It looked so inviting though, so shiny - as if it hadn't spent sweeps disused... maybe if she just... pushed... It looked like it could totally open right up, yep!

Leeroi frowned. He didn't even get to shoot his gun at the zombies? What a let down. Psykgi, in the meanwhile, had found another closed door. Interesting. This one seemed to be locked again.

"Alright, for real this time." Leeroi said, convinced that he wouldn't make a fool of himself this time. This time, he kicked at the door, and after a couple of dents, the door came crumbling down. He gave himself a pat on the back.

"Hmm. I'm beginning not to trust any of the doors in this ship." Sinter tapped along the wall again until he found the control panel. Some prying and some clipping and Sinter found what he was looking for in the-

"HEY WAIT WAIT-" Leeroi was already en route to force the door open. Sinter scrambled to sever the wires in the wall unit. The alarm died just as the door broke open.

"Some warning next time, maybe?!" Sinter chastised, returning to his feet. He didn't bother replacing the panel this time. The ship was already a mess.

The room beyond the door seems empty from the hallway, but stepping inside you are swiftly aware that you are not alone! For lurking in the corner is a dark groaning shape. As it turns towards you, you realize you are entering strife!

2 - Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. As the screens boot up however, dozens of red warnings and errors flash across the screen. It seems like there has been critical damage to the ship in multiple places. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
3- The ship refuses to power on, even after you follow headquarters instructions to make sure they are plugged in, and hitting ctrl-alt-del. It looks like something core is not functioning. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
4- Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the boarding vessel away.*
If any troll in the party has helmsman authority, they can steer the ship to given coordinates, then return to the boarding vessel with the rest of the team.

When the new flaming monstrousity gerbils came out, she decided to go in swinging. Flanking the enemy her a**, she was going to ********... uh... re-murder it.

And then flank it. As best as you can flank a swarm.

Leeroi was taken aback. How many gerbils did they take on this ship? These poor things, they were so thin and... on fire. If only there was some way to help them, but there really wasn't a lot of water to go around in space.

With a whine, Leeroi finally charged into the horde, firing off his gun as he went.

Leeroi dealt 9 dmg.

Many, many more undead gerbils spilled out into the room. Burning undead gerbils. Sinter winced. He supposed it was slightly less gory to take out something that was already nigh indistinguishable from the fire. The little guys made an awful snap-crackle noise upon impact with his sword. Embers fluttered about the room. Where was all this fire coming from in the first place? Was there a gas leak?

Sinter does 3 damage!

This time, Tamiya was ready. It was like... Exposure therapy. First, confronted with flaming undead hordes. And now, simple, free and easy gerbils. Gerbils were not scary! And on fire, they were still gerbils. Simple.

"Die, ********!" She roared. Her team was excelling. "Furore! Take position in front! A cannon blast should destroy these weaklings easily."

She looked to Corporal Mentha and frowned. "Mentha, over here!" She beckoned with her fingers, the healing energy within them glowing visibly in the articulations of her joints. When she got close enough to the redblood, she gave her a swift jab of support.

Psy wasn't sure what to expect when she approached, but it wasn't being jabbed with healing. That was actually rather... not bad? Not pleasant, but not bad. She had, she realized, been feeling a little... off. How it worked eluded her, but...

Leeroi made quick work blasting through the gerbils. He hoped the gunshot at least provided them with a quick, painless double-death. He stopped in front of one, last, lonely gerbil. It really wasn't that scary on its own, nibbling weakly on his space suit. Leeroi didn't have the guts to kill it. Maybe they could just leave it be?

Leeroi dealt 4 dmg.

The final writhing zombie creature found itself under Tamiya's boot. She held it in place with her toe and readied her pipe for the swing. Crack!

They were doing... well! If someone had told Sinter he'd be spending the night in space on a culling-class derelict slaying zombies of all species and states of immolation, he'd have either laughed or cried. And yet here they all were: tired, but ultimately fine.

"Good work, everyone! I almost hate to say it, but we're getting quite good at this." Sinter applauded the team. "It's only a matter of time before we find the control room. If we make it back planet-side in a timely manner, I may just have the wherewithal to bake a cake in celebration."

"I'm up for it!" Psykgi said, rallying all the way back to her full cheer. She clapped her (suited) hands together, "Lets see if we can set a new record, eh?"

"You wouldn't happen to know someone named Calida Opalus, would you?" because, of course, cake and her neighbor went right in the same thought.

Tamiya just... she just killed it. Leeroi swallowed his hurt feelings and turned to shuffle out of the room. Thankfully, Sinter's words immediately had an effect on his mood.

"Cake?" Leeroi almost shouted. "Cake! Cake! Cake!" He chanted, following after the older trolls. With the exception of gerbicide, this mission was going a lot easier than he anticipated.

An excellent spearhead for us to follow into our final quarter on this ship. Team, we will have this yet and find ourselves victorious among the stars. Carry on."

She pointed in the vague direction of a hallway, her other sharp hand resting on Leeroi's shoulder.
