Tevini had gotten the door disarmed again, and it seemed to be a little easier for the redblood every time. It was because of Lorata's own supervision, she knew, and so she definitely wasn't even the least bit jealous of the successes. When Perore burst through the door, Lorata stepped through the doorway and immediately fell back with a scream as another giant dog of a lusus leapt at her.

Forera used her momentum to grab it and sling it at Cerpin, cackling all the while. He could take it!

"Pshhhaw! Got it, thanks-" Cerpin let out a bark of laughter and grabbed hold of the strange monster Forera had thrown at him by the wright, pivoting so that he kept the momentum going. He heaved it upwards as hard as he could so it would crash against the ceiling and break some of the connecting tissues and bones inside it. Gruesome but also awesome. It fell back to the floor in a confused daze (ha, as if it were really able to think).
He stalked around it in a circle, toying with his prey. He was going to let loose and have some fun on this ship! After all, he had Forera and Tevini with him! He even liked Lorata, although there was somewhat of a rivalry between them as they competed to win the attention of trolls with potential. She saw heroes in them but he saw stars.

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! Let's have a little more fun." He was high on power as he taunted the crumpled form, stabbing his sword down into its back when it tried to get up. He unsheathed it and repeated the process twice more, some of that highblood aggression leaking out of him. These were monsters, not trolls, which made it even more okay to go all out on destroying them! He kicked the monster towards Tevini and nodded at her to help finish it off. She was stronger than she looked these nights, never giving herself as much credit as she deserved. Especially with those powers to swarm objects around herself as a shield and as a swarm.
"Alley oop!" It landed at the redblood's feet and grabbed at the girl's ankles, probably more out of fear than malice.

"Aah!" Tevini yelped, caught by surprise. She'd been scouring the room for a better weapon when Cerpin tossed the monster right in front of her. It yanked at her feet and she fell with a scream, cursing at the purpleblooded boy angrily. Had he done that to piss her off? Glaring at him, the redblood managed to kick it away and get free but was definitely not happy. Then again, when was Tevini ever happy? Stalking in a circle away from the beast, she decided to let someone else finish it off.

The others' attacks got the beast off of her, at least, so Lorata took the time to put more distance between it and herself. She shot a glare in Perore's direction, seething a little at her obvious amusement, and waited for the opportune moment to strike. When she saw it, she brought her weapon down with fierce determination.

With the three headed beast slumped on the ground unmoving, Lorata let her attention slide back to her squadron. The fights weren't getting any easier. The redblood in particular was looking worse for wear after that one, so she reached into her pack for a bit of bandaging and stepped over. It wasn't much, but it would keep her going, and Lorata needed her on traps. "We're still doing well," she promised, glancing up at Perore and Cerpin. "Just a bit more to go and we'll be back at base before you know it."

"Back to the base, huh? Y'know, I've been curious to see what the military dorms look like." Cerpin looked thoughtful at Lorata's words. "Maybe you could give me a tour. C'mon, if this this works-" He rapped on one of the walls to indicate he meant the ship, "You gotta let me see how much nicer it is on your part of the tower." He was certain it was much more luxurious and less cramped in the military portion of Chittentown's Space Tower.
It was kind of ironic that he'd built a skyscraper in the middle of the lowblood slums to gloat his power and then had been completely outdone by the Queen herself. Okay, he sort of understood how it felt to be one of the little people now, thanks.

They could do it!

She glanced between the three of them one more time as she finished wrapping the bandages on Tevini, then gave a nod and a smile and turned to lead them onwards. She was as ready to be done with this ship as anyway, she figured, probably more so considering how much of an accomplishment it was going to be.
"Ah?" Her attention slid back to Cerpin in some surprise. She hadn't quite expected that deal. "Well there's at least one very easy way to find that out yourself, isn't there? She gave him a long, considering look. "I wasn't only asking your friend earlier." Really though, what was their aversion to just enlisting?
"But, maybe it could be arranged. If the mission keeps going well."
(Lorata advances and prays for a door that she does not find)

She was being sly and coy and all the right kinds of charming, as she had clearly mastered. Cerpin knew Lorata was a whole lot of trouble to piss off but a nice person to please. He put his hands up and laughed, obviously backing down a little.
"Hey now, there'll be plenty of time for that eventually. I just got some stuff to do before I enlist forever and all." He waved whatever he was talking about away. Looking anywhere but Lorata to avoid returning to the topic, he tried to find something new to comment on. He settled instead for resting an elbow on Forera's shorter shoulder as they walked onward through the corridors.

A certain yellowblood's face came to mind and Tevini bit her lip.
She didn't like the direction her imagination was heading... yet at the same time hated that she wanted to know what happened next. Gog damn you Cerpin and your beautiful looks.
