stuck than I expect, is all."
One more push, and the door splintered open, forced open by Eostre at last. She rubbed her shoulder quickly. "And on we go." Door opened, Ardais stepped in and prepared her crossbow. Before anyone else could get in her way, she aimed and took a shot. And that's when she really got to see it. Yes, in the corner of her eye she did see the flames licking the air, but. Now she could see the daywalker in full.
"There's definitely some sort of gas leak going on!"
Being on this ship was a less and less reassuring experience all the time.

She warmed up her tracker, intent on getting a real good shot. As she started lining it up, the daywalker came at them. Or, really, towards Eostre. Ardais could take the shot, but.
Well
It wouldn't stop the thing in time anyway.
She moved to push Eos out of the way before the blueblood could get bear-hugged by this brute and get the flames smothered into her. Luxara knew from experience that these suits were only so fireproof.
"This thing's just a little too happy to see us, don't you think, LT?"

It was on fire. Ardais commented about a gas leak and she was inclined to believe that might be the case. Something on the ship wasn't quite right... but if they could get to the control panel, one way or another, it would be out of their hands.
The grotesque creature lumbered at her, rank and powerful looking. She raised her fists, prepared to fight, when Ardais pushed her aside. Blocking it from attacking her. "Ardais!"
She couldn't reprimand it. "We need to take this thing down, and quickly. Focus on single point," she commanded. With a slight huff, Eostre attacked the creature.

Vulpin was in the zone. Orders weren't necessary, but they felt a little closer to cheers, so they were pleased by it. Using their signature tactic, they threw a couple knives into the target, then swooped in to retrieve them, twisting the knife as they did so. This resulted in more blood on their suit, and they tried to not look disgusted at it. This thing was already filthy. They were fine as long as s**t didn't get in their mouth.
"Vix, you're in the zone!" Luxara chuckled as she strafed. And Eostre, well. She was definitely punching something that was on fire. With nary a thanks. Only to be expected, really.
The greenblood added more distance between herself and the daywalker. Focus on a single point, huh... Well, it couldn't be where everyone else was, because they gave her no place to shoot. Instead, she opted for a knee.
Ka-thunk.
"Killing it's ability to move also helps," she quipped, Luxara-y cheer tinging her voice a little.

Eostre was focused. She was in her element. She was good at fighting, and she understood it well. It was easy. Even among the fire, the smog and smoke and sweat. She stepped back from the undead creature, grinning as Ardais stopped its movement with a bolt to the knee. That would make this easy. Almost too easy. Her fists, with her brass knuckles tucked carefully in her hand, made contact once more with the zombie.
"Great job, Ardais," she said, laughing. "Vixeni, it's on you now."
